Prior to After Kerry’s “unbelievably small” comment and one-week ultimatim (which is, well, unbelievable). We see this:
Syria welcomes a Russian proposal to place the nation’s chemical weapons under international control, Syrian Foreign Minister Walid al-Moualem said on Monday after talks in Moscow, praising the Kremlin for seeking to “prevent American aggression”.
The Russians, showing the world what tools Obama and the US regime are.
Update: Nevermind, it was rhetorical, we still want to go to war!

And the water takes another turn around the toilet bowl.
And the winner of the 2014 Nobel Peace Prize is……
I have the uneasy feeling that a Seal team is going to soap Assad’s windows, TP his trees, and unscrew the top of his sugar dispenser.
Betty White and her “Off Their Rockers” combat team will be called up to prank Assad.
Once again, Putin outmanoeuvers the amateur.
Put that in your speech tomorrow, loser.
The US has become a banana republic, the whole world knows it but no one wants to say it, well except Russia it seems.
It’s the worlds politically incorrect 1000lb gorilla in the room, with far too much invested in the fraud.
This whole escapade was surely scripted by Monty Python writers….all that’s needed are a few funny-walks clips and we have enough material for a new series.
Black knight to h4, checkmate.
If it takes a Carter to get a Reagan the USA is due for one heckuva leader in 2016 after Obumbler is gone.
@Al_in_Ottawa: Come on down Sarah Palin!!
Al_in_Ottawa….not really.Wait until these strikes fail, and the Chimp-in-Chief declares martial law,and suspends the Constituion.Oh wait.(I really hope I don’t have to come back and say I told you so)
Of more importance to public awakening to the Washington/Chicago/Wall St. criminal cabal is not that this particular regime is inept and posers, bur exactly WHY they are so adamant to use the Syrian false flag attack to expand the MR conflict into a global conflict – who is pulling the puppets strings and why. Kerry, Obambam, McCain etc, are just face men for larger interests – these interests who have exercised undue influence on the Washington regimes of the past 3 decades are the thing that needs exposure and expulsion from the federal system – util that happens, we will see the same unelected sociopathic cabal owning the town old line parties running US foreign/domestic/econmic policy instead of the people.

This is true, but it JC was running for re-election and Obama gets to walk away. The question is will that make the elction be like 2008 when many Americans had decided the Bush years had not been good years, hard to see a Republican elected then.
So while history doesnt repeat itself it definitely rhymes.
Who the Reagan like figure will be. Good question, if there is one. Reagan worked for years in the trenches and had a loyal network and tons of ideological money and organizational muscle behind him. It wasnt just him but a whole group of people associated with him. For the Palin fans….she is a charismatic figure, not sure what team she brings her, time will tell. Rand Paul may have more of a network oif ideological travellers he can call on.
The favourite was GHW Bush, and there were some other figures.
But the point is essentially it will be someone who is able to recapture the spirit of optimism and destiny, and appear like they have a plan….even if it is ridiculed like Reagans was.
Reagan while polarizing to some had an ability to disarm opponents and unlike BO he knew what congress did and didnt do.
Most importantly Reagan knew why he was there, as I believe GHW Bush did as well. I think they were serious men who knew what the job needed and meant. Not sure BO knows. Although after 8 years of training he might actually have some sense of it.
Not sure if Palin will run, Paul is, Christie is, Rubio maybe.
I had written off Jeb Bush solely because of the name. But maybe after a debacle like this the American People might flock to a known quantity. (thats analysis not advocacy by the way)
Long time to go.
After this Americans might actual vote for Vlad Putin. Lots to admire in how he has been schooling The Amatuer.
After the Benghazi cover-up and the Candy Crowley debate, I cannot believe the Administration and the MSM, even though they might be right this time.
Al;
That is why citizens have the right to bear arms in the USA. To stop any wannabe dictator in his tracks.
AHM SMAAHT!!! Barry “Fredo” Hussein Obumbler
And in one stroke credibility in the region and international leadership over middle east issues passes to Russia! My comments from yesterday about reaching out to Russia are fully vindicated. More to come no doubt.
As for Kerry’s “unbelievably small” comment, no, I could fully imagine how puny the strike will be — even smaller than slick Willie’s attack that killed the camel and blew up an aspirin factory (and just happened to be the same day Monica Lewinsky was being deposed). I expect Putin and Assad right now are having targets painted in the sand somewhere out in the middle of the Syrian desert, with an open invitation for Obambam to launch a couple of cruises at them after which they’ll give him a pat on the head and an ice cream cone, tell him what a brave lad he is and then give him some change to ride the roller coaster at Martha’s Vineyard. The US can survive Barak Obama; it cannot survive a population which believes Obama makes a good president.
As yes the rhetorical one week deadline; soon to be followed up with a rhetorical date and time of attack at a rhetorical target.
There was a time when Congress would have backed the President on this type of military attack. Not now, bipartisanship is dead; it’s both parties’ fault – they’ve been at each others’ throats since the Clinton era, back and forth. The GOP lite set aren’t going to save this one for Obama. I don’t think the rank and file Dems have their heart in this one anyway.
The blame game is now SOP, where every presidential failure or misstep is somebody, anybody, else’s fault, where memes like motherhood statements about stopping terrorism become definitional rather than speaking tours blaming an obscure video; where Susan Rice has any credibility whatsoever (none), where Kerry or Biden, or even McCain, have any wisdom or leverage to bring into the congressional debate (never did).
It seems like the GOPs in the House of Representatives would like nothing better than reject Obama on this vote, and if so have picked a pretty good issue with widespread American rejection of attacking Syria. Maybe it spells an end to the mindless argument that one must back the President for the sake of patriotism and anti-racism, regardless of yours, or your constituents’ views
Except that almost immediately the Japanese invaded with lots of boots Malaya (British), the Philippines (US colony) and Hong Kong (where many Canadian boots on the ground were lost).

Justthinkin, I don’t see how a failure in Syria could be used to declare martial law in the USA. I’m not saying that Obama and company are above doing such a thing, I’m saying it would be very hard selling such a flimsy pretext. On the other hand Hitler was granted ‘temporary’ emergency powers because someone allegedly burnt a building.
Al_in_Ottawa >
“I don’t see how a failure in Syria could be used to declare martial law in the USA.”
Think about decades of open borders + mass Islamic immigration + Terror Threat levels + fear mongering state propaganda + suitcase bombs + “dirty” bombs + “Homegrown” Terrorism = Martial Law.
If you leave your country wide open to the world then bomb their homelands, you have a great recipe to create a militarized police state when they get upset and cause trouble in your backyard.
Don’t think it’s not happening?
Then it’s time to roll down your window and check out the geography.
No matter how one looks at it , we are meddling in a civil war where both sides hate us. How anything good can come out of that is beyond comprehension. If Assad falls the people that hate us the most will be in charge of the chemical weapons. There’s no way to win here but at least a dozen ways to lose. When Putin starts to look good and more reasonable than Obama, it’s time to send the Potus on a extended vacation to minimize the damage his ego is creating. His vacations and golf are the only two things that aren’t destroying the USA. Just keep him away from the White house.
Having two Canadian goddaughters, I occasionally read the online Canadian papers. One time there
was an article by a disgruntled guy who wrote for the Ottawa Citizen, bemoaning the fact that
Canada had to share a border with the United States. He had a litany of complaints, real and
imagined. I wrote a letter to the editor, saying that if he was unhappy sharing a border with the
US he should try sharing one with Mexico. My letter was printed but I was unable to see it as
I had to be subscribed in order to see it.
After all these years, that guy might be right after all. We’re drifting into anarchy, our borders
are porous, politicians stoke ethnic strife, our cities are totally broke…on and on. If this
continues, its bound to spill off into Canada. I hope we can get back on track but it will take
a media that will support anyone who has courage and not someone who it thinks is politically
correct. At this time, I’m not too confident. Everyone wants to feed at the trough and the hell
with what happens to the country.
Warts and all I still wouldn’t trade the USA for any other neighbor. At least 50% are still sane and the political correctness destroying your country has infected ours in the same manner with roughly the same percentage of the population. When the USA crashes we will go down with you as we are joined at the hip with trade, not to mention the USA owns almost anything of value in this country. It’s not just the USA, but North America as well as Europe in general is circling the bowl. When the big flush finally comes we will be about 6 months behind you. The only advantage we have at this time is a leader who is focused on the economy and not hell bent on dumping capitalism for socialism like Obama. The leftist hordes in this country still see Obama as a competent leader with polls showing 60% being happy he was elected to a second term. That should tell you how much trouble we’re in too.
Putin and “I Won”… music please:
Strangers in the night, exchanging glances
Wondering in the night what were the chances
We’d be making love, before the fight was due …..
