When looking at Black Americans (W/Roots) there is a very large Group that have achieved superior abilities & Elite Status, they are doing well….the other Group were America’s “Middle Class”, but got stuck in Democrat cities when manufacturing left America… They just need JOBS and the cities would come back …..The Black immigrants get stuck in the same Democrat States/Cities

    Ask yourself why Democrat States ignore Black on Black Crime, but go bat- shit crazy if a black man abuses a white women… Why was a Black domestic abuser (Jacob Blake) on the street. I am guessing she was not white.
    Sports athletes are demonized if the victims are white, just a foot note if black….

I remember this classic from a few years ago that had Berkeley racists saying how black people couldn’t vote because they are too dumb to go to the DMV and don’t know how to use the internet among other racist things. Then he went to Harlem and told blacks what these Berkeley kids had to say and they were like “WTF?” Haha.

  5. The left plays the race card regularly. How else will they maintain their control of their coloured base? Currently Trump is threatening that base more than any GOP president since Lincoln. The Democrats have to claim racism as they cannot defend their record in jurisdictions they have ran for decades. They have mostly been failures.

    I do not suggest there is not a race issue in America. Read some Gladwell to get background. Stereotyping is a common social practice that is not always restricted to race. Behavior is more often the determining factor in relationships. My best friend growing up was Mohawk and he was a leader and popular in school. From a single mother family of poor means he was very focused on improving his life and did so in spades. He now owns a company that employs hundreds of people and he donates mega hours to nurturing native entrepreneurs across the USA. My friend and I consider ourselves brothers and 60 years later are still very close.

    People should be judged by their beliefs and actions not their skin colour. IMHO most in society do that. Tearing down history won’t change reality. People taking advantage of division won’t build anything. Many of these people are doing this for their own advantage.

  7. That video described much of what’s been going on in the church for at least the last 40 years. Apologizing and hand-wringing has taken on the status of a sacrament and, of course, once is never enough. White Christians are expected to be in a perpetual state of guilt, from which there will never be relief.

    Had I been in the congregation shown near the beginning of that clip, I would have walked out and never come back.

    1. Phony mea culpas make a mockery of genuine repentance and apologies. It’s become a farce.
      BTW, there is nothing inherently true or universal about the concept of collective guilt or inherited guilt.

      This is the point that astute observers make about the contrast between the Religion (and it is!) of Wokeism and real Christian religions: that with the latter, REDEMPTION is sought and achievable; with the former, no matter the sincerity and intensity of the stuggle, redemption is not possible. There is no purgatory.

The exception is for celebrity liberals who cleanse themselves of all their sins by making a tepid public confession. (“I’m some no-talent Hollywood actor. I confess that I’m white and privileged. Perhaps it would have been a bit more realistic and even a wee bit acceptable and fair if these progressive who are apologizing for perceived wrong doing against the American Black people then asked the Black people in that congregation to apologize to white people for all the street crime and family abandonment they put upon white society to deal with.

    My own view is … stop the apologizing and just treat everyone based on the content of their character. Much of the Black community is educated nowadays or at least they are not bumpkins fresh off the plantation. I know that because there is a growing number of Black people figuring things out and becoming conservative or at least supporters of Trump who will do more them by providing a rich job market and school choice. Maybe even safe streets. And an end to multi-generational welfare.

    1. Yes, a robust economy that creates “grow the pie” jobs for Middle America is key. Fix this and a lot of other problems go away or become manageable.

      2. Uhm , sorta. Unless and until “ghetto minded” blacks do a mental rethink of their depraved behaviors, they’ll keep having run-ins with the police and getting shot dead. I’m TIRED of the discussion centering exclusively on “white racism” when all of the crime statistics point to the opposite. Whites commit some 50k crimes against blacks every year, while blacks commit 560,000k crimes against us. The rape statistics are equally lopsided in the same direction. I’m disgusted as to how this gets swept under the rug by whites. I don’t care to live in the North American version of South Africa. When is someone besides Colin Flaherty going to stand up and talk about this?

  10. Yesterday on Althouse, there is a thread written by the host of a party. He noticed one of his guests was photographing a flag he had in his living room. When he inquired as to what was going on, it turns out that the guest was planning to denounce him for displaying a Confederate flag. Except, oops, it wasn’t the Stars and Bars, it was a Union Jack, not that this should matter. Now, I have no idea if this story is true or a hoax, but if true, I do find it depressing. Up til now I hoped Americans were smarter than that but I’m not so sure.
    So don’t get cocky, there are a bunch of very stupid people in our population. In the mean time, I’m hoping and praying this ignorant woman is not a teacher. I’ve noticed that teachers and social workers are well represented among the “protestors”.

  11. I’ve had a saying that goes something similar to MLK’s famous quote. Mine is a little more earthy than the great man’s, it goes something along the lines of “everyone is an jackass until they prove otherwise”. The past four years has proven the validity of this in spades err…in Trumps. The people that want to get ahead are willing to work and persevere to get ahead, the others are more interested in what they can take for the moment. The Republicans under Trump want everyone to build a better America, the Democrats under Obama/Biden want everyone to feel guilty about how great America was/is, and how they are owed something. When you come into this world you are not owed anything, in America under the Constitution you are guaranteed life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness, it is then up to you to work to make that happen without impinging on other’s pursuit of happiness, life and liberty.

  12. One of my friends went on an apology rant a few years back. She insisted in posting a Facebook post about how sorry she was for the residential schools and the harm they did to our indigenous people. She urged me to do the same. She asked me why I was refusing and I told her – point blank. Most of that crap went on before I was born and the last residential school closed when I was a young man long before I knew anything about them. I was horrified when I found out the details but I personally had nothing to apologize for. I asked her why she was apologizing. She was a new immigrant to Canada who had only been living here for about five years. Her reply was that the residential school thing was so sad it made her feel better to apologize. As a White person she owed it to apologize to the indigenous people for the sins of other White people so she could stop feeling guilty and feel better about herself. It was never about the indigenous people. It was about making her feel better.

      You could have added that the belief of the day was that Indians were thought to be savages in need of education and redemption; that the idea of the schools was honourable in that mileu.

      You could also have added that when FREE DOUGH for the asking was announced, the ‘horrors’ were probably greatly exaggerated.

    2. I equate those apologetic woke poseurs in that Church to the incessant public acknowledgements of events and meetings being held on the traditional territory of (fill in the Indian band). The goals of both are to nurture white guilt for selective examples of historical events that no living person is responsible for.

    The implication is that by his mumble-mouthed confession was enough for him to redeem himself but what about O’Toole, hmmmmm?
