A disturbing press release from the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA) says that cyber-bullying from animal activists has caused the American Veterinary Medical Foundation (AVMF) to halt its “America’s Favorite Veterinarian Contest.”

In Ontario, there have been cases where the OSPCA has bullied veterinarians who do not concur with OSPCA conclusions that an animal is “in distress”.

and no, Im not referring to any gubbamint run outfit. this one is totally privately run by paid and volunteer personnel including well experienced and truly dedicated professional vets.

I remember when the local vets decided to hire a girl to deal with the cats/dogs. Neither of the men would even think of treating a cat/dog.
She was expected to preg check cows in season. Sew up a prolapse or deal with water belly. She did – as well as handle fluffy. My how things have changed.
