It’s been a few hectic days, and my best laid plans of fitting in a little blogging didn’t come to pass. 80 hours on the road, 5 am mornings, and 15 hour days can do that. I’m a few hours from home tonight, so things should be (mostly) back to normal blogivity by Wednesday. In the meanwhile, a couple of photos taken at the Montgomery County weekend, where our “crew” did exceptionally well.

Me and Can.Ch.Minuteman Amore, on his way to Best of Winners at Devon.

A typical class.

Congrats Kate. Breeding such fine animals takes care, science and art. You deserved your placing.
Congratulations, Kate!
My deceased and dearest loved dog was from a family of champions, so I know the blood, sweat, and tears that go into caring and preparing for, and showing your dogs.
Go well the road. I know that SDA misses you–another champion endeavour!
Brava, Kate! You must be rightly proud of your expertise, hard work, and your little champions. Pats all ’round!
It’s good to have you home: we’ve missed you. Welcome back!
congratulations, kate. And glad to have you back; whew, amazing what a few day’s absence does!
Well done Kate — cute pup — hope to see you at one of our local shows someday. My wife and I enjoy going to our yearly show.
I could tell immediately by first glance at the top post that you were back.
I know you need folks to fill in while you’re away – but there’s just no perfect substitute.
Keep up the good work….
Good work Kate and team! Always enjoy the pictures of your adventures. We missed you.
Awesome dog. I love dogs.
…where’s the cats?
say what ????—from wikipedia
Dion’s family has a husky named “Kyoto” which they purchased “to cheer themselves up after the Liberals lost the last [2006] election.”[56] However, Dion was not the first environment minister or Liberal to have a dog by that name. David Anderson also has a schnauzer named Kyoto which he purchased one week after Canada’s ratification of the Kyoto Accord.
Ok, I am gona get slammed, but dang Kate, how do you run after them puppies is that tight dress ?
,
You’ve porked up quite a bit since that picture of you in the short shorts was taken.
Congrats and nice profile shot 😉 You really should get a proper portrait of you and the grand champ, suitable for framing or posting for bragging rights. It would make for good business too.
p.s. how did you come up with the name Minuteman Amore? (sounds like a Frenchman’s quickie)(groan)
Some one in our town had one of those schazers but it would yip rather then bark
“You’ve porked up quite a bit since that picture of you in the short shorts was taken.”
Yup. All the way up to a size 6.
Actually, Can.Ch.Minuteman Amore almost looks supernatural.
You look at the schnauzer’s grey coat against the white tufts and that baronesque, military stance and bearing. And the dog seems to almost possess an additional dimension when contrasted with the ordinary human flesh tones and vaguely autumn tones surrounding him.
He seems to have an extra measure of electric vividness and kind of dominates the photograph.
And in strictly human terms, actually I was ogling the handler and silently musing that the handler looked pretty hot. Of course then I realized it was Kate, and understood that my observation contained feelings that were inappropriate. Naturally I chastised myself for this unforgiveable breach.
Still my remarks about the Schnauzer remain.
Do you ever think the real dogs out there (Those that pull sleds, fetch birds, and do all sorts of other tasks) get together and snicker at the show dogs?
Man, I need a holiday.
Gotta luv those trolls. Have to get on this site with negative comments no matter what the topic.
Gee Greg, a little early to be hitting the Shiner, eh?
“…baronesque, military stance and bearing.” Me thinks you are bloviating a wee bit 😉 Yeah, it’s a nice pooch and master although as I mentioned earlier, a formal portrait of the champ & master should be in order.
Having said all that, how in the heck does Kate do that dog show circuit, run a business and keep SDA up and running? Now that is the $64,000 question.
Texas Canuck,
hey! you earthy guys just don’t understand those of us with a sensitive nature exploring our creativity!
You make a good point. Kate is obviously a hard-charging gal with a lot of initiative.
Me, I’m looking forward to retirement and an opportunity to watch others do all the hard work.
“logie” go to your shop, pick up a screw driver, closet yourself in some secluded place and go ……… yourse…..well – you know what I’m saying.
Kate- by the way – congrats – nice dog – great job!
This ‘biker’ says, nice butt on the bitch. The dogs scrubs up pretty good too!!! :-O
(Couldn’t help it – the devil made me say it).
Get Bent Logie. Great work Kate! Glad you made it home safe!
funny lookin little dogs what with the hair and all, do they do tricks? my cats don’t either.
missed you though Kate and glad you’re home safe and sound.
size 6? you need to gain some weight girl
No, I don’t. In women’s clothing these days, 6 is “the new 8”. 😉
