Rallying the SDA troops!

You know who you are.

I sent my letter to the CRTC today, asking that Sun News be given equal treatment in broadcasting. First time I have written a letter in years but I was very motivated. Every letter the CRTC receive carries the weight of hundreds of emails, so if you haven’t yet done so, please do. You can bet the left and it’s fellow travellers in media will be sending thousands of emails but I’d like to think we can beat them at what used to be their game. Sun News needs this application to go through and they need our help to do it. If they manage to kill the Sun we will never see another like it.

If you don’t want to go back to the days of CTV and CBC being the only available Canadian news channels, here’s what you need to do.

In The Mail from America

Robert, we’ve been Facebook friends for a few years now. As you live in Canada, I wanted to ask you a few things. My son and his wife are very seriously thinking about leaving the U.S. and moving to Canada. I would appreciate it very much if you could tell me what it’s like to live there? Especially for someone leaving the U.S.? Would it be very difficult to assimilate? Are there very many Americans that have moved there? And if so, how are they accepted by Canadians? What is the job market like there? My son has a college degree in accounting and computer information systems. His wife has worked for a bankruptcy law firm. I would appreciate any information you could give me that I could pass on to my son. Thank you in advance.

It’s Probably Nothing

Surprising absolutely no one who can add:

“CBO’s baseline confirms that the nation, despite claims to the contrary, remains on a damaging debt pathway.” They observe that debt will remain over 90 percent of gross domestic product for the period 2013-2023, resulting in a drag on growth equal to 1 percent per year. That translates into a total loss of 11 million jobs for that period. Moreover, by 2023 Medicare, Medicaid and Social Security will comprise about 64 percent of the budget, “crowding out other federal priorities.”

Okay, maybe surprising Democratic voters….

The Tolerant Left

JWF: Leftwing Domestic Terrorist Pleads Guilty in Family Research Council Shooting

Family Research Council President Tony Perkins said that the Southern Poverty Law Center should take responsibility for the shooting and take down their hate map.
“The day after Floyd Corkins came into the FRC headquarter and opened fire wounding one of our team members, I stated that while Corkins was responsible for the shooting, he had been given a license to perpetrate this act of violence by groups like the Southern Poverty Law Center which has systematically and recklessly labeled every organization with which they disagree as a ‘hate group,'” he said.

Those Moderate Muslims!

Michael Totten;

Free speech is under attack in the West, and it’s under attack from abroad. For years radical Islamists have targeted embassies abroad and individuals at home for “insulting” the Prophet Muhammad. And now diplomats and heads of state from Islamist countries are using international oganizations to pressure the West to criminalize blasphemy and are even lobbying for a global censorship regime.

Reader Tips

Most schmaltzy, feel-good movies have happy endings so carefully and formulaically constructed that even a po-faced, tone-deaf viewer who missed the first hour will experience the correct emotions right on cue — all it really takes is the right music, and some Big-Ending Faces.
