    4. Gotten Assad to pledge cooperation with the US in putting down ISIS.
    5. Gotten Russia to pledge to try to normalize relations so as to avoid WWIII
    6. Killed TPP/TPIP
    7. Gotten illegal aliens to start going back to Mexico in large numbers.
    8. Gotten Mexico to agree to renegotiate/scrap NAFTA altogether.
    9. Killed the Bush and Clinton dynasties.
    10. Responsible for gaining control of the House, the Senate, the White House, and SCOTUS, helped to increase governorships for the GOP and state legislative gains.
    11. Mended relations with Philippines

    Typical excuse, Trudeau’s schedule doesn’t permit him to attend…bull chips, it’s a funeral, we all interrupt our “schedules to attend funerals, they are never planned.

  14. We should be supremely offended as a member of the Commonwealth to be sending our representative for the Queen to the funeral of a brutal dictator. For the first time in my life I am truly ashamed of the Prime Minister of my country.

  22. I don’t believe this, but must since it has been reported:
    “At the request of Trudeau, Gov. Gen. David Johnston will attend a commemoration for Castro in Havana on Tuesday.”
    Like someone else said, he is the Queen’s representative and above politics.
    If he attends who then is he representing? I think the Gov.Gen. should get a doctor’s note to say he has the flu and it’s not safe for him to travel.
    It’s a missed photo op for Trudeau as pictures of him in deep mourning for his Uncle Fidel would have flooded the world press.
    I’m loving the fact that this is all before his first meeting with Trump.

  27. Hmmmm, you’re not going to fix your incorrect info in the SP/LP story, are you. So easy to just throw stuff up there, but when you’re told you’re wrong, you take no responsibility for it. So lame. And slapping “Developing…” on it, hoping you can verify incorrect info, does not constitute a correction.

  35. The report that the SP and LP will merge – that was denied by Postmedia to John Gormley on Monday. And the item incorrectly stated who is leaving – Cam Fuller is still with the paper. But this item is in the archives now – so I assume the reasoning is, why fix it now? I reiterate: so lame.
