    This is likely the end of the NDP, half will just go to the Liberals(where the unions have moved already), the other half will go Green.

  17. I can remember when the NDP, formed by the former CCF party and the Canadian Labour Congress, was meant to represent Canadian farmers and workers. Today’s Dippers wouldn’t recognize a farmer or a worker if one came right up and kicked them in the ass. Which should be done. Repeatedly.

    1. That doesn’t mean the aforementioned farmers won’t vote for them. I used to know someone who became a minister in Alison Redford’s cabinet and maybe even Jim Prentice’s. We were in university at the same time and we became acquainted during our freshman year at a small junior college located in a largely farming town.

      In the 2015 election debacle, he was among those MLAs who were turfed out, even though he was the local boy who made good. His being affiliated with Prentice’s party was enough to get people to vote against him and, yup, his successor was a Dipper.

    1. Quite right. They went into the 2019 election essentially broke, owing about $4.5 million at election time. As you rightly indicate, they are far worse off now. Jagmeet is not filling the coffers with donations.

      More than that, the NDP have 24 seats in the House of Commons, 11 of them in BC, 6 in Ontario, three in Manitoba. It’s quite likely they will lose much of the Ontario seats they have in a next election. So they desperately need to fend off the next election for fear that they will have the remainder decimated and lose official party status. Hence, the Liberals own them.

  24. A membership in the Provincial NDP party is an automatic membership in the Federal NDP party, and vice-versa. Anybody supporting any party delaying the WE investigation needs help in examining their moral and ethical compasses.

    They couldn’t get over the fact that people were actually watching the fiasco of the Parliamentary Committee testimonies on TV in the middle of summer when we’re usually out on vacation. Then, they remembered that Canadians were in isolation due to CV-19 as per their command. Well, they couldn’t have us watching anymore riveting daytime television drama. So, this is what we got and will continue to get!

    If this wasn’t the BIGGEST SHUT-OUT AND SHUT-UP BY THE GOVERNMENT, I don’t know what is!
