Slightly OT but it’s certainly hateful of the truth, this morning the CBC said new US AG Jeff Sessions has a “hard line” on immigration when his line consists entirely of a call to enforce existing immigration law, a call that is supported by a big majority of Americans and one basically identical to Canadian approaches to illegal immigration.

Apparently, asking why twerps like Warren can praise “Pussy Riot” for interrupting a Russian Orthodox church service while condemning some graffiti (that may, or may not be from a leftist agent provocateur) is now also “hate speech”.

  5. Further to this, a good friend in Toronto enjoys sending me copies of articles from Macleans and Canadian Business – I so enjoy a good laugh! The latest bunch arrived today, the Macleans editorial is dated November 14, 2016 (Monday last). It was about the decline of Russia and started by referencing a visit which Catherine the Great (lived in the 1700’s) made to the Ukraine in 1878. If they cannot even fact check historical dates (which should be easy!) why should I believe anything else which they write. I and my family will only believe the media should they be standing in front of a burning building and they inform me that such an such an address is on fire. But even then, I think they would get the address wrong. There is also a rumour that Donald Trump will not be using a WH Press Corps, that he has very good people on Social Media and will set up a WH Blog to disperse information. I know I get my news from this site (which links to good papers in the UK, Israel and Europe) and iotwreport.com.

  6. Somebody could send in pictures of a BLM protest with signs stating derogatory racial comments, or pictures from Native protests with the same. Or anything with that Harper-hate on it.

  9. Why would a vandalism in the form of a swastika be considered racist? My assumption is that vandals want to vandalize and a swastika gets a good reaction. On the other hand, it may very well be racist.

  13. I fear for Canada as this Trudeau reign proceeds. They have no clue what they’re bringing into the country or how to deal with it. Pot legalization is another big mess. They have no clue how to manage it. Just legalize it and pot shacks will be popping up all over the country…down with tobacco..up with pot.

  15. I suppose any stock picture of 9-11 would qualify although the degree of vandalism was extraordinary. However, everything is on a spectrum.
    The meme to fear at the moment is our mainstream media using the term “alt right” to label anyone they don’t agree with, and also using the concept of “faked news” to include news that they don’t report or hasn’t been proven in a court of law (for example, CNN got right on the job yesterday by reporting on faked news sites with demonstrable examples and then instantly including reports of the Clinton foundation allegations which are more like things yet to be fully researched or documented than faked news).
    And I agree, many of these vandalism cases are just done by leftists acting as provocateurs, some are not too bright about it, one day I expect to see “persons of colour out” painted on a wall (probably with #alt right attached for effect), maybe fairly close to a lamp-post with placards announcing all the latest leftist conclaves. The work of the left is never done.

  18. It only took 30 seconds or so of scrolling down Eric Andrew-Gee’s tweets that it became clear he isn’t what he claims he is. National REPORTER…. Just another word hijacked by the Left.

  19. Hm, the vandals in Kate’s photo at east got the swastika the right way around, you must have a better educated group of vandals in your area.
    I hate to be “picky”, but they should have tilted it slightly counter clockwise,just for us purists.
    I may approach the Canada Council about funding for vandalism,er… informal nocturnal free expression classes for the masses, “How to get your grafitti right”.
    Canada is a cesspool of racist hatred, why,in my life I’ve seen…………hm, almost no vandalism based on racial or ethnic hatred. A few years back when I was living in a small city full of green nutcases,a gas station owner assured me that there was indeed a prominent group of NAZIs in the area,and we had to be ever watchful.
    His evidence was that he saw a barn several miles out of town with a swastika prominently displayed on the back,road-facing wall!
    I spoke to the farmer about said swastika. He was mad as hell at the “goddamn vandals” and said it was especially offensive to him because his parents had lived in occupied Holland during WW2 and immigrated to Canada after the war to get away from the whole experience.I didn’t even ask if his family were nazis as he was a big,strong guy and I didn’t feel like having my face broken.
    In the world of vandalism, “f*ck” is the beginner’s stage in the school of free range art, followed by the swastika, then message such as “F*ck the Joos”. Many vandals cannot spell their own name,but they always get that nice,simple curse word down pat within a few tries.
    By the time the artist has graduated to full liberalism, he has usually found government employment and no longer feels the necessity of scrawling misspelled message on buildings. It’s called “growth” or “evolving”.
