The Wisdom of a Ukrainian Plumber

Theodore Dalrymple One of the things that surprised me was the ease with which an entire press corps could accept the most obvious untruth, usually convenient to some interested party or other, without any external compulsion to do so. (h/t Larry F)

  1. I wonder if he’s related to Joe the plumber, arch nemesis of Obama? Who knew plumbers were so smart and courageously outspoken. Let’s all go out and encourage a c*ap load of plumbers to run in the next election. Their slogans could be very creative.
Help me flush the trash out of government.
    Let’s replumb the system.
Who better to shut off the taps of government waste?

  2. Much the same comments I get from my acquaintences from that part of the world.
They can throw one crook out, but he’ll only be replaced by another crook.
Neo nazi crooks at that. They didn’t get the numbers at the ballot box, so they’re formenting this rebellion through other means/
And the western world is all to willing to bite given their NATO aspirations.
One of my friends pointed out this weekend that after the fall of the Soviet Union, NATO promised it would not give membership to the Baltic states. Apparently, that’s one promise broken.
Is it any wonder Russia is now wary of what they perceive to be NATO expansion with the current enablers in Kiev?
Just google neo nazi ukraine to learn more.

  3. Ukrainian plumbing exam question:
What are the two most important principles of plumbing?
ANS: 1. Shit runs downhill; and
    2. Don’t lick your fingers.

  4. Says the goof who denies the Russian invasion of Ukraine.
You can talk about how all the Ukrainian politicians from every quarter and their dogs are corrupt, that’s one thing, but a foreign nation like Russia invading the squabbling nation is quite another.
Will America heed the wake-up call of Ukraine?

  5. Oh please cut the neo nazi crap. A handful of Bandera assholes are of no consequence in Ukrainian independence movement. Yes that is right independence, it is all about being independent from Russia. If Russians are so concerned about fascists then perhaps they could start at home and take care of their NASHI movement?

  6. No st!t shurlock, there were Russian troops there 1 year ago, and 6 months ago, 5 1/2 days before the protests started, so what was that point you were trying to make. The Russkies have added a few more, they have a military base there.

  7. Elementary dear retarded Watson: they are outside their bases, armed on sovereign Ukrainian soils, surrounding and intimidating Ukrainian troops.

  8. If someone can fill me in on this: can Russia invade Poland if it should find Russian-speakers there, real or imagined neo-Nazis or not?
The man on the ground probably has more skin on the ground than any “journalist”, no matter how entrenched they are.

  9. The Nazi connection of current ruling clique in Ukraine are usually downplayed, but this supposed “handful of assholes” managed to get Bandera a Hero of Ukraine. Sure, it was later rescinded as power alliances shifted, but that handful seems to wield an influence significant enough to accomplish things.

  10. Compared to Putinjugend aka NASHI they are pikers. Given that today Stalin ranks among the greatest russians in history according popular surveys any outrage about neo nazis in Ukraine is manufactured and repeated by Kremlin’s useful idiots.

  11. “can Russia invade Poland if it should find Russian-speakers there”. Well, this is why all the former Soviet states in the Baltic region, as well as Poland, Hungary, Slovakia, and Romania ae quite concerned.
    What Oz and Colonialista said.
Even if true about the undue influence of some radical right, the ex KGB thugs have no right to invade. People that have suffered greatly from some evil political entity sometimes turn to an opposite just as evil.

  12. “A handful of Bandera assholes are of no consequence in Ukrainian independence movement.” Colonialists
Yes with the help of the EU/UN and US State, but which one put the snipers up that killed both sides? The Victor (Putin) will get to hang the guilty.
Putin will throw out the pretenders and ALL of Ukraine will have an Election BY THE PEOPLE without interference by the EU or the CIA imbedded in MSM.
The EU is ripe for thier own dictator. Germany just needs to blow hard & the world will have another Hitler.
Obama inviting the Pretender to the WH is childish. Everyone in America knows the corrupt involvement of Obama State Dept. He is a sick joke

  13. Kiddo apart for the fact that Hussein Ogabe al-Chicago is an idiot you haven’t said anything remotely sane in your above post. Neither EUnuchs nor Ogabe played any meaningful role in Ukraine. Trusting Putin to guard the democratic election in Ukraine is like letting a fox guard a henhouse. In any case, where can I get the shit you’re smoking?

  14. “Putin will throw out the pretenders and ALL of Ukraine will have an Election BY THE PEOPLE”
Putin has ruled Russia since he was appointed by Yeltsin in 1998.
First appointed to head the FSB(KGB) then appointed General Secretary of the Russian Federation, then appointed 1of3 Deputy Prime Ministers and later the same day appointed acting Prime Minister of the Government of the Russian Federation by President Boris Yeltsin. Yeltsin also announced that he wanted to see Putin as his successor. Still later on that same day, Putin agreed to run for the presidency.
Vladimir Putin has ruled Russia ever since.
That’s 15 years and you, Slap Shot, style Putin the guardian of democracy? Crazy!
Putin is a thug and a dictator. He kills his political enemies, whether they are opposition political candidates or journalists, if they pose any kind of a credible threat to his power or image then it’s ‘goodbye cruel world’ for them.
How would you like to drink some polonium-210, eh?

  15. One more time with feeling:
Acting President of Ukraine Oleksander Turchynov is a Baptist of ethnic Russian origin.
Prime Minister Arseniy Yatsenyuk is a classic liberal conservative of partial Jewish ancestry.
All members of the interim government are banned from using private jets or flying first class anywhere (hello Premier Redford). Yatsenyuk flew economy to Brussels last week and will fly economy on his visit to the U.S. this week.
Three out of eighteen cabinet ministers are members of Svoboda. One is a member of Right Sector.
Three Jewish oligarchs have been appointed governors of Dnipropetrovsk, Luhansk and Donetsk, respectively.
A minority of Party of Regions MPs voted to impeach Yanukovych, their leader, and approve the interim government. The Communist Party of Ukraine is not crying out for Putin’s help.
Among the dead heroes of February 20 was an anarchist citizen of Russia and a Ukrainian Jewish Red Army veteran of Afghanistan.
open sarc> And this IDF veteran was obviously delusional./sarc
Finally, dual nationality is illegal for citizens of Ukraine.

Oh? How exactly do you realistically enforce such a law?
