Toll failed the purity test. There’s no room for lukewarmers (which most “deniers” actually are). You must wholly and unreservedly embrace the Catastrophic part of CAGW or be banished/discredited.. This is not science, of course, it’s politics and religion pretending to be science.
Think of the great debates and conferences between physicists like Einstein and Bohr. Today the proponents of the most controversial and still relatively immature science of the time will not even be in the same room, let along debate, their rivals. The impulse to ban and harass dissenting voices despite the rather obvious failure of mainstream CAGW climate models (The Pause and its dozen or so explanations) is strong evidence of the weakness of the science behind CAGW argument and the strength of the political force pushing it forward.

The CBC has dug their trench, they will shoot at Canadians until they win and install a gov’t that is progressive, or lose and walk away with their bank accounts intact.

Well there are some parts that aren’t bullshit. The surface temps have warmed since 1850, near the end of the Little Ice Age. CO2 is a greenhouse gas and ghgs do affect temps so human produced CO2 has had *some* effect. Everything beyond that is pretty much bullshit : the catastrophic, Armageddon-like speculation of what is proving to be a mild warming, the claims of increased certainty of CAGW despite the growing divergence between models and reality.
But the politically motivated mitigation policies are the worst. Has there ever been such a bold grab for money, power and control by the governing class outside of war or revolution? Such a massive transfer of wealth from the poor and working/middle class to the rich and well-connected. Have democratic governments ever before pursued energy policies that will bankrupt otherwise profitable industries and intentionally decrease the standard of living of the majority of its citizens? And all to possibly prevent a fraction of a degree of warming in 100 years. That’s bullshit.

Quite true, and the Goreacle and the Fruitfly guy are the most visible examples to our view. Somebody mention jail would be too good for these fellows.

Human caused GHGs might be delaying the next ice age to *some* extent.
Human caused toxic pollution, and human overpopulation in regions where they can’t feed themselves has a much greater negative effect than any amount of GHGs.
Those inconvenient questions are an excellent summary of the current situation.
The fact that the sheeple could be so easily manipulated shows the seriously alarming lack of intellectual capacity in our modern society. At one time there was a belief that the cyber age would make people smarter, unfortunately it seems to have enabled them to do even stupider things much faster, and share them with a growing number of other stupid people.
