      1. Like I said, WEXIT. The only hope for avoiding all out Western Revolt is that The Tool is just lying for the eastern vote and his true colours will come out after he’s in power. Of course that is just a vain hope, a cry of misery and defeat from yet another alienated westerner.

So glad my wife is an American citizen so we have a hope of departing this sorry marxist state before it’s too late.

    1. cgh, there ain’t very many real conservatives in canukistan, so when one speaks, you would do well to pay heed. You are great on technical issues, but fall flat on political and social issues! Max is a real conservative, and has a good platform for the PPC. We have enough ignorant assholes in here, and don’t need another one!

    1. The problem with Jason Kenney is he’s too effing stupid. The whole overspending thing has 100% to do with too much spending on health and education

Public service compensation costs $26.7 billion with the average Alberta civil servant making 20% more than the Canadian average. Kenney proposes cutting 1,400 jobs. What an asshole.

His solution to the mega billion deficit is to destroy the Alberta parks system, closing hundreds of parks and saving – get this – $4 million. That’s M M M Million not B B B Billion. The guy makes Red Rachel look like Churchill and Mother Theresa’s love child.

      1. 99.999% correct you are. Based on some of the responses to my comment to Bell’s column, there are still too many brain dead Liberals and Dippers in Alberta as well.

Goes back to the West suffering from abused spouse syndrome.

  1. This makes it obvious the only chance for a democratic country is for the west to get out of trudeau’s dictatorship, and the sooner the better!!

  2. WEXIT is the only realistic chance to improve the standing of the west. I doubt westerners have the motivation to achieve it.
Enjoy the decline. I won’t vote Lib/Con or for any eastern politician.

  3. Coulda had Sloan.

Wait. No we couldn’t. Not if Bay Street (or Quebec City) had any say in it.

One day we’ll find out Sloan won by a landslide and how shamelessly rigged the vote was.

  4. He just lost the election.

O’Toole had a golden opportunity. With the scandal plagued Trudeau minority government so corrupt that its media allies couldn’t ignore the rot, all he had to do was position himself in the middle – not a red Tory and not a staunch social conservative and he would win.

But no, he seems to have listened to the mainstream media who keep telling the Conservative Party that to be elected they need to move to the left, become Liberal-Lite, when the truth is he can’t be elected without the support of the conservative right. By taking the media advice, he lost their support.

  5. Taxed to heat your home north of 49 in winter. Yeah, I’ll vote for that. And jack the tax just before winter arrives. A winning proposition.
Oh, yeah they got a raise last spring, too while you sat out a few months.

  6. If we stays,we pays.
And we pays and pays and pays..

The Loonie Liberal NDP Power party will save us from ourselves, even if they have to kill us to do it.
Using their philosophy of mutual misery they know, they just know,This Time it will work..For sure.
The 30 million corpses from the last great socialist attempt mean nothing.
Eastern Canada has voted to rob Peter to enrich and reward Paul, they being that Paul and the “Redneck Morons of the West” are the Peter they figure on robbing.
    And why not?
It has worked for 40 years.

The Conservatives are fools, insult and aggravate your base, while sucking up to those who hate you?
Leave them to enjoy the fruits of their stupidity.
The new country will require enforced borders and a good spy agency..

I got the “Tooles” fundraising blurb in front of me
” Mr Insert Blank,I love this country and I am overwhelmed by the opportunity you have given me to change the course of Canadian politics….”
Well he has started early,by the time he has done supporting Emperor Justine’s attempts to hold power, the course of Canadian politics will indeed be changed.

If we continue to tolerate the spineless corruption of our elected representatives and the endless greed of our Kleptocracy, then we have no one to blame but ourselves.
The State of Wood Bison,AKA Buffalo, would easily fit into President Trumps second term.
We would get a very well tested constitution,a slightly more real dollar and all the powers of a State, which are pretty much those of an independent country.
    Without all the BS.
Land Bridge to Alaska, which will happen anyway once Ottawa can no longer fund the Welfare Territories.

  7. Remember when Harper ran against Dion in 2008 and his “carbon tax on everything?”

12 years later O’Toole is on-board and carbon tax just has to be administered properly.

Conservatism is just Liberalism going the speed limit. New Democrats are just Liberals in a hurry. They’re three planks of progressivism.

  8. Western conservatives need to realize that the CPC leaders and brain trust like them about as much as the Liberals like them. Electing more Tory MPs isn’t going to help you or get your policies implemented cause all they care about is themselves. It’s a lost cause. Bernier is half-right but the answer isn’t some cut-rate politician from Quebec.
Once the Liberals lock up the next election with a majority, there needs to be a serious effort to get the hell out of Canada and forget the Harpers, Kenneys, Rempels, and other useless establishment drones cause the current system works very well for them. It will need to be an outsider effort.

  9. I wonder what the exact wording is on the law. If indeed it specifies a tax on “carbon emission”, in the U.S. you could probably win a case that the law is just on soot, as carbon dioxide, being a distinct and very stable compound, is not covered. That is the same as a “hydrogen tax” cannot possibly mean water, otherwise known as dihydrogen oxide.
It would be great if stupid word games come back to bite them in the rear end.

  10. Don’t know who makes me laugh harder: the “well, he’s better than Justin” crowd, or, “a saviour will appear and wexit us” gang.
