      1. That is true. I find that parking behavior is a perfect indication of assholishness in general.

    1. I love that it’s starting to take out Hollywood scumbags now too. Suck it Hollywood you created it now own it.

    2. You don’t have to delve into history, it is currently standard operating procedure within the federal government bureaucracy. All employees are classified as is the general population. What to do about “hybrids” is an increasingly contentious issue.

“The visible minority variable includes data for 13 derived groups: South Asian, Chinese, Black, Filipino, Latin American, Arab, Southeast Asian, West Asian, Korean, Japanese, Visible minority, n.i.e., Multiple visible minorities and Not a visible minority (‘Not a visible minority’ includes respondents who reported ‘Yes’ to the Aboriginal identity question as well as respondents who were not considered to be members of a visible minority group)”

  1. Ah, a composer I’d never heard of before and from one of my favourite periods of musical history, too. He seems to be rather obscure as I found only one recording of his works on Amazon.

Mind you, Lavotta was a contemporary of musicians like Mozart, Franz Joseph and Michael Haydn, Salieri, and Beethoven, so I’m not surprised if he was overlooked.

As for the music itself, delightful!

  2. Einstein had the unified field theory. Woke progressives may now have the quantum leap theory – every new thing that goes wrong is due to climate change. Every existing thing that is wrong is the fault of white men. A character from Marvel comics tied them together:

NASA scientist Dr. Kate Marvel links ‘climate change’ to ‘white supremacy’

    https://www.climatedepot.com/2020/06/02/nasa-scientist-dr-kate-marvel-links-climate-change-to-white-supremacy-well-never-head-off-climate-catastrophe-without-dismantling-white-supremacy-calls-for-climate-racial-justic/

You can’t make this !@#$ up.

PS This Kate looks like Climate Barbie

    1. That’s not surprising. The American Association for the Advancement of Science has gone whole-hog SJW, insisting that science must be political.

I glanced at the editorial of a recent issue of its flagship publication Science and the editor-in-chief went so far as to say that science in America is in danger. Why? For one thing, Trump “denies” climate change and, worse, Pence, being a Christian, believes that the world is something like 6000 years old.

When I joined the AAAS, Carter had been in office for less than a year. He never hid his beliefs, yet I don’t recall him ever being criticized by Science for them.

My membership is coming up for renewal, so maybe it’s time to call it quits. Being a member for more than 40 years is a pretty good run, don’t you think?

      1. B. A. D. – 40 years is a good run. Not many ten year old boys buy a subscription to a periodical 😉 . The science angle is an old trick. The first thing CBC did when Stockwell Day ran for the leadership of the Reform Parts was ask him how old the earth is. They try to paint conservatives as knuckle draggers who are unscientific, unenlightened, unwoke. They see Socialists as being the opposite. They really hated Maggie Thatcher, and still do. They even hate Joe Rogan. The CBC mentioned him as being offensive to “so many people”. Amazing.

        1. Not many ten year old boys buy a subscription to a periodical .

You’re a few years shy but I take your point.

Actually, I think there might have been a minimum age limit back then, but I don’t remember. Besides, a membership was, and still is, quite expensive, so even as a schoolboy, I wouldn’t have joined because I couldn’t have afforded it with my weekly allowance.

Science is divided into two sections. One is devoted to research publications. The other is news, articles, and commentary and that’s where the journal’s gone off the rails. Now, it seems that every issue has an article that’s devoted to “climate change” or some MeToo incident (complete with lurid details) and, now, “racism”. I can get all that elsewhere and for next to no cost.

          1. I used to like Quirks and Quarks on Saturday morning radio. My university roommate “Sonar” listened every week.
A year or two ago I heard a young woman guest-“scientist” say, in reference to gender identity, that “We now know that science includes feelings”. If I didn’t hear Bob McDonald’s voice I would have guessed I was listening to “This is That”.

          2. I stopped listening to Q & Q several years ago because it kept blathering on about “climate change” as if it was consistently verified fact.

    2. Even though Einstein coined the phrase and worked on it for many years, he couldn’t solve it.
No one has. There is no commonly accepted model that links the four interactions. But point taken.
The GISS (so-called Goddard Institute for Space Studies) has nothing to do with the actual NASA. It is located in U. of Columbia. Its primary purpose is to promote the myth of anthropogenic global warming. It was headed by the infamous James Hansen for over 30 years. It is currently headed by his disciple Gavin Schmidt. Why President Trump allows it to continue besmirching the name of NASA and supported by taxpayers, I have no idea.
This creature is a confirmed warmist acolyte. She has nothing to do with the great tradition of NASA. Her thesis is totally invalid because one of her underlying assumptions is garbage. There is no coming climate catastrophe. Whatever else she says does not matter.

      1. – and I was led to believe that one of the Donald’s early actions was to lay smackdown on NASA, to the effect: “You’re NASA. You’re supposed to be studying SPACE. So what are you doing wasting taxpayer dollars studying EARTH, and more to-the-point, why are you pontificating on GLOBAL WARMING??? We have other government agencies that are paid to do that – get back to your primary job!” Left unspoken, ” – or you’re fired!”

I love the Donald when he pulls-on the sh1t-kickers! But seriously, DJT; a boot in the @$$ instead of the historical Beltway attitude-adjustment, a back-alley dagger to the kidneys? No wonder Washington hates you.

    3. The link between racism-visible minority/poverty and climate change is the New Battlefront.
      They have joined forces.
Add in the misandrist neo-Marxists and you have the Axis of Evil.
Any white couples who have young children, but especially boys, are in for a severely depressing future.
If they keep gaining power at this rate there are radicals out there who will probably seek to sterilize them.

      1. “If they keep gaining power at this rate there are radicals out there who will probably seek to sterilize them.”
        Within the realm of possibility.

  3. Watch the media (NDP/teachers union) and government two-step on the Alberta return to school and masks.

    1. AB govt =Kids should go back to school!
    Media: they need masks!

    2. AB govt= okay masks, 2 per kid
Media: you can’t order them in time.

    3. AB govt=nah, we anticipated this, they’ve been on order for a while.
Media:. But they’re made in China and Mexico!
    https://globalnews.ca/news/7264331/alberta-masks-school-children-made-in-china-mexico/

Me: I’m pretty sure 90%+ of our medical PPE is made in China AND I thought we liked Mexico now that we are back in Freeland’s NAACPQ2+ Free Trade Agreement

  4. I have a question for the commenters here at SDA.

In Canada, if a major city were to defund the police, would the RCMP or Provincial police forces (or just the RCMP) be able to step in and provide for urban safety?

I’m thinking of Vancouver given its proximity to Seattle.

My feeling is that we are much closer to significant disorder than many places in the US if we embrace a great awokening.

    https://thepostmillennial.com/breaking-woke-city-council-forces-seattles-first-black-female-police-chief-to-resign

    1. Disorder eventually brings about uber order, not unlike a fascist state, not unlike East Germany.
Antifa, BLM, Climate Crusaders and Krazy Karens are bringing it good and hard.

      1. And those who notice too early must be silenced.
        https://wattsupwiththat.com/2020/08/09/npr-fires-weatherman-for-comparing-seattle-riots-to-germany-in-1938-on-his-personal-blog/

History repeats. That’s why the progressives don’t want it taught effectively. This time it’s in the name of black racists, though it’s the same brownshirts and blackshirts as in the past.

Why? There’s a lot of money to be made riding the decline if you know when it’s going to happen. George Soros has made a living at it, and is a major funder of progressive causes today. The useful idiots don’t plan that far ahead. They’re in it to be important, and for the occasional chance to loot.

    2. Dunno about B.C or RCMP, but here in Ontario if the OPP are contracted to provide policing, they charge the municipality for it, so it would be a wash.

    3. If a major city defunds their police force that city gets to enjoy the peaceful protesters that have enhanced places like Portland.

If they are foolish enough to do it, I strongly encourage the “protesters” to demonstrate up in Rosemount or Westmount, or especially in Mont Royal.

    1. That would be a big mistake: https://www.bbc.com/news/science-environment-52582243
‘We can’t self-isolate from climate change’
A quote: Drawing bleak parallels with the pandemic, Mr Turnbull said Covid-19 was a case of “biology confronting and shaking the complacency of day-to-day politics with a physical reality of sickness and death”.

Strange, I thought COVID originated in the Wuhan, Chinah virology lab, man made and spread by sicko Chinamen to make sure nobody escaped from their sloppy gate keeping back home. In essence, asymmetric warfare, economic or otherwise. Plus Sock Buoy admires their basic dictatorship.

      1. “We can’t self-isolate from climate change”

        – Why can’t we? Climate Barbie said global warming was happening faster in Canada than anywhere else – so carrying LIEberal logic on to its furthest ridiculous conclusion, why would it not be happening faster at individual households? Or even individual people?

        I think I’ll declare myself a global warming disaster area… /s

  5. Post Media Ottawa Citizen has two articles on the front page citing angry speech being investigated for Hate Speech.

    First is Climate/Infrastructure Barbie:
    https://ottawacitizen.com/news/local-news/ottawa-police-investigating-invective-laced-verbal-assault-aimed-at-mp-catherine-mckenna/wcm/e18313af-3d11-46ba-b3d6-fe54092ac5fc/
In the article she also attacks unspecified social media sites for not censoring. Have not seen the video, but the description sounds like he was swearing a lot, but didn’t hear no threats beyond “what they deserve”.

Second is a man charged with Hate Motivated Mischief.
    https://ottawacitizen.com/news/man-charged-with-hate-motivated-mischief-in-downtown-sign-waving-incident/wcm/f11b3fec-1f34-435d-b334-0f119c14afb4/
Not enough info to determine what was on the sign or what was he yelling. My concern is the charge, sounds pretty open to abuse.

    Public censoring coming?

  6. The bought and paid for media continue to rant this morning about Infrastructure Barbie. Apparently that is more serious than the daily shootings in diverse Toronto.

  7. Lilley at the Toronto Sun website, writes about Great Leader’s wonderful vacation last weekend on Georgian Bay. At taxpayer expense of course.

    1. Remember when Mike Duffy visited his daughter while on a business trip to BC? Weren’t criminal charges involved? Mind you he was a Conservative. He was vindicated. Trudeau does theft in gargantuan proportions but it is okay because he is Liberal.

  8. A full article about the above tweet on this thread — that the wondrous Mark Carney might be replacing the less-than-wondrous Bill Morneau:
    https://www.theglobeandmail.com/politics/article-finance-minister-bill-morneau-could-be-replaced-over-clashes-with/

One can suppose that our Rt. Hon. Justin Trudeau is about to give the much maligned Bill Morneau the heave ho — after all, Morneau’s family received gifts of monetary value from the WE Charity, and ones family receiving money from anyone, while in Cabinet, is a strict in Trudeau s eyes. But fear not, the wondrous Mark Carney =- rich, a big-L Liberal and highly learned in the ways of socially-progressive thought — is waiting in the wings. He is writing a book on the new, non-oil economy, and advices the United Nations on such things.

Mark Carney is the perfect replacement for Mr. Morneau. We await the constant chatter amongst the bought-for media, about this exciting change to our federal body politic. One inside-boy for another inside-boy. One can see the CBC News panellists enthralled by it all, now. Great. /s

    1. Awk! The phrase “…is a strict in Trudesu’s eyes…” should read “…is a strict no-no in Trudeau’s eyes …”.

The mistake in the above post was my pc computer’s fault, not mine. /s

    2. I have another theory on Carney and rumours that they want to have him replace Morneau.
If he really was going to be ushered in then it wouldn’t be a rumour, he would be announcing the by-election where he was running for the nomination.
It was a spoon fed rumour to the Ottawa pundits and would have originated from Telford if it was the desire of the PMO.
If it didn’t come from Telford, it originated from those in the liberal party looking for a change.
Which brings me to my theory.
I don’t think this one came from Telford, and it was done not to promote Carney, it was done to sow divisions in the cabinet.
If Morneau has to go does it not obligate anyone else guilty of the same offence should resign as well. It then extends that there would be the requirement to posit a serious placeholder for intern leader.
Now who could possibly fill those shoes?

    3. Re: Marc Carney…”is writing a book on the new, non-oil economy, and advises the United Nations on such things.”
      From DM @ 7:26 am

I have a theory that when someone is writing a book they’re gunning for the top job as Prime Minister.

  9. According to his schedule, our Great Leader is back on the holiday trail somewhere in Ontario. I wonder if he is back at Georgian Bay, and how much is this trip going to cost us?

    1. It’s peanuts not worth the internet traffic.

What does matter is that he keeps throwing hundreds of millions out the window, and nice, soft-bellied, red-footed Khanadians just demand the resignation of Bill Morneau, where any sane person should demand his instantaneous arrest and criminal trial. I do demand it! Khanada is pathetic.

Why does everyone allow themselves to be distracted with insignificant and ignores the big picture?

  10. A “Red Deer Man” has been charged with the murder of a doctor. I will give you one guess after seeing his name what religion and country he came from. Thanks Justin.

  11. Just in: DNC confirms Kamala Harris as VP pick. The announcement was delayed because Joe was napping, so was not yet told.

    https://www.cnn.com/politics/live-news/2020-election-biden-vp-pick/index.html

I see a problem, going all in for a constituency you say you rule; or do you? Too bad Kamala isn’t their black saviour, far from it.

“In the end, Kamala Harris left the race largely because she couldn’t secure the critical black support any black presidential candidate must have. Contrary to arguments centering on pragmatism, most black folk didn’t reject her because they thought she couldn’t win. They didn’t support her because they didn’t trust her. And they were wise not to.”

    https://www.courier-journal.com/story/opinion/2019/12/11/kamala-harris-couldnt-secure-black-support-race-president/4390457002/

    1. Well the potential president won’t need an intern to wash his cigar. Just axe Willie Brown.

  12. I wonder what boyfriend she will bring to the White House. Will she dump her current shackups when she becomes president half way through Dementia Joe’s term?

  13. CBC is really excited at Dementia Joe’s pick. Big discussion on the CBC on how cool and wonderful she is. Just like our Justin.
