Six Republicans who need to go.

One hopes their constituents remember their lies next time they go to the polls.

Sens. Dean Heller (R-NV), Shelley Moore Capito (R-WV), John McCain (R-AZ), Lamar Alexander (R-TN), Lisa Murkowski (R-AK), Rob Portman (R-OH), and Susan Collins (R-ME) voted against Sen. Paul’s clean Obamacare repeal bill. All of these senators except for Sen. Collins voted to rescind Obamacare in 2015.

    Democrats follow Communists.
    Republicans follow Democrats.
    Do you follow Republicans?
How many degrees of separation are Republicans from the Devil?

  2. Just how much payola to retirement enrichment did these six get, to do the high wire acrobatic flip flop on ‘REPEAL and REPLACE’; on which they ran for office?
Cirque du Soleil acrobats would have a hard time keeping up with this group.

  3. don’t think we have to worry too much about Dead Man Walking McBrain. Muther nature is on our side!

  4. The devil is going to get McCain before the electorate will. His term is up in 2022.

  5. All are what is known as Medicare senators. From states that have much higher than average numbers of citizens/voters on the program.
The real two-faced one is paul who insisted on the vote knowing it would fail – jonah Goldberg has an excellent run down on Paul’s despicable conduct on the issues over the years.

  6. The GOPErs are a cancer eating the liver of America. Shame on the olllllld Arizonan’s who put McCain back in office. Shame. They had a viable alternative and yet put the FAILed Presidential candidate and Democrat operative back in office. Shame.

  7. “I learned that politicians are my friend and we elect them again and again. That’s what I learned in school today.” (The old commie, Pete Seeger)
Yeah Seeger was full of shit but the trouble is occasionally he said things like the above which resonate.

And Gordon Tuck, you might be right in saying Medicare but I actually think it is “enhanced” MEDICAID that is driving this, although it could be both programs since one can be eligible for both.
“The Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (“Obamacare”) significantly expanded both eligibility for and federal funding of Medicaid. Under the law as written, all U.S. citizens and legal residents with income up to 133% of the poverty line, including adults without dependent children, would qualify for coverage in any state that participated in the Medicaid program. However, the United States Supreme Court ruled in National Federation of Independent Business v. Sebelius that states do not have to agree to this expansion in order to continue to receive previously established levels of Medicaid funding, and many states have chosen to continue with pre-ACA funding levels and eligibility standards.” Wiki
Here is a link showing which states have “expanded” Medicaid. This will be lost if Obamacare is eliminated…. I guess. Arizona, Alaska, West Virginia, and Ohio but NOT Maine or Tennessee have expanded Medicare.
None of this changes the lead of this thread. Politicians are your friend….

  8. Primary them?
McConnell and the Republican Senate Campaign Fund will support everyone of the Quislings if they run for Senate again. McConnell and his henchmen dragged the senile, but still breathing corpse of Thad Cochran to victory in the 2014 primary by smearing his Upstart Republican opponent as a racist.
He will do the same for each and every one of these lying scumbags.

  9. That sounds like the kind of stupid thing an NRO writer would say. Rand Paul is one of the few remotely serious republicans. He came up with a real plan, he wanted follow through. The GOP in typically incompetent fashion railed against the ACA without a plan. The failure to repeal the ACA will contribute to the coming Dem domination.

    Commie – check the scoreboard.

  11. I’m sorry to say that Rob Portman is the Junior Senator from my state of Ohio. He is not a principled Conservative. I could not support or even vote for him in the last election, even though his opponent was hard leftist, Ted Strickland. He did prevail and now we are stuck with him for another 5 years. After that, he will probably retire, as he has done enough damage.

  12. There will be a part C to this ongoing saga in the Fall. The biggest impediment to repeal is not really knowing what the heck is gonna replace it. I believe Rand Paul and his Merry Men will cobble together the answer to that question by then. The next vote to rescind will be 50 + one Pence. By Oct. 31st.
