      1. Trudeau views the “post nationalist state” as an airport terminal for the world. Comes with a big pay-check and all the loot you can hustle on the side.

As far as Blackface is concerned, once the dust settles from the wreckage he’ll be able to afford to live wherever he want’s.

        1. Companies can beat that posturing, incompetent legislation.

The firms will just create paper contractors that do all the work overseas.

This is just more incompetency from TruDOPE!

    1. It is the parasites that vote Liberal, Watermelon and Dipper. They are the ones causing this problem. Once the Democratic People’s Republic of Kanuckistan becomes Venezuela North, they will be the first to succumb. Unfortunately, the parasites don’t believe the gravy train will end. In the mean time, we suffer for it.

      1. MikeT, even if these dumb asses are dying of hunger and freezing to death they will not change.

        1. The bottom 50% of income earners pay 9% of taxes and get 50% + of benefits.
          Who’s the dummies?

With even better offers on the way.

          Praise be to Justin.

  1. Will SNC be required to retain services of local hookers instead of flying clients to Canada and hiring Canadian sex workers?

  2. As one of the thread commenters wrote, the head offices will leave Canada and so will the profits.
Its similar to our high tech “industry”. They all get bought up or move. (An Amazon distribution center is not high tech employment.)
Look what the greentards did to manufacturing in Ontario.
Meanwhile, Canadians invest more of their money in foreign companies.
On average, every Canadian could become relatively debt-free and moderately wealthy if the federal government disappeared.

    1. No surprise.

Agenda 2030 is all about trading our First World standard of living to the Third World for their standard of living.

      Straight up.

Orchestrated and imposed on you by the Maurice Strong -approved Liberal Party of Canada.

      Hail to One World Order!

      1. Nailed it Achilles…

Maurice Strong and his Munificent Benefactors: the Rothschilds & the Rockefellers.
GLOBALIST Filth the lot. I include pretty much the entire political establishment in this country: PM to Premiers to Mayors.

For the most part, ALL MARXISTS

        1. I wouldn’t say that they’re all Marxists, but they would gladly see a return to feudalism. They must really hate that the Magna Carta actually gave rights to serfs.

    2. My investment manager follows the money. Maybe twenty years ago my stocks were largely Canadian but over the years due diligence by the investment manager means my holdings are being shifted to mainly American and some global investments. Who would invest in Canada with Trudeau at the helm.

  3. I’m waiting for Blackie to order his Toronto Star to buy Blacklock. Then only approved Liberal Party content will be published. Blacklock must fall in line with the rest of the bought and paid for media.

    1. &%$#@!%**&^$#@! Liberal Party!

But taint it funny that the Conservative Party, when in power, never ever finds a way to roll the Librano/ ideological things back?

      1. Achilles.

That illustrates exactly why we in the WEST need to LEAVE.

The power Cabal that Truly runs Canada is centered in the Laurentien’s…their Ancestors designed the system and to date, their progeny have shown ZERO interest in letting go of said reigns of power. All who come to Ottawa must bend their knee, kiss said Laurentien (_i_)…..and DO THEIR BIDDING.

There are NO CONSERVATIVE POLITICIANS in Canada. They do not EXIST. Witness the Tool confirming support for the IPCC & Quebec.

WEXIT is our only LOGICAL option…to do otherwise is to confirm our collective IDIOCY.

        1. I’m afraid you will find out the virus is already widespread.
Do I really need to repeat the Lotusland, Redmonton, TCD, Ralphie schtick?
Your “Conservative Country” map will have more zig zags and holes than the Spawn’s explanation of quantum mechanics.

    2. BTW:

The Bitove family of Toronto now owns the Toronto Red Star.
Infamous and lifelong apologist for the Liberal Party.
Nice to know who’s leading the charge against math, common sense and freedom in a fair Canada.
If you, perchance, run into them at your local mucky muck cocktail soiree, please ensure you rattle your jewellery in their direction.
Even an accidental (or not) Veuve Clicquot shower doesn’t seem too extreme in these burn, loot, murder days so enjoyed by such publications.
Think of the pain caused to this country by a “newspaper” that elects more Liberals than the CBC.
The Toronto division of the MTV Party.

    1. The only advantage is if you have government connections and get exemptions, grants, forgivable loans, native status and are filthy rich…
Even can be exempt from lockdowns being a billionaire…
The monetary system of ownership and a price on everything is a totally failed system.

        1. If you change the name of Canada to North Korea, yes we have the same system currently.
Have the Covid cops arrived at your door yet?
          Then they soon will be…

          1. They never have to come to your door. So wrong again, Joe.

Your grasp of reality is lacking.

For one thing, there is no money system. There’s a currency printing system that people pretend is money.

Wrap your mind around that. I’ll wait.

          2. How’s that been working for you when our government keeps changing the rules and now have kicked the board over in massive corruption where we have cops terrified to arrest politicians?
Can you keep up with the constantly changing laws now?
This monetary system is man made and no other species has ownership.

    2. Yea wealthy people willing to live in -C weather for half a year and fight traffic in snowstorms.

Anyone want to see how desirable Canada is to the world, cut off welfare for new immigrants and see how many show up.

      1. Any wonder there is an exploding “homeless” population? Excessive immigration of third world trash, and the financial gifts they are given, is pushing out long term poor into the streets.
No wonder there’s a housing shortage. Trudeau really does hate the poor as well.

  4. When you look from the 1960s onward…It really is government intervention that has crushed our economy and happiness with ever increasing laws, restrictions and regulations while being our nanny state in all areas of our life.
Imposing destructive policies that makes trying to live independent illegal.

    1. Same culprits as today.

      Liberal Party.
      Co-opted Media.
      Impotent Conservative Party.

Pearson dabbled in social engineering and authoritarianism but it never really took off until the Canadian Media coronated the First Messiah.

In his great wisdom, he and he alone, decide that Canada was too undiverse.
So he stopped the European invasion whose pale-faced mauradering was obviously causing great havoc across Canada, and replaced it with some of the most diverse of third world civilizations.
Such great diversity requires great coinage requires mucho government.

      And mucho mucho lying Media.

      1. I used to think that Pearson was the last decent Liberal PM this country had. But the past few years have made me re-consider that. That bumbling nebbish, after all, inflicted PET on us by promoting him to a cabinet position in the wake of the Maurice Rivard scandal.

Maybe that title should go to St. Laurent.

        1. Paul Stewart wrote back in the 1990’s that Pearson was a Soviet mole.
Pearson also plucked PET from the Dippers to become the Liberal Party leader.

    2. JOe…

      when you look at Why.??
Allowing the Public Service to Unionize
No oversight on the CBC, who have been involved in SOCIAL ENGINEERING since that time as well. Thank a LIBERAL and their decades long love of Socialism for the above.

  5. I agree with the posters on this thread that Trudeau’s new rule would hurt our international companies.

Having said that, as a small retail investor I carefully watch companies’ environmental and relationships with the locals. Please do not flame me on this, but goldmining investors do want their companies to run well-managed operations. A case in point: in Papua Guinea the conservative government there is in the process of nationalizing a Barrick Gold mine, which had pollution issues and which treated the locals badly. During the pandemic summer I owned shares of K92 gold, also operating in Papua Guinea, made lots of capital gains on this small company. I studied their company web page, and this small company has fantastic relations with the local community, with 95% of its work force local and who funds local job training schools. As a gold investor I read comments on the small investor chat rooms (e.g., Stockhouse Bullboard), and gold investors — all of whom are tough-minded conservatives — want their mines run like K92.

A second example: I was thinking of investing in Alamos Gold, which operates, among other mines, two small mines in the North. In August, one of the mines started discharging effluent into the Artic Ocean, and which mine only hires a minuscule number of Inuit. So now the Nunavut government is holding up development of the mine (btw, none of this has made the newspapers). So I didn’t buy shares in Alamos, and instead doubled my shares in Battle North. The latter company is well run, and has excellent relations with the Red Lake community. People who run small gold mines are tough, hard-bitten conservatives, and want their mines run right.

In these days of economic collapse — and we will see a collapse — it will be easy for gold mines to make lots of money, enough to share by all interested in them.

    1. I know of a silver discovery back in the 1980s…unfortunately the government turned the area into a nature reserve park in northern Ontario.

    2. Yea, only Inuit should be allowed to work in Canada! BTW why hasn’t your job been filled by a green Inuit already? Flamed 🙂

  6. And in related news, the Clean Fuels Standards have been revised so that crops grown on land that has been cleared since 2007 will not be accepted for ethanol production.

And Canada’s farm organizations – which have always “embraced” green nonsense without thought or care about the impacts on taxpayer or the environment – are working themselves up to full howl.

So it looks like the green slime has woken up to the fact that the nice green ethanol they always voted for has been responsible for most of the ongoing destruction of forest cover. And it looks like they got turdo’s ear.

    1. The problem with ethonal is that it never should have been mixed with gasoline as it does not mix well with oil and has a different octane. This gums up small engines. But hey, then you need to keep buying new ones and keep the economy rolling.

      1. “The problem with ethonal is that it never should have been mixed with gasoline…”

True. But the REAL problem with corn-sourced ethanol is that it is (a) energy negative, and (b) screws taxpayers. And that probably applies to any other biofuel that our parasites can dream up.

  7. Good company’s do benefit there community and employees . Most are owned by very hard working conservatives. The company’s that cause trouble are in the business of getting government grants as there main line of work instead of producing a good product. The poorly run company’s run into trouble with regulations and finding good workers . Unfortunately even good company’s become targets of Unions and governments.

  8. Explain to me again how imposing Canadian laws on companies operating in jurisdictions outside of Canadian law is going to be enforced and if it can, will somehow stop those companies from leaving Canada?

    On a related note.
After that also explain how giving the chicoms Meng will insure the two Mikes get released from communist China?

  9. HOW TO SELL YOUR COUNTRY TO CHINA:

    1. Take a thriving Canadian enterprise.
    2. Institute regulations that make it unable to operate profitably.
    3. Allow Beijing to purchase the enterprise at a fraction of fair value.
    4. Stop enforcing the regulations.
    5. Repeat as necessary.

    1. Cities as buying failing hotels and using it for housing now…
Your borrowed tax dollars at work.

      1. That’s what happens when the virtue signalling Liberal idiot government imports more third world trash than the country is capable of taking it.
        Incompetent assholes!

  10. I just wish this idiotocracy we have in Ottawa would just go away.
    End the nightmare please.
Please tell me I am sleeping.

    1. The First Messiah was 15 years.

The Second Embarrassing Joke On Canada may beat that.

It’s not like Canadians are getting any smarter.
Nor is the Media getting any more honest.
The Conservatives continue to do the Joe Clark.

Canada is over like 23 skidoo, she’s the cats meow and Daddy-o.

    1. If only we had known.

“From 2008 to 2012, he was president and CEO of the World Wildlife Fund Canada.
As the former Principal Secretary to Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, was praised as the architect behind the Liberal Party of Canada platform that led to their victory in October of 2015 and was one of the most senior staffers in the Office of the Prime Minister, along with Katie Telford.”

  11. “In Pierre Trudeau, Canada has finally produced a Prime Minister worthy of assassination.” ~ John Diefenbaker

  12. Easy solution …much easier than trying to vote the Liberals out.

“Canadian” companies operating abroad that are effected by this stupid rule/law/regulation will simply become American, Chinese, or other foreign owned companies. It will be easy because Canadian shareholders will gladly sell to Americans or other nationalities to escape this burden. The only industries that won’t be able to do this are broadcasters and banks, due to ownership regulations.

Poof …problem solved. Next crisis, please.

  13. I’m not really concerned. Exemptions and outclasses will be put in place so those that do the correct thing, like make a few tens of thousands donation to the Trudeau Foundation, will get out of their environmental shackles. Business will carry on as usual under the Liberals.

  14. Not a problem. Just move your company Head Office out of Canada. Fixed. I dont care about Canada. I only care that my investments earn a decent rate of return.

Or western Canada separates and eastern companies can move their offices here.

    1. No, don’t move eastern Canadian companies to an independent West. They tend to bring their baggage with them.

  15. Rules for Canadian companies operating abroad? There simply aren’t any such companies. We are a branch plant of corporate USA.

  16. Jamie – 100% Correct.

I believe the Gambit of Mandating a certain percentage of Ethanol in Gasoline has SFA to do with the “environment” and everything to do with increasing Fed Govt Revenue.

Assuming a 20% mandated Ethanol /Gasoline fuel – that will in fact impact ones Mileage (~ 7-10% overall maybe.?). THAT means you will have to fill up 7-10% more often which translates into an 7 – 10% revenue increase on the Taxes paid for said Fillup.

EASY to prove: Run your Tank Dry – Go to Costco and fill up. (Their Fuel is laced with Ethanol – its why they, with what..? 60 stores in Canada maybe.?, can provide cheaper Gasoline that ESSO. Ya didnt Think they sell it below cost now did ya people..? Anyway I digress, run that tank of Costco fuel dry noting your mileage. Then do the same with a tank full from any normal gas station. Note your mileage and compare.

Saving the Environment MY ASS. What truly kills me is that they are convinced folks totally BELIEVE Their Bullshit.

    1. 10% less is about right. I tried Mobil as well for a bit, and their fuel is not much better quality than Costco.
Co-op fuel is my choice, and with a membership you get 7cents back per liter at dividend time.
