  1. Further to my comments about the movie Rollerball, here’s the re-make, but dubbed into, I think, Italian:

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=esLa09rtqcE

My knowledge of Italian is limited to a few musical and gastronomic terms, but it’s pretty obvious just by watching it that it has little in common with the original or, for that matter, the story. I suppose it helped that the screenplay for the 1975 version was written by the author.

And, yes, the re-make is awful.

  2. The very tense video of the cougar stalking the Utah hiker posted THREE DAYS AGO now has 5 MILLION views.

Even more amazing when you consider that there are a number of copies/versions on Youtube and others on Facebook and Instagram. What various videos and articles, including Snopes (already?), are now saying is the smaller cougar in the first frame is the mountain lion’s cub(s). No wonder she was motivated.

Watch the full six minutes. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9Pg2CDCm34w

    1. And did ya not find buddy was a bit of a moron..??
He had all the ammo he needed to scare off that kitty – ROCKS lots of them..!!
I’m thinking if thats me…It’s a BARRAGE….besides, cant run, bad leg.

      1. I thought of that as well. I have had encounters with big predators in the forest and would have loved to have been on a gravel road. Maybe he’ll learn to carry bear spray. Calling a killer “kitty” doesn’t help much. I think he discovered that real violence tops verbal violence.

      2. I was wondering why he didn’t pick up a rock. No one wants to hurt a wild animal, but when one’s life is on the line. It was a fragile, skinny cat in reality. Could that whole episode have been staged. Could he have stumbled onto a den and harassed the cat into extreme defensive behavior? Something’s not right about the video and about him.

        1. We have rabbits that come onto our apartment property to feed. They generally won’t run away unless one comes too close (say, 5 metres) or they’re startled by something.

If I see one fairly close to me, I back away and try not to disturb it, giving it a wide berth. I usually talk to it like I would to my canine step-brother so that it doesn’t just recognize my voice but it also hears how I express myself.

If I leave them in peace, they usually carry on as if I’m not there.

        2. Anna Mac – Not staged. You can see the cub in the first few seconds a long way off, then bam, a second later the mother is driving him off in a big hurry. Very typical behavior of a wild animal protecting her young.

Not Fragile. I don’t think she was “fragile”. In 2001 a cougar killed an Edmonton woman skiing in Banff. It was a male described below as “suboptimal”, being only 60 kg. (53kg to 100 kg is range for males) which is probably just a bit bigger than the female in the video.

  3. Trump completely shuts down this pathetic line of questioning during the town hall. https://twitter.com/Breaking911/status/1316898314017738752

This is what all conservatives need to do in interviews. It isn’t about Trump, it’s how he manhandles the left. Conservatives are fed up with career conservatives that have no balls at all and just cower accepting how the left categorizes them and attempt to explain their way out of the trap questions. He’s like “F that” and totally owns this. She tries to keep going on and on and he just yanks her back on point over and over.

    1. Her level of ignorance is astounding and at the risk of sounding sexist she needs a good hard smack.

  4. Smoking gun email:
    ——————-
“Dear Hunter, thank you for inviting me to DC and giving an opportunity to meet your father and spent [sic] some time together. It’s realty [sic] an honor and pleasure,” the email reads.

An earlier email from May 2014 also shows Pozharskyi, reportedly Burisma’s No. 3 exec, asking Hunter for “advice on how you could use your influence” on the company’s behalf.

The blockbuster correspondence — which flies in the face of Joe Biden’s claim that he’s “never spoken to my son about his overseas business dealings” — is contained in a massive trove of data recovered from a laptop computer.

The computer was dropped off at a repair shop in Biden’s home state of Delaware in April 2019, according to the store’s owner.

    1. Did anyone ask him about this at the town hall? Silly question, I guess. I wonder what the viewership was, Biden vs. Trump.

    2. Rudy Guiliani interview on the Joe/Hunter Biden CCP connection.

Biden can’t stand up to China.

      They own him.

His son, brother and sister-in-law are,and have been, partners with businesses owned by Communist China and high level members of the CCP.

Records I have seen show over $30 million paid to the #BidenCrimeFamily and a lot more to go.

  5. Blacklock reports that Angry Adolf continued to shovel out millions of environmental subsidies with no proof that the grants achieved anything. Also the Dept. of Fisheries can’t account where a third of its grants went to.

  6. “Greta” is outraged that the Supreme Court nominee doesn’t have a position on global warming.

    1. Greta? Is she still around? I thought she had disappeared after getting her 15 minutes of fame.

      1. Apparently she decided to go back to school. Waste of time, no amount of education can replace a serious lack of brain power. There is a YouTube video of her at a conference where she couldn’t answer any questions, not even ones most 17 year olds could handle, helpless without a script. There is no way in the world she came up with the analogies used, wouldn’t even know what an analogy is.

  7. The Burning Platform has a very interesting article on the “Roll Up Your Sleeves” congress. Amazing how ignorant we all are. Anyone who thinks my comments about the whu who flu have been off the wall, well, they are about to get a real kick in the ass.

      1. Coincidentally, at lunch with a new friend today, she began to tell me that globalists would soon be using flu vaccines to inject Americans with chips in order to control lives to the most minute detail. I’m a polite individual, but felt a distinct urge to move away from her. Now you link this. Jesus H. Christ.

  8. Your basic operating control of the socialists/fascists and so called “democrats” in the US congress and parliament of Canada, supported wholesale by the mass media cartel.

    What is gaslighting?

    “Gaslighting”
    https://www.psychologytoday.com/ca/basics/gaslighting

“Gaslighting is an insidious form of manipulation and psychological control. Victims of gaslighting are deliberately and systematically fed false information that leads them to question what they know to be true, often about themselves.”

  9. One lady upset a vicious anti-Trump townhall ambush with this “question”:

“Mr. President, you have a beautiful smile,”

    https://www.americanthinker.com/blog/2020/10/one_remark_from_one_woman_overhauled_the_energy_at_last_nights_trump_town_hall.html

Strange. I fell asleep yesterday listening to a non-Trump something or other through headphones. As you know, depending on your settings, YouTube will continue with the next video. Awaking, I was still sorta dreaming, and wondering: whose is that nice SINCERE voice. It was The Donald’s. And true, eh?

    1. Ah, the good old “Reset”. I think that was tried once before. It was called the Deutsche Demokratische Republik. How’d that turn out?

    2. This is what it looks like when the wise talkers run out of talking sense.

They start talking selfenhancing bullshit and the other wise guys agree because they absolutely, positively , can’t possibly disagree lest they be discarded from the mob.

In fact anyone can spew the bullshit this guy is talking, it is the line, as though seared in the minds of self admiring idiots that somehow got hold of a mouthpiece.

The guy may have got enough people to listen to him and follow. He may have talked a sense in the past. Now he is in position where every word he spews is applauded by the followers.
When that happens, you’re talking bowel movement.

Noticed that he was born in 1939, don’t see how he could get infected by the rulers of the time, though apparently he did.

    1. Sophie Venetitay, deputy head of the SNES-FSU teacher’s union, said: “He was murdered because he was doing his job, namely teaching critical thought.”

She said the victim was a history and geography teacher who was in charge of “moral and civic education”.

“In that capacity, he gave a lesson on the freedom of expression with the Mohammed caricatures,” she said.

  10. So whats on the Liberal Party’s political shows tonight. Well so far CTV is explaining how Biden was wonderful on his town hall, and Trump was Hitler on his town hall. And the CBC is discussing how Canadians are racist bastards.

  11. True North reports on TV personality and Liberal candidate Marci, who also hates the police. The Toronto Liberal candidate posted a 9/11 conspiracy theory.

    1. My kind of music, but not the only kind.
Discovered country music in Montreal circa 1972, believe it or not. Station 1470 CFOX on the AM dial. You could dial it in on the AM radio, on the tanker I sailed on as far east as Quebec City, then it disappeared with the angle on the river changing. There is a sizeable French Canadian CW crowd outside the Montreal area, I didn’t know existed.
Next stop CFAC 960 AM, somewhere north of Drumheller, summer 1975. Drowned out the chuff, chuff chuff, chuff of the gas compressor. FM wasn’t what it is today, out on the bald arse prairie, back then.

      1. Very interesting. I only started liking Country lately. About 2 years now, I believe.

As for FM RADIO– back in the day there were no ads, just music. Today they have way too may, that is, at least, the channels which I listen to on occasion.

Sometimes, when flipping the dial and landing on CBC, I can’t help admire how the CBC has a better, clearer sound than the others. Boss channel?
