  1. From the comments and how very true!
“I never cared if you were “gay” until you started shoving it in my face, and the faces of my children.
-I never cared what color you were, until you started blaming my race for your problems.
-I never cared about your political affiliation until you started to condemn me for mine.
-I never cared where you were born until you wanted to erase my history and blame my ancestors for your current problems.
-I never cared if you were well-off or poor until you said you were discriminated against when I was promoted because I worked harder.
-I never cared if your beliefs were different from mine until you said my beliefs were wrong.
    NOW I CARE!
My patience and tolerance are gone.
I’m not alone in feeling this way, there are millions of us who do……and we have had enough!”

    1. +++Anne, we, the millions, are with you, we are too civilized to kill them all. Therefore they will bury us.

    2. “…NOW I CARE!
My patience and tolerance are gone.
I’m not alone in feeling this way, there are millions of us who do……and we have had enough!”

Well said. Enough is enough. We owe nothing to nobody. Period.

    3. Anne,
I would add this as well.

I will not censor my thoughts speech and actions, to comfort your ignorance and sensitivity.

    4. Truer words were never spoken. We Americans are two things simultaneously … 1) tolerant, and 2) independent. When the left demands 1) … but also insists we ditch 2) … they can all go to fu(king Hell!!

  2. Thank you for the belly laugh – I had tears in my eyes from laughing when I read the comments.

  3. I love watching NFL – sometimes 2 full games per week. Not this year. I did read that Tyler Eiffert of the Jags has stated he will be displaying the name of the black retired policeman (Dorn) killed by the rioters while guarding his friends pawn shop. That takes courage these days.

  4. The only mystery that I can see is how owners, who btw, just have to know how all this virtue signalling nonsense isn’t going to put a$$es in the seats and along with it a huge loss of revenue for them which is why I always thought they were in the business to begin with…or is it? Do they really think that that’s what Joe Lunchbucket wants to see? Are they that insulated from the real world? Are they that stupid??!!??
Are there other forces at work here? Are there people behind the scenes who promised to cover their losses?
Advertisers? Municipalities who own arenas? Media??
I mean, c’mon! How could they not know?

    What’s going on???

  5. We know one thing: baseball, football, basketball and hockey players don’t make money because they have brains.
If they were turned into zombies they’d starve to death.

  6. 1.68 million viewers? Isn’t that hovering up there with Gilligan’s Island reruns?

It looks like 40 million black people couldn’t give a shit.

  7. It’s all too political now – slogans on the court and field, SJW coaches and team execs speaking out, they are driving their fan base away and killing their business.

Plus, with the NBA it is not really basketball anymore as at some point carrying, travelling was deemed ok as long as it led to a dunk.

    I’m also officially out!

    1. That’s one of the main reasons I could never watch it in the first place: “these aren’t the rules I learned!” Sure, a bit whiny perhaps, but there we are. Just calling those would screw up the pacing and scoring so bad, it would become much more boring than it is.

Similar to hockey…it seems like almost all hits in hockey are either charging or boarding, but not a one is called, or almost so. There’s never really been a violence problem in the NHL…it’s always been an league/officiating problem. I can appreciate a solid hit as much as the next guy, but they let it go wild to grow the American market, and now power seems to be the main metric instead of skill. YMMV. But I gave up on almost all pro sports years ago. Even now, I only periodically follow the Riders, but that’s mostly due to the ebb and flow of life and family.

      1. Hockey used to be a wonderful sport. Until Betteman took over. He has taken the contact out, damn near all of it, and in it’s place we are left with back & forth and back & forth like basketball. (And advertising that destroys momentum!) Bear in mind that Betteman(sp.) was the head honcho in the NBA prior to taking control of the NHL.
We are left with this – a bunch of huge and I mean HUGE friggin’ ‘stick-handlers’ (like the clown in Las Vegas that has his stick between his opponent legs, where there is NO PUCK) that are now kneeling as that opportunity presents itself, and officiating that is incapable of keeping up with the game. And I understand ads by Wuhu or whatever on Sportsnet? I think? Not sure. Anyhow there is very little room for the likes of the Cornoyers or the Fleurys now – supremely skilled players but small. Messier probably would be in the minors because of his penchant for contact.
The NHL ceased to exist a long time back. Not worth the time now.

        1. I was a kid in the 70s when the Habs had their 5/6 year Cup dynasty. Watched every Saturday on a li’l 14″ B&W screen…sometimes on a colour 20″ screen at my grandparents’ house. Cornoyer and LaFleur and Dryden were my favourite players. The game today is nowhere close to what it was then, and actual skills are almost an afterthought to size and power. In a game of “dump and chase”, fights are about the only things that make the game “exciting”, instead of boring. If I wanted boring and uninteresting sports, I’d watch baseball, soccer, or NFL.

Bettman is a clown with little-man syndrome, and it shows in everything he does. The Board of Governors wears this for keeping him around.

  8. L-Sports are proxies for the skill set, group cohesion and the will required for successful hunters/warriors, the basis for human survival and the basis to thrive.

The game reflects the archetype of human history and evolution.

The attempt to de-masculinize sports and embrace feminine levels of empathy is cultural suicide. “Politics is downstream from culture.”- Andrew Breitbart

UFC/MMA is a portrayal of the archetype of the male heroic stereotype. The most competent dominate competition.

Rewarding competence w/status resides deep in the human subconscious. Western Civilization came to dominate; because we adopted the ideal of hierarchies of competence.

Infiltrating gov’t. to weaken institutions, to have them forsake that has been achieved; but doing the same to individuals and groups, who govern themselves, that fails fast and hard!

The sport industry requires psych. counseling. I’d recommend, they talk to Joe Rogan !

    *He’s both a martial arts champion(Tae-Kwon Do) and a successful hunter 🙂

  9. I wonder how long before the sports team owners realize the Knee Grows working for them are replaceable,
    where the Fan’s are not.

  10. Most curious and hilarious (I gave up hockey intermissions when Don Cherry was fired and cancelled SportsnetNow altogether when NHL became a Social Justice League) is that all the changes demanded come from those with zero interest in any pro sport they target, except to destroy it. The hilarity comes from thinking making changes will produce new fans wanting to spend money on jerseys etc.

In Bananada, the NHL surely knows the demographic/cultural trend means their business is ultimately is doomed.

  11. The BLM-MLB
    The BLM-NBA
    The BLM-NFL

are all DEAD to me. Not my Leagues anymore. Don’t care. THEY made their choice, and it didn’t include me. Meh. I’m getting more actual things done around the house. Here in lilywhite suburbia. I don’t speak ebonics … so I can scarcely understand a single thing the hip-hop broadcasters say.

    1. “The BLM-MLB
      The BLM-NBA
      The BLM-NFL”

There is a “BLM-NAMBLA” joke in there somewhere…

  12. Does anyone have a link to where “TV ratings” or “Radio ratings” are available to the public?

At least the NFL are not allowing “BLM” on the psa or ads. “End Racism” is something I desire, But I’m talking all racism, not just selective racism.
“It takes all of us”, even though it’s a lot like “it takes a village to raise a child” which I despise,,, “It takes all of us” is still far better than “Diversity is our Strength”

Probably time for each team to have quotas based on race for each team,,, of course, to match the population of the country.

I’m at the point where I’m ready for all professional sports, to all come tumbling down, every bit of it.
Some of these players making a million dollars per game, and the so called people they’re kneeling for, will be hard press to gross a million dollars in their entire working career. I could get behind BLM demanding money, cash, millions from athletes who support BLM. Make ’em pay! Canceling a game means jack ! Show us the money! , and if hockey players want to be so virtuous too, make them shell out the cash too.
Biggest losers,,, NHL playing hockey in August and September !

  13. I had season tix for Rutgers college football for 10 years. Gave them up 3 years ago when the university’s politics started to infect the game. Lifelong Eagles fan but started to stray last year when the anthem antics began. Now I’m done. They’re dead to me.

If they come for SEC college football, then I’m done with broadcast sports. Forever. Please don’t come for SEC college football.

    1. Nah … those black folk down in the SEC … deys knows deir place. Or at least that’s what the racist media will say. That the Southern black folk are still “oppressed”.

I understand that Rutgers is something of the UC Berkeley of the East Coast. A real top quality PUBLIC University. Or at least it used to be … before the PC culture strangled it

      1. Yup. Hell, Milton Friedman got his Economics undergrad degree there if you can believe it. And Sowell taught there in early 60s. Now it just churns out little commies. Sad. I don’t give them a dime.

  14. I’m not boycotting these woke sports leagues, I’m simply disgusted by them and no longer have any interest in their product.
A boycott may end because of some action of theirs.
My disgust and contempt for their stupidity and cowardice isn’t going away any time soon.

  15. The NHL can go to hell too.

The NHL cancelled games because a guy did this…

Blake is accused in the criminal complaint, which was obtained by The Post, of breaking into the home of a woman he knew and sexually assaulting her.
The victim, who is only identified by her initials in the paperwork, told police she was asleep in bed with one of her children when Blake came into the room around 6 a.m. and allegedly said, “I want my sh-t,” the record states.
She told cops Blake then used his finger to sexually assault her, sniffed it and said, “Smells like you’ve been with other men,” the criminal complaint alleges.
Police were attempting to arrest him for violating a restraining order stemming from the alleged sexual assault. He resisted arrest, physically wrestling with the cops, then got shot by the cops.

This is why the NHL cancelled games. This is the reason why. If someone made this up, you would never believe it. Games were cancelled because the above happened. The NHL, MLB, NBA can all go to hell.

  16. My wife and I used to spend all day Sunday watching NFL. Not any longer.

Have also stopped watching MLB and NBA.

Wonder how long it will take until advertisers pull out their money when they see ratings and viewership constantly dropping?

As many people have said, “Get woke, go broke”

  17. I grew up watching all professional sports with my dad and loved every minute of it. I was blessed to marry a man who also enjoys watching and going to games. No longer; they are all dead to us. And we don’t even miss them.

  18. The NHL did their thing as well, but it was over in a day, and some might not even have noticed.

I recommend they keep it that way. Individuals are free to be as political as they wish on their time, but allowing politics into a business, no matter how well intentioned, can quickly prove toxic.

    1. “use the open-trough washroom standing shoulder-to-shoulder with unhappy looking fans”

The Tailor-Field in Regina smelled so bad you had to hold you breathing until getting back up to your seat, kind of made me an Eskimo Fan..

      1. Joe Louis Arena in Detroit had similar troughs. No biggie. Some old arenas in Canada still have them.

      2. I used to line up shoulder to shoulder with all the fans at Clark Stadium in Edmonton and whiz against the wall with a river of piss running in a gutter in front of it. Quite primitive. Efficient though.

  19. Never watch the NBA, just don’t care. Whoever dunks last wins, big deal.
Gave up on the NFL when the kneeling started, the problems were reflected in the stands, but the league still works because of TV munny for now.
MLB? What a mistake they made, though the politics are not as overt,
NHL? I only care for now until the Nucks are disposed of by Bettmans most preferred team, Vegas. Then, I don’t care at all.
Let pro sports find things out the hard way, as we turn our backs and close our wallets. The Low Infos will always tune in, they have no life, and the gamblers will tune in as well. Eventually, the players will go on strike when revenues dry up as their salaries get cut in half, bang those greedy old white men, when their own, selfish actions are the reason for smaller contracts. Eff them!

  20. Advertisers are getting more savvy as well. They know a large percentage of the population, perhaps the majority, delay watching the game by 30 to 60 minutes so they can skip through the ads. They are redirecting their advertising to more focused and infinitely cheaper online advertising.

Most people under 30 dont watch TV in any traditional sense. They stream everything. Including sports.

  21. “Probably time for each team to have quotas based on race for each team”,,

Yep! black Players dress in Black and only allowed to tackle Black Players, White players in White and only allowed to tackle White. That will even thing out, a white fullback can’t be touched by a Black player… The Teams will have to have an equal number of Black & white players.

The average American is 5’11 & 180 LBS… a fair Game would have to average those numbers such that a 340 LBS DF lineman would be matched by another DL lineman beside him that is 20 lbs … Make for a interesting game were WR’s would have to play in the line

Just tell BUD that you are now buying Rollin-Rock (Best Beer in PA)… Madison Ave will dump the NFL if Sponsors lose money. The TV ratings are used to support the tepid teams like the Shit Hawks

    1. “Black and only allowed to tackle Black Players, white players in white and only allowed to tackle white. ”

No no no, everyone is allowed to tackle whitey, following the tackle the whitey is obliged to confess his/her/zer privilege and apologize. Whitey is not allowed to tackle people of color.

BTW AP has ruled that “Black” gets to be capitalized and “white” does not. So I have fixed the quote for you. Get on with the program man.

  22. A key difference between the NBA and UFC is that the NBA depends on taxpayer dollars to stay afloat and the UFC doesn’t.

Major league sports depend on politicians to build sport stadiums for them, in the mistaken belief that having a major league franchise in your city (and not encouraging entrepreneurs to move in and thugs to move on) makes it “world class.”

The smartest thing Lucien Bouchard ever did was to call the bluff of the Expos when they demanded the Quebec government build them a new baseball stadium with money the province didn’t have. Montreal is still standing, for better or for worse.

  23. The difference between the UFC and the NBA is that Dana White said we’re having fights and everyone get the hell out of my way. He fought ESPN/Disney, the coronabros (as Clay Travis calls them) in sports media, the politicians and even some in his own company and made it happen. Dana White, love him or hate him (and there is a lot to dislike), turned a $2 million brand into a multi-billion dollar corporation by outworking and outhustling everyone else. He is a leader who loves the UFC and runs it like the most important thing in the world.

People like Goodell, Silver and Bettman aren’t leaders. Silver inherited an NBA that David Stern and Michael Jordan built. Goodell inherited a league already at the pinnacle of the sporting world. These guys are managers, placeholders, caretakers appointed by arrogant and out-of-touch billionaires – all tired old men with no skin in the game who are all out of ideas and who seek the path of least resistance. Affected with such poor leaders, these leagues were ripe for the SJW’s and political activists to infect, poison and destroy.

    1. Yep.
No leadership or courage at all.
They know the words, and they have all of the motivational posters, but they are not leaders.
      Men without chests.

  24. I used to be a sports fanatic.
Stopped watching the NBA a few years back when the thug culture took over.
Stopped watching baseball after 2004 strike.
Stopped watching the NFL when it too embraced the thug culture and allowed rapists and murderers to continue to play because of their skin pigment.
Stopped watching NHL this past week when they also went down the rabbit hole.
Was not happy with the CFL diversity crap and lost some interest.
These leagues seem to have all forgotten that it is the white middle class 40 to 60 year old North American that allows them to make billions. They have insulted their main fan base to support criminals and criminal organizations.

    1. … and thus now you have all the time in the word to run around Internets screaming “racist” from the top of your pathetic soyboy lungs.

      1. Not a soy boy fuuctard. I’ve called numerous posters here the racists that they are. Don’t like it too bad little snowflake.

        1. Bitch please, you’re a soyboy and an ungodly spawn or a white knight and a concern troll. Nobody gets offended by you calling them racist. Most just find it amusing. Run along now.

  25. CFL – I have an answer. The Edmonton Oilers last 50-50 draw grossed $ 15 million with $7.5 million for charity. The Edmonton Eunuchs football club are non-profit. Do they do a 50-50? They could use it to keep the team and league league alive.

  26. Sports betting is being replaced; the left seem upset.

“LI Bar Is Taking Bets on Which City Will Have More Shootings Over Labor Day Weekend
The chart, underneath which it says “let the shooting sprees begin,” is set up like a typical Super Bowl pool, with patrons picking the number of shootings each city will see, and winning money if they choose the right numbers”

    https://www.nbcnewyork.com/news/local/li-bar-is-taking-bets-on-which-city-will-have-more-shootings-over-labor-day-weekend/2595507/

Why not bet on Democrat stupidity?
    It’s a growth industry.
