Best Canadian Blog
2004 - 2007
Why this blog?
Until this moment I have been forced to listen while media and politicians alike have told me "what Canadians think". In all that time they never once asked.
This is just the voice of an ordinary Canadian yelling back at the radio -
"You don't speak for me."

Would you believe the Russian judge gave her a 6.0!
Finally we can combine summer and winter olympics — the ice dance competition with the synchronised diving.
As long as the Tonya Hardings of the world can still arrange to have the Nancy Kerrigans of the world kneecapped, it’s all good.
While viewing this,Mr.Phelps was caught emptying his beer saying something about not mixing.
Somewhere, a windmill slowly turns, a solar panel warms and some cattle feed is fed into an injector.
Sigh. Obviously all for naught.
DrD, thank you for not refering to either as “sports”.
Thanks for the smile.
“The bottom line is if Hansen wants to protest global warming, he should go to the National Cathedral and take it up with God rather than going to Capitol Hill.”
“NASA’s chief climate scientist is in hot water with colleagues and at least one lawmaker after calling on citizens to engage in civil disobedience at what is being billed as the largest public protest of global warming ever in the United States.”

Meanwhile, back at the ranch……..
“a single NASA space shuttle launch produces 28 tons of carbon dioxide. With two space shuttle launches per year, on average, that amounts to roughly 5 tons of carbon dioxide per month (by comparison, your average car generates about half a ton per month). Where the numbers really pile up is in the operation of Kennedy Space Center, which includes pumping 300,000 gallons of water to protect the shuttle from launch vibrations, moving the rockets, and keeping hundreds of tons of liquid oxygen and hydrogen cool. That makes for a monthly carbon footprint over 900 times that given off by the shuttle’s solid rocket boosters in one launch. Furthermore, 23 tons of harmful particulate matter settle around the launch area each liftoff, and nearly 13 tons of hydrochloric acid kill fish and plants within half a mile of the site. In all, the environmental cost per launch is the same as that of New York City over a weekend, Whitehorn says.”

Oh, forgot to ask, will the demonstration be moved to NASA in Florida?
OK, I needed that laugh. I have such a stress headache from Obama. I hear my money being siphoned from my back account! THAT was hysterical–ROTFLMAO! Thanks Kate.
Yeah: ROTFLMAO! I gasped … and then wondered how they did it … 😉
Goooooood one…….. Har.

For a sec. there I thought it was a highlight from a Leafs game.
“Oh my goodness,” one of Hansen’s former supervisors, Dr. John Theon, told FOXNews.com when informed of the video. “I’m not surprised … The fact that Jim Hansen has gone off the deep end here is sad because he’s a good fellow.”
And well-meaning, addle-brained, multiple degreed, high-profile, earnest, off-on-a-tangent, political, in need of attention, likes fluffy bunnies, a tool, good parent, recycler, and likely running out of time to make an “impact” on the world.
Sad, really.
lets reduce the supposed global warming to a physical dimension.Total increase in green house gas over the last 150 years is 130 parts per million.almost all the warming will happen in the lower troposphere eg 3000 feet or lower.Divide 130 ppm into 3000 ft I come up with less than 5 inches of carbon rich atmosphere. We are supposed to believe that the earths climate is screwed up by 5 inches of plant food spread out over 3000 THOUSAND FEET.suuuuuuuurrrrrrrreeeeeee!
