  1. I think giving them food stamps and free cell phones will solve all the problems.
When is it going to dawn on some people that there is a real problem that needs real fixin? Most of the murders are black killing black. At some point people have to say, Let’s put some fiber back in society.
The self-victimization and glorification of violence isn’t making things better. Where are the community leaders? I guess they are too busy bitching how Whitie caused it all instead of getting off their asses and doing something about it.
Trayvon would be alive today if his daddy stayed with his money and he got a tune up every time he acted up or blamed others for misfortune he created.

  2. to paraphrase Thomas Sowell: Every generation is attacked from within by a new generation of barbarians. If they do not raise them to be civilized, then the civilization is doomed. This is why government as daddy will always fail.

  3. Well, if you’re looking for intelligence or compassion in the mug-books of a nation, the blank, stupid, surly expressions are the same regardless of skin or eye colour.

  4. A Southern Politician, LBJ, wanted to curry the favour accorded to his revered and martyred predecessor. He listened to the cry of the Limousine liberals of the 1960’s.
Ignoring his own scramble from poverty experience; his own recognized awareness of human frailties; his knowledge of the Black communities’ steady and slow climb from slavery and segregation for over three hundred years; LBJ listened and he tried to change human nature with a new set of rules.
I was an ignorant member of the following generation, who lived in another nation, but more aware of the realities of the continuing oppression, than many if not most of my foreign generation at that time.
I was also young and ignorant of human nature and thought a “leg up” was a good idea. However early awareness of the damage being being done to the sustainability of the Black family became stifled by the assassination of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Racial guilt was expanded and exploited.
A wealthy superpower country could afford to spoil two or more generations of a selected group in society. The result is a culture every bit as isolated from reality as was the effect of 300 years of slavery and segregation.
Hopefully the necessary change for the selected group will not create as much tragedy as the elimination of slavery did. Only a sincere leader with political skill equal to Lincoln will be able to mitigate the tragedy of the upcoming change. Mike Sr.

  5. And where is that Leader to come from? We aren’t even allowed to mention facts about race let alone start to find a solution.
Might as well pray for divine intervention, it’s just as likely as any solutions coming from the political classes.

  6. As Walter Williams has pointed out, the black family survived 150 years of the hardships of slavery, Jim Crow and segregation but couldn’t survive the “Great Society”. Welfare is the state expropriation of the soul. Canadians can’t look down their noses at the US without exposing a blind spot for our own Indian Reserves which are an equally destructive policy combination of segregation, racialism, communalism and welfare.
Obama is a nasty product of these policy failures (affirmative action) not the cause. The blame can be shared by all who prefer statist welfare policies to productive work, even at skill levels and wage rates resulting in occasional sweat shops (still a better alternative to destructive idleness). Charity, the only moral form of wealth redistribution,is a gift rather than an entitlement, from those exercising free will to those who truly need it.

  7. “Might as well pray for divine intervention, it’s just as likely as any solutions coming from the political classes.” This sums it up well, as does C_Miner’s Thomas Sowell paraphrased statement.
As well, solutions for the Canadian native issues will not see any solutions coming from our political class as it will attack anyone who attempts to fix it, and it will fester to a climax at some point.

  8. This problem was a long time in the making. Obama et al now make use of it.
If there was any hope of redemption or restoration, put these thugs on the front lines in Syria. At least their deaths will have some meaning, not their pointless, violent lives.
That or immediate execution. They are too dangerous to be let out.

  9. Obama, the “Affirmative Action” President. No small wonder that he leans or I should say, runs in the direction of forced entitlements and a refusal to confront the truth. As I read days ago, “Suppose, just suppose that he is an “Islamist Trojan Horse”…what would he do differently than what he is doing?” The sooner he’s gone from his position, the better!!

  10. Lincoln a skillful politician?
    …by what determinant?
    …..any damn fool can start a war…..
    Oh wait……

  11. Grey Lady thank you for commenting. I arrived at my understanding of Abraham Lincoln’s intuition; courage; political savvy after reading seven volumes of his writing. The recent movie on him tried to convey his character, but that is always difficult unless you are able to “get into the Director’s knowledge of the situation he is portraying.
I find the situation writings of events by the individual provide awareness which makes me comfortable in my understanding. I will then present my position until a logical reason for changing my understanding is presented.
Lincoln was an extraordinary individual. An autodidact in a time of illiteracy for black and white Americans; a person not motivated by status and was a successful professional in developing one of the largest law practices of his time.
If World War One had been fought to it’s proper conclusion there is a more than reasonable understanding the nation of Germany would not have felt justified in commencing World War Two. Lincoln was aware the total capitulation of the Confederacy was the only solution to ending the Civil War and American Slavery.
As a leader with a less than majority mandate with a war declared before he even took office his political acumen is unimpeachable, even though this was attempted by people with the most dangerous agendas.
    No Grey Lady, if my understanding of Lincoln’s contribution to the world riles someone, I am quite comfortable. Cheers;

  12. “Evil”?
    Nah, just animals.
Animals do what they do, it’s the owners and gatekeepers that need to be held accountable now.

    Abraham Lincoln:
“I will say then that I am not, nor ever have been in favor of bringing about in anyway the social and political equality of the white and black races – that I am not nor ever have been in favor of making voters or jurors of negroes, nor of qualifying them to hold office, nor to intermarry with white people; and I will say in addition to this that there is a physical difference between the white and black races which I believe will forever forbid the two races living together on terms of social and political equality. And inasmuch as they cannot so live, while they do remain together there must be the position of superior and inferior, and I as much as any other man am in favor of having the superior position assigned to the white race. I say upon this occasion I do not perceive that because the white man is to have the superior position the negro should be denied everything.”
    Abraham Lincoln
    (1809-1865) 16th US President
Fourth Debate with Stephen A. Douglas at Charleston, Illinois, September 18, 1858

  14. BTW, anyone know what the statistical racial makeup for murderers in Canada is?
Canada won’t officially list crime by race like the US, so I guess we are to assume that the racial makeup must be equally divided by population demographics simply because Canada is so giving to the black people or something akin?
It’s the whites committing the majority of murders in Toronto, Vancouver, and other major metropolitan centers, yes?

  15. The leftists manage this problem at everybodies else expense.. Black youth oozing with attitude and bravado over insults they have never had to endure.. Wanting to murder for fun and sport because they have found somebody who’s skin colour fits the running meme..
With our politically correct cowards more worried about their indexed pensions than a society that allows lynching on its streets.. Oh no I’m a racist! I will never make Sergeant or get elected or get my own news column.. So they all kiss the ring and find some other role to play..
All the worlds a stage with our society not worth the price of admission.. Playing your adlib role in the open air theatre we like to call liberal democracy.. With the MSM far more interested in its directors chair than mere news reporting..
This is your life trapped in the leftist computer model they like to call social justice.. There is no way out.. Best you can hope for is some other white idiot gets taken out while you slip through or away.. Sweet justice as long as you dont lose the script or forget your running shoes..

  16. It’s the whites committing the majority of murders in Toronto, Vancouver, and other major metropolitan centers, yes?
    You gotta be kidding!!

  17. If Trayvon was President, the whole USA would end up like Detroit city and whites would be hanging from trees.

  18. That would be all them ‘woods’ moving here from Jamaica and other crap holes that end in ‘a’…Somalia, Kenya, Rwanda, Nigeria, Angola, Ghana, …got the picture?
    {Insert great big smilie here!}

  19. He is.
Although 99.9 percent of the crimes in this Country are committed by either white persons,or people who know white people or who have done business with white people or who have seen white people on the streets.
That is why there is NO crime on Indian Reservations, because no white men are allowed!

  20. Good old FBI Table 43 tells the tale. About half of the murders and 55% of robberies in the US are committed by blacks. Since about 90% of murders and robberies are committed by men of either race, about 90% of the black proportion of these crimes is done by black males. This suggests that an astounding 45% of the murderers and robbers in this country come from a group, black males, that is less than 7% of our population (blacks are about 12.9% and black men ~6.45%). No lefty will go near these numbers, and even the FBI kind of hides Table 43 on their website:
    http://www.fbi.gov/about-us/cjis/ucr/crime-in-the-u.s/2010/crime-in-the-u.s.-2010/tables/table-43

  21. Wrong faces of evil. These are just the common dirtbags you find everywhere. These are the small time rats who used to be afraid to come out in the daylight.
Show me pictures of the evil ones who disarmed us all and let these vermin run free. That’s what I want to see.
Ever notice how you never see that?

  22. The Phantom >
“Show me pictures of the evil ones who disarmed us all and let these vermin run free.”
    Bingo!

  23. “…the evil ones who disarmed us…”
Well Phantom, I don’t have their pictures, but it’s time for a bit of schadenfreude. You see, the ‘evil ones’ are those goody-goody Liberal and NDP geniuses who voted for gun control instead of criminal control. The very same progressives who derided us as bigots because we wanted more scrtiny of our refugee and immigrant systems. And now they reap their profits: their once fine cities turning into cesspools.
Bring it on I say. I wish I could buy a couple of blocks of Rockliffe Park, Westmont and Bridle Path…just so I could rent the homes out to human garbage to give our Ivory Tower Hypocrites a tasre of living cheek to jowl with rabid dogs.

  24. Obamanation is all about dependent servility where Kennedy was about populist democracy and independent freedom – Obama has axx-kissed by the power elite carrying forward their agenda where Kennedy POed the power elites carrying a populist agenda.
No other comparison demonstrates how the DNC and American liberalism is dead = replaced by corporate cronyism and authoritarian statism

  25. It de gunz whats causin dis hea evil – evil gunz made by rich crakers – not the fault of the victimized progeny of the welfare state’s perennially dependent underclass – a culture totally dependent – dependent on state support, dependent on drugs and dependent on a savage xenophobic tribalism – MLK would be so proud of how the welfare state has perverted the culture of his people.

  26. They say beauty is only skin deep, but ugly goes clear to the bone. Dang, that woman(?) is ugly with a capital UGH!

  27. Knight99; thank you for your comment. I able to verify the Lincoln quotation you listed from my personal readings. This is an accurate quotation from a newspaper and close enough to what he said there is no written record of Lincoln refuting the article, as he was prone to do when his words were distorted.
Unfortunately the words he spoke at the time of the Douglas debates were an accurate representation of the African ancestral slaves of the period. The adult slaves and their offspring were raised to understand their existence was that of an animal worker who could follow a spoken direction within a limited communication range.
Lincoln, as well as most of the electorate at that time, understood this. Lincoln could not and would not gloss this over as is happening today in today’s inadequate Politico world.
There were several articulate and African ancestral individuals, such as Frederick Douglas, who were provided an education and continued to self educate (autodidact) as did Lincoln. Possibly you could read some of his writings, particularly about his life long regret at not joining John Brown at “Harper’s Ferry”.
I do recommend however, W.E.B. Du Bois “The Soul of Black Folk” which will help your understanding of Abraham Lincoln’s political acumen. Du Bois was born as a Black man at the end of the Civil War and is one of the gentlest and articulate writers you will encounter, at least this is my opinion.
    I have found your comments @ S.D.A. interesting over the years and hope this reply will be of benefit; Cheers;

  28. MikeSr >
    Great reply Mike!
My comments are generally tongue-in-cheek, if not outright sarcastic most of the time. They are interpreted wrongly some of the time, politically incorrect most of the time, but no harm or foul intended for the mentally secure. Simply another conservative/ libertarian minded point of view.
I agree whole heartedly with your assessment of Abe Lincoln and the times that he lived. The point I try to drive home when bringing up Abe’s “racist” past is to point out the open hypocrisy of the left by making Abe “their president” and Barak Obamba’s incessant portrayal of himself as a kindred soul, or a second coming of Abe Lincoln.
This is either a whitewashing of American history, or a vague metaphor of things to come with Obamba’s presidency. Quite probably a little of both.
Either way, there is a grand deceit occurring here subverting historical knowledge for the benefit of people not interested in the truth.

  29. Heh-heh, Du Bois indeed. He is part of the problem if not its very root. Booker T. Washington wrote on the subject as well. His perceptions are not biased or entitlement seeking. He was born a slave and not a liberal elitist passing for white Haaaaaaarvaaaaard educated sociology major.
Du Bois started the NAACP which today stands as the most recognizable bastion of institutional racism in the United States. Not gentle, genteel, and progressive as hell.

  30. It is important to recognize that Republicans in the pre-war period were constantly having to defend themselves from accusations by Democrats that Republicans wanted black men to marry white women, and similar attempts to whip up racial hatred among poor whites. Republicans often went out of their way to reject some claims by statements such as the quote above.
In addition, the notion of white racial superiority had become quite powerful in this period, through a combination of pre-Darwinian evolutionary ideas attempting to justify imperialism, slavery, and the Mexican War. See Reginald Horsman’s Race and Manifest Destiny and William Stanton’s The Leopard’s Spot: Scientific Attitudes Towards Race in America, 1815-59 (1966) for the background of how and why these racial attitudes developed during the 19th century.
