That means the number of instruments monitoring Earth’s activity is expected to decline from a peak of about 110 last year to fewer than 30 by the end of the decade.

Who would have ever thought the Ruling Class would resort to ‘taking away our thermometers’ in order to further their agenda !?

I’d be more impressed with the people at NASA if they’d each learn to play a musical instrument,so they could “busk” outside liquor stores.

it’s only the thermometers and weather stations giving accurate readings that are disappearing…the ones that have been corrupted by encroaching man-made ‘heat islands’ like asphalt, heating ducts and even BBQ’s are being used to provide the ‘proof’ of gorebull warming…much like the sensor that shows C02 levels increasing…the one on the lip of a Hawaiian volcano………….
and then they use the ‘data’ to force gov’t departments to buy ‘green’ vehicles that are useless for their intended purpose…much like the Canadian Forces were forced to buy propane vehicles for northern Alberta…vehicles that wouldn’t work after being parked outside at -40 since it was illegal to park them inside…

Florida’s Miami-Dade County spent $4 million buying approximately 300 vehicles between 2006 and 2007 and then “abandoned” them in a county parking garage, according to a local investigative report.
Most of the forgotten fleet were “clean” energy Toyota Priuses.
The 293 “rusty” vehicles were discovered last October by the News America newscast Channel 41 in Miami. The station spent the next eight months investigating what they found.
“Once officials in Miami-Dade County discovered the station’s investigation, they rushed to put as many vehicles as possible into the active fleet. Since the end of last year, between 123 and 135 Priuses have entered county service,” Autominded reports.
But here’s the kicker: “Toyota introduced the third-generation of the Prius in 2009, so by the time these second-gen cars were hitting the Miami streets, even Toyota had moved on.”
Yeah…..like GISS (NASA) director James Hansen continuing to declare the oceans are warming and sea levels are rising when tidal guages indicate sea level has recently declined not risen….and NASA’s ARGOS system of drifting floats, monitoring ocean conditions, surface to a mile down, has detected no warming but a now definitive cooling.

From 1940 to 2000 the average elevation of thermometers dropped 46 meters which would increase temperatures.

So their funding is going up, but their hard data collecting is going down? Sounds like all the cash is going in the pockets of theoreticians and computer modelers, not actual science.
The reason so many temperature monitoring sites are being shut down is because most are totally useless , and this is what the warmists were basing their empirical data on.

The “cult” needed the mercury in those thermometers to put in the twisty light bulbs. Kill people, save the ice worms!

Got my own home weather station, love it. Some talented graphics designer needs to design a sticker to label all the greenies with something that ties all this lunacy together. May i suggest something that includes a rainbow unicorn jumping over a blazing yellow sun with a green (forest green) swastika emblazoned with the words green agenda on it. Because normal people have friggin had it with this and they need to be labeled.
