I think the NDP hard core supporters are a little extra bitter they just got kicked out of office.
More proof the Washington Redskins should change their name to the Washington Wagonburners.
And the First Nations National Chief wants the RCMP to abide by the treaty that the Indians have just violated? Hypocrite.

I really don’t feel sorry for the RCMP and I quite frankly think they deserve to look stupid after their High River gun grab.
Ultimately though I feel anger at both sides and the whole thing is a wash as the money is leaving my wallet as the government buys new police cruisers and heavily federally subsidized natives cycle without any real consequence through our court system.

Ezra Levant and the host were speculating on SunNews a few minutes ago that the Sierra Club and possibly other environmental activist “charities” are funding this. No doubt there is something behind this thought.
All these so-called charities should have their tax exemptions lifted. Furthermore, these terrorists should be convicted of terrorism and receive appropriate sentences. We are paying for their upkeep anyhow, and it might as well be in jail.
I’s sick of the hypocrisy of some of the native leadership. No, the treaty process is not perfect, far from it; but it is part of the process/policy that provides $millions to native bands, so far without realistic accounting or leadership oversight.
Then some decide the treaty process, or one small part of it, is not acceptable then act unilaterally and illegally, cause violence and property damage (my God, burning RCMP vehicles?), then blame others. It’s like going to a buffet restaurant and demanding refunds for food not eaten. These idiots crossed the line big time, have hurt the aboriginal movement, and apparently hitched their star to the radical environmental movement (aka watermelons), particularly the anti-fracking junk science idiots. The inevitable end result is confrontation and violence, exemplified by people screaming profanely to RCMP that there are children present; enough of them taking us for idiots.
For the sake of Canada, our taxpayers, and the native movement in general, these renegades need to dealt with harshly, particularly their chief.

First of all, New Brunswick is the “company town” to end all company towns. Corporate welfare is de riguer, accompanied by the country’s lowest corporate tax rates and peanuts for royalties, Crown land trees, etc. The Liberal Party even tried to sell NB Power at a discount to Quebec(after securing preferred rates for “certain” industries).
Whether you agree with fracking or not, regular New Brunswickers are well versed in the fleecing that accompanies any venture where business and government are in lockstep.
The fun part is that the court injunction is 2 weeks old and it wasn’t until the large one industry owned media(all the media that matters is owned by the same company) published editorials simultaneously decrying the lack of legal enforcement; and professing to be shocked, shocked I tell you(hello Caledonia), that there may be different laws for gun toting aboriginals.
Regardless of my views on fracking or breaking the law; just the fact that someone, anyone is giving the avaricious and duplicitus government and business corptocracy in NB a run for their ill gotten gains is just fun to watch.
Kinda like watching the Conservatives rediscover taxpayers as an election approaches. Kabuki theatre. Shame on all us Canadians for being so easy. Shame on all us Conservatives for allowing Stephen Harper to keep his word. He HAS governed just like HE SAID he would, just like the Liberal Party.
Er, Kuzo – Has it not occurred to you that New Brunswick may have lower unemployment and a smaller per capita welfare bill than neighbouring PEI because it wants to encourage business investment? BC found out under the NDP what happens to your economy when government regulations and taxes strangle industry. New Brunswick is still a seriously “have not” province but give them credit for trying to dig out of the hole.
Provide all the oilfield crew people with AR-15s and a few hundred rounds of ammo. Problem solved.

RCMP displayed a table full of guns, homemade explosives, knives and bear spray at a news conference in Fredericton.
“Peaceful protests don’t require a large police presence,” RCMP Commanding Officer Roger Brown told media Friday. “When you get into a protest that has this type of criminal behaviour and criminal element, it requires a much different police response.”
He said police only made arrests after six cruisers were set on fire

It would be rather interesting to see who is paying the natives. They are not doing it out of nothingness. They or most of them don’t know what it is they are protesting.
