The shady history of a phone number used to set up a sham protest.

Days after Meng’s arrest on Dec. 1, 2018, China detained two Canadians, former diplomat Michael Kovrig and entrepreneur Michael Spavor. They remain in prison and have now been charged with spying. China denies the cases against the pair are tied to Meng’s arrest.
 
Just outside the Vancouver courthouse, a small group of mostly young protesters held handwritten signs that said, among other things, “Free Ms Meng.”
 
Media from around the world were there, including CCTV, China’s largest news agency. It showed images of the protest and reported that “on the day of the hearing, local people gathered outside the court calling for the release of Meng.”

  1. Why do I question that CBC researched this Story… The CBC supports open Borders & International Law. They have zero problems with immigration FRAUD… They employee questionable character’s… Nope this is a fake story that has some nasty explanation… A relationship gone bad between lesbians?

  2. It’s old news that the CCP controls most of the Chinese diaspora in Canada, Australia, US.

    Some, because no matter what they think of the CCP China will always be home and where their loyalties are.
    They always remain hyphenated Canadians and Canada a country of convenience .
    The other lot are those Chinese living in Canada with family still in China (that’s all of them). The CCP can arrange for them to be anywhere anytime demonstrating on demand.
    The possible harassment easily visited upon uncle and cousins back home is endless.
    Why is anyone surprised?

      1. Yeah, but they love China and will support it thick and thin. An attack on the CCP is too often seen as a cultural attack on China.

      2. Correct on the first statement. They hate the CCP, but they have family there still, and the CCP hold the relatives of those scattered across the earth as collateral to ensure that they do the Commie’s biddings, such as “protest” like this. The people of China know that the use of torture and very nasty ways to kill people with as much pain as possible is waiting for those still on Mainland China if commands are not followed.
        They hate but they are obligated.

        The Masters of Cruelty and psychological warfare at a depth not far from hell itself.

  10. What’s missing from this story is the part about a police investigation and the arrest of Joey. If the authorities don’t investigate and prosecute then they are condoning it.

    Once they are released send ALL chinamen back to china and close the border.They brought us and the rest of the world the CCP flu(imho on purpose)
    My wife told me today that she was shopping with 2 friends and they looked at a product they thought about buying and saw made in china and put it back. Hopefully a movement is starting to boycot ALL chinese products.
    My personal action (apart from not buying china products if I can help it) is to not patronize any chinese business including and especially restaurants. And I really like chinese food. And it wouldn’t bother me one bit if the dam burst.

  15. I can’t emigrate to China (or Japan or a lot of countries) and “become” Chinese. Not ever.
    But anyone can come to most western democratic countries and jump into the pot. And that’s ok if its a melting pot.
    When everybody’s culture becomes equal and Liberal fuckstick K-becers are in charge and want the post-nation destroyed, they create a multi-cultural society.
    That’s when the “ex-pats” turn success into turmoil or, as is the case with Chicoms, plan on taking over. Even if it takes a century or two.

    1. Not just kberers. look around, everyone except the white man keeps their “identity”. We have to conform, not the “others”. We have to accept a multicultural society that is busy destroying our “identity”.

  17. Everything about the POV mothercorp presented ignores the elephant in the room while looking right at it.

    Even with the evidence hitting them in the face like a proverbial metaphor, they still can’t grasp what is obvious to someone with operative brain synapses. Canadians are considered to be gullible fools that will always believe, no matter how often they get screwed over, that everyone loves Canada, with one exception.
    When it comes to self perception and the orthodoxy of anti-America. We have this century’s old misconception that was perpetrated by dispossessed loyalist refugees that truly believed the United States would fall into anarchy and it would only be a matter of time before the poxy rebels would be begging their betters to come back and re-establish order.
    Bit of digression to the point, the world sees us as a nation in the thrall of a delusion. One where our betters see the world as Canada as the pinnacle of the really nice people juxtaposed to those awful bombastic pushy ugly Americans. The world sees Canada as a naive pretentious court follower eager to curry favour by going along to get along, particularly if it involves undermining the US.
    The bad actors in the world know they can get away with bad faith behaviour here if they fit the profile and they do it all the time, just as described in this random piece of journalism.
    In a normal world, the perp would have been deported long ago.
    In Canada the establishment wants to think it’s something to do with some “ism” or “ist” so it must be some kind of misunderstanding why this is happening, just a case of mistaken identity and a cell phone number. No organized conspiracy here folks.
    Just look at the socks and remember this is the new normal.

    It’s right there on the main picture. Middle sign, front and center. “Trump stop bullying us”

    I have noticed in the last 2 or so months, the headline\leader\main pic includes an attack on Trump… while the main story is anything but. Seems a new tactic of the MSM. If I have noticed it… then it’s probably a thing.

    In other words, the propaganda is in the headline. Which is vaguely related to the actual story. Call me crazy, but that one pic, middle sign, is why you are seeing this at the CBC.
