Climategate 2.0: The Green Police

At the Air Vent;

Tallbloke a fellow recipient blog of the climategate emails, and linked on the right, was raided today in what seems to be a coordinated effort by Metropolitan Police, the Norfolk Constabulary and the Computer Crime division and the U.S. Department of Justice Criminal Division. His home was raided and computers were taken for ‘examination’.
[…]
UPDATE: Tallbloke and I both received the following notification from the U.S. Department of Justice Criminal Division and forwarded by Ryan at WordPress. ClimateAudit is also mentioned yet I’m not certain that Steve Received notice. It seems that the larger paid blogs may not have received any notice.

Reader Tips

Perhaps it’s the German side of my ancestry, but few things excite me more than fast cars. Here’s a trilogy of videos celebrating one of mankind’s greatest technological inventions: 1, 2, & 3.
Your turbocharged reader tips are welcome in the comments.

Will Dockworkers & Truckers be as Weak-kneed as Politicians?

Strange happenings have been occurring along the coasts of North America with the OWS nitwits shutting down the ports. A series of photos can be seen here. Even Vancouver was affected. Michelle Malkin has more coverage.

This hasn’t just happened spontaneously, of course. It’s being coordinated by socialist and communist groups who would love nothing more than to destroy the economies of the U.S. and Canada.
The question is, how much lost pay will the dockworkers and truckers accept before they retaliate in their own special way?
Update: Publicly, the union officials are not pleased. Privately, if this continues, OWS participants may not be so giddy once individual union members “occupy” their personal space.
For those who can stomach it, here’s the Twitter feed of Kari Koch, the young woman talking with Neil Cavuto. It would be very interesting to see an intrepid reporter interview her parents and elucidate the public on what her home life was like.

Worthless:The Indispensable Guide to Choosing the Right Major

SDA’s own “Captain Capitalism” has written a new guide to protecting your wallet from the evil clutches of Big Education.

Among his recommended uses;

“Worthless” should be airlifted and dropped into OWS camps.

So apparently, heavy enough to do proper damage!

In short, “Worthless” is the timeliest book in years that not only explains to a lot of people why they can’t find jobs, but has a nearly incalculable potential for good in that it will prevent future youths from making such a horrendous mistake.
That and it should, in theory, cut off the vital flow of brainwashable children and their tuition dollars into “Big Education.” Which would do more to fight against socialism and tyranny than most realize.

Oh, we realize it all right. You can buy the book at Amazon.

What We Really Need Is Democracy

With a totalitarian party to vote for:

On Wednesday and Thursday, Egyptians will head to the polls for the second stage of the country’s lengthy parliamentary elections. Unlike the first stage, which included Cairo and Alexandria, this stage will take place mostly in the countryside. So far the Islamists have won 69 percent of the seats in the first stage. This result will be repeated in the second stage with an increased percentage. The Islamist tsunami will only gain strength as it moves into more friendly districts.

So, it’s all good.

Why Does Lizzie May Hate Poor People?

An interesting new article coming out of the failed Greenfest in Durban opens up an entirely new set of questions for Canada’s American MP, Elizabeth May.
Leon Louw, Executive Director of South Africa’s Free Market Institute, has some most interesting things to say about the goals of May and her comrades at the UN:

The money goes to government and governments spend it on of course on themselves, meaning various government projects, creating bigger departments — bigger bureaucracies, it’s called big bureaucratic capture. They build empires, they build conference centers, and they buy political support. They go and distribute the money to communities where they want support and votes.
What the UN is saying is: ‘We want you to indulge our opinion of climate change and if you do so it’s going to cause a great deal of poverty and unemployment in poor counties.’ You cannot, as a poor country, subscribe to the Kyoto Protocol and grow. The two are mutually exclusive.

When will CBC/CTV/Global be asking Ms. May why she continues to support the oppression of poor people?

YNoKyoto (bumped for update)

We’re climate renegades!

Canada on Monday became the first country to announce it would withdraw from the Kyoto protocol on climate change, dealing a symbolic blow to the already troubled global treaty.
Environment Minister Peter Kent broke the news on his return from talks in Durban, where countries agreed to extend Kyoto for five years and hammer out a new deal forcing all big polluters for the first time to limit greenhouse gas emissions.

It’s about time that a Canadian government looked after Canadian interests.

From the comments, this excellent suggestion!

The Sound Of Settled Science

Climate models are to science what “Ancient Aliens” is to history…

Two top U.S. hurricane forecasters, famous across Deep South hurricane country, are quitting the practice of making a seasonal forecast in December because it doesn’t work.
William Gray and Phil Klotzbach say a look back shows their past 20 years of forecasts had no predictive value.

You can’t make this stuff up. Unless you’re the IPCC.
