Hockey and most professional sports are really just soap operas for men (and some women). Same themes, same dramas, same plays, same politics, over and over and over. Only the numbers on the jerseys change, but they are still all the same numbers in the long run.

If only Bill Ballard had been able to skate, we would have saved decades.
Enquiring minds want to know: does the owner, Mr. “Nilson” own a box factory by chance?
The Flint kids could lose a lot more than a year sitting out the season. A year can mean a career. I’m guessing anyone signing any of the players will have to work out a deal with Flint. For the bottom half of the roster, Flint was likely their last shot. I’m sure the owner could put together a reasonable team in 4 days but they are going to lose most of their games.
If this is actually about the coaches not wanting to play the owner’s kid, what is wrong with them? It isn’t their money. Did they not want to miss a chance to screw up 20 other kids’ lives by getting in this spat?
They are going to be in for a shock out in the real world when the owners son becomes the manager even though he is stupid and lazy.
