Well, it provides amusement for us Canadians. My wife was recently visited by her American niece, whom we twitted about her lack of knowledge about history. She almost got the dates of the Civil War correct, but it was downhill from there. As for current affairs, she was quite ignorant of the fact that 1/3 of the USAF are currently not operational, thanks to the Foulness; but she assured us that Hillary Clinton is a wonderful person.
We laughed, with a shudder.
When the upcoming economic crash hits, those depending on their ‘common core’ education and understandings will be dead within three weeks.

Radosh excoriates her for her conspiracy approach to WW2 and Cold War history.
It would be fascinating to get Radosh’s opinion on whether or not the rotten education is by design and maybe while he was at it whether or not the Dems are conspiring to construct a permanent majority with their wide open borders policy. Or whether these are just unhappy unintended consequences.

As time passes the Elite begin to think of themselves as superior to the “peasants”.
They forget the Middle class is the first defence of their wealth & privilege.
Because they to can attain higher status. Than the institutions that allow a meritocracy become ever more incestuous by intermarriage, or tradition. Family connections, nepotism begins its chipping away at any societies organs
Than the aristocratic class becomes insular, exuding airs of ascendancy over the commons.
That reaction begins a chain of resentment of anyone else attaining their top billing.
Attitudes flourish that those whom they rule, or have wealth over are inferior in mind . Lower in talent. It eliminates any competition by those more effective.
With Laws along with regulations to stop any social mobility.
In stages the Upper class begins to think they are above the Law, than decadence ensues. Morals become what they deem is right or wrong, while sniggering at the lower classes.
Debauchery than is seen as normal.
To justify this rot this coven than seeks to infect those under them as normal behaviours.
Jobs become hereditary. Innovation seen as a curse. Statism as the norm.
To enforce this tyranny is employed.
The military filled with none citizens. Right of individuals debased for more control. Soon any luxury is seen as only their abode.
It soon dawns on the culture that is abused this way, that its is more harmful than the always waiting barbarians at the door.
In the end they like the Romans of patrician class are left standing on the city’s walls as the people employed as servants, loot the civilization that gave them all they had.
In trying to be gods, they end up worm food eventually.

A friend of mine is a history professor in the US. She describes her job partly as “entertaining” the students. They have been deliberately deprived since childhood of the richness and great meaning of American history. It’s frustrating.
