    2. Bobby Orr is my all time favorite hockey player. Ditto Jack Nicklaus for golf. I am glad they came out for President Trump. Most likely they would rather have kept their politics personal until all this nonsense by James and others. The two tweets by Globe and Mail show how hypocritical they are.
      Other than Steven Gerrard, my other favorites for different sports are UCLA Bruins who are either dead (Arthur Ashe) or has not been involved with politics (Gail Goodrich for basketball, and someone whom you probably never heard off in football, Bobby Stiles, who won the first Rose Bowl for us as a defensive back.)

      Seriously, Herschel Walker has been an outstanding spokesman for his community, who supports Donald Trump.
      He cites real reasons such as Trump’s justice reforms, attempts to help black communities, with employment there growing.
      The Biden Bus needs another slogan; Fantasy over Reality. Democrats over Americans. Yet many feel they’ll fall for it.
      How is that possible with Trump’s growth in black and Hispanic communities? Will it translate turnout and thus votes?
      Biden sounds like an angry old man, railing at Trump over covid, inciting fear over a 2nd wave and mask mandates.
      Who wants that? Government employees on full pay? Hmm, bad enough, how about politicians on full pay? Lock them down.
      Then maybe we can finally realize they need us a lot more than we need them.

  12. Bobby Orr was, and still is a leader, The Grope and Fail can continue killing trees for no apparent reason, Parrots reject it for cage liners I’ve heard. I was lucky enough to see him play with the Hawks playing the Canucks way back in 77, he was at the end of his career, only played 3 shifts but commanded the ice and the plays, and the respect of everyone and all the players in the Vancouver Leftiedome that night. This James mutt is a ghetto scum with big hands that can jump but couldn’t spell “cat” if you spotted him the “c” and the “a”. I’ve had enough of the media putting whipped cream on cow pies like “lebron” and selling it to morons. Frankly if those mamas spent as much time and effort raising decent human beings, as they do coming up with dopey names, this would be a better place. But has Ron “PC” McLean weighed in with his spew, on Bobby Orr going against PC Ronnies gods, the TheeBThee’s narrative yet?

    1. Don’t forget that James got a 9-figure contract to bounce a ball and whined incessantly that he was “owned”. For that kind of money, a lot of people would willingly become someone else’s property for the duration.

    2. I remember when Orr started. Back then hockey wasn’t referred to as “ice hockey” yet, or “entertainment”. They wore their battle scars on their faces, too. My hockey heroes were Stan Makita, Bob Pulford, or the Road Runner, or Gordie Howe. You could do standing room only at the Forum in Montreal for $3, not what you pay for today.

  13. I wonder if anything can break the cognitive dissonance that infects these progressives? A co-worker commented to me today that “we’re so lucky we don’t have an election like the US. Our leader is in his forties, and that’s so much better than deciding between 70 year olds. It’s obvious that Biden has dementia, and Trump has been unstable for years.”

    I asked him if he was on drugs. US economic growth at 33% (monthly rate, it same rate could last a year), ours is under 5% by the same metric. Not the mention the mental state (or lack thereof) of our leader and how he seems to be trying to shut down our business, and I asked if he wanted to move on to economic policy. He didn’t, but he did express an interest in where I get my news, because I corrected a couple of his straw-men.

Reliably enjoyable to observe the reaction that POTUS DJT has been nominated 5 times for the Nobel Peace Prize – 4 in 2020, 1 for 2021- for a growing constellation of inconvenient reasons (not that one would necessarily want to receive it, but the ‘Prize’ does tend to get Regressives titillated), and the reasons as Al Gourdo opined, are an ‘inconvenient truth’.
      Then one moves on to the greatest ProLife POTUS since RvW, the greatest economy, jobs, AND manufacturing jobs, military rejuvenation including the relative rebirth of NATO now all participating parasites finally reach 2% of their GDP requirement.
      Most Regressives are pond skaters with the attention span of a CNN sound bite.

        1. I always thought pond skater meant “someone who learned to skate on a frozen pond instead of a rink”, which would mean rural or town < 250 people. That doesn't fit with the above though.

          I was always taught that that bug is a water strider, they are light enough and have enough surface tension on their widely-spread legs that they don't break the surface of the water, but walk on it.

  18. In one of John Feinstein’s golf books, A Good Walk Spoiled maybe, one golfer relates why he and so many on the various tours are conservative. The great majority of pros are scratching out a meagre living, living out of their cars hoping to qualify on a Monday or Tuesday for the upcoming week’s tourney in Lickspittle, Alabama or someplace. They fail to qualify and it’s another week of scrambling. They bust their butt to earn their paycheque and the government damn well better keep their hands off.
    On a lighter note, a true Brush With Greatness tale about Number 4…
