You left out, among the hardest hit groups, the trollops who style themselves the women of Toronto and Montreal society, who will now find it that bit harder to find brown women who will cheerfully clean their toilets, change the nappies of sahib’s designer pups and be content to live in one room with four other women—never mind brown men willing to mow the lawn and do the job of an absent, indifferent or impotent husband for him.
    Clearly Mr. Kenney has not been notified on their behalf that only fools and poor people do their own housework or raise their own children, and they certainly did not marry rich men for the privilege of washing the old buggers’ drawers.

  9. I am all in favour of accepting refugees, but we should be picky about those we accept. We need to concentrate on those whose values are comparable to ours, and who have been persecuted in their countries of origin because of it.
    I don’t want muslims from the Philippines who have been arrested for being too militantly muslim, but I’d be happy to have Copts from Egypt who have been persecuted for being Christian. Or small business owners from Venezuela who have been persecuted for being capitalists.

    “Immigration Minister Jason Kenney blames the slowdown on the closure of their processing office in Syria and promises to do better this year.”
    So he means to get back to normal in letting high numbers of those so-called Muslim refugees. bahhh!!

    By doing better this year I hope that he means reduce the refugee influx to zero, and then aim for repatriation of the ones that we already have.

Getting what’s been owed them for a very long time is more like it. Everyone knows that the only people who mourned the death of Nicolae Ceausescu were the Romanian gypsies.

  23. Two thoughts: Harper should step aside and let Kenney take over. If he can do this with immigration, the deficit would be a walk in the park. Two, I’m worried about the impact on the food bank industry and it’s employment growth.

  26. True refugees are welcome in my world. It’s the phony ones that need to be culled from the herd. I believe Kenney is starting to do that. Having a friend that works for the Feds in immigration, she can attest to the fact that the system used to be total bull$hit. Since the Harper government took power, things are looking much better. No panacea but slowly improving.
