Let me add something about the unaffordable, useless, college degrees … One of the VERY FIRST things Obama did as POTUS was to inititiate a Federal TAKEOVER of the Student Loan program. The goal and result was to make “student” loans to young people with ZERO financial qualifications (think: Federal No-no mortgage rules … where unqualified borrowers could get mortgages for the asking with no down payment and no income). The ACTUAL intent of Obama’s Federal takeover of student loans was to create a whole new WELFARE program for young “urban” youth. And that has been the precise, predictable, result … these education Welfare recipients cannot pay-off their “loans” … despite Obama’s subsequent reduction in interest rates and extensions of forebearance. The Federal Student Loan Welfare BUBBLE is going to burst … right in the faces of American Taxpayers who will just add this Obama Welfare program to the national deficit. The LEFT simply HATES to work. Obama gave-away more than Obama-phones … he gave-away Welfare to able-bodied young “students”

You are referring to the “ninja” mortgages….. no income , no job.
A policy forced on lending institutions during the Clinton administration, through various Democrat controled state and the Federal Fanny Mae, Freddy Mac rules.
Doomed to failure ( gee d’you think!) these toxic deals were bundled off and as we know, was the charge that eventually blew up in 2008.
