  1. The issue is not that these people believe the rhetoric they expound. Nor is it that they will resort to killing everyone they disagree with. Those horrible truths are a given.
    The real issue is that not enough average ordinary Canadians don’t take the killers seriously enough to holler “stop”. I don’t expect jew haters in europe to care a darn bit. In Canada however we used to pride ourselves as the great moral tolerant society. I guess we just are not prepared to stand up and be counted.

  9. I’ll be looking at that later. Very significant information. Damning against the belief of many that terrorism and jihadism aren’t founded in Islam itself.
    People need to be aware of what exactly the Islamofacists are saying, not what the Elmasrys of the world are claiming. Those who actually wage the wars are the ones whose words are most important, for we must know the enemy.

  10. Maz2, thanks for that fascinating and thought-provoking post.
    I’ve been a Churchill admirer since my youth, when I read a number of Churchill biographies. My feeling about the man has always been amazement, and gratitude for his pivotal role in saving Western Civilization.
    Notwithstanding Churchill’s birth into an upper class family, his life was one of constant struggle, probably the greatest of which was over his chronic depression. He privately referred to this chronic depression as his “black dog”. No Prozac in those days; he just had to cope and overcome with mind and heart and the life-long love of his much-beloved wife, whom he called “Clemmie”.
    I remember a quote from one of his principle military advisors in WW2, Field Marshal Alan Brooke. As closely as I can remember it, “Winston had ten big ideas every day. Two or three of them would actually be brilliant. The trouble was he couldn’t tell them apart.”
    I’d respond that in contrast to the “global leaders” from that time through today, the overwhelming majority of them have had 0 out of 10 brilliant ideas, on any day.

    I doubt they have the legs to jump out.
    They would have to do something that is not in their psyche to do. Kill or export all Muslims from their countries.

  18. Islam would have been so much different if Mohammed had been humbled.
    Moses was humbled by God for disobedience and kept from the promised land.
    Christ was the example for all time of the humbled suffering servant.
    It is not offensive for Jews or Christians to see scorn cast upon them. They bore the weight for their people and were servants to them. Christ has been humbled willingly far more than any Piss Christ can do.

I still maintain that rather than engage in stupid symbolic saber ratling with the Americans, we put our efforts into national security and intel….round up and deport trouble makers and make no appologies for doing it…now THAT sends the right message….I couls care less how nuts these jihadist wankers act in their own country,,,,but it will not be tolerated here because it is diametriaca;;y opposed to the principles this nation stands for.
    Elmasry would be a prime candidate for reassesment of immigrant status.

  25. Radicals as members of religious groups have always existed.To me it is a question of how the mainstream members of this religion react to the actions of these terrorists.So far,it does not look promising.
    Over 2,000 Muslims in Montreal demonstrated against the publishing of some cartoons.I have yet to see a march against their fellow Muslims who are mass murdering around the world in the name of their religion….Dispicable!

    Will only stones and trees betray the Jews? What if they hide behind a shrubbery or a sofa? And how can stones and trees see, anyway? Do they have eyes? Do they have some kind of built in radar or heat sensor? And how do they know it’s a Jew? What if it’s a Christian, or a Zoroastrian, or another Moslem, even? Do they ever make mistakes? So many questions! Are the answers in the Koran?

    On page 67 we see Martin�s post-modern plans for Canada. Thank God we got that nutjob out of office, he has �clearly, fundamentally� been brainwashed by Maurice Strong. Martin�s like a world dominance character in a Goldfinger movie. I saw Martin give a talk in 2002 on this cultural relativism stuff. The UofT audience swooned, it was scary. He used his puppy dog eyes to great advantage. I thought we were done for.
    Martin was also sucking up to the Tamil Tigers. The guy had no shame.
    On page 65 Trudeau in 1995 actually said that his policy of multiculturalism had been �twisted� (by Chr�tien/Martin Liberals) to allow immigrants to now celebrate their old country instead of celebrating their new home Canada. Bernard Ostry, the senior civil servant that designed multi-culturism agreed that it now �encouraged immigrants to retreat to their own corners�.

It gives me hope To others, share this gift with as many as you can. This is how the struggle will be won, not by invading Iraq. To my fellow Canadians, please understand Afghanistan is not Iraq. We must do our part there. If not Afghanistan, then where is the West to make its stand against Islamofascist terrorism?
