This Is Awkward

Holy Crap.It seems like the hackers got access to “Twitter Panel”, which is basically hacking one of the Twitter admins/employees. This gives direct admin access to accounts and allows individuals to chance e-mail & password.

Update: Twitter Appears to Lock All Verified Accounts From Tweeting Amid Massive Hack

  1. Don’t look at me, I deleted Twitter years ago.

Get woke, go broke. I have no sympathy for anyone who still has an account.

  2. I don’t get what this is about…reading the thread, it seems accounts are being hacked and the accounts are offering bitcoin, but when I search for those accounts on twitter, none of them seem to be hacked? Maybe it’s Casey Newton’s computer/device/account that has been hacked/infected and it’s showing him fake tweets?

  3. All blue check accounts are apparently locked now. Must be a pretty big hack.

  4. It’d be a shame if there were some compromising DMs between journalists and Biden or something.

    1. We’d need a whole new Muh Russia conspiracy to come spewing out of the FBI … right?

    2. Bingo – James – Hillary, Obama a whole ton of Dems. Id bet those would be worth quite a bit to keep quiet

  5. “I didn’t write that post, someone hacked my account” is going to sound more plausible now.

    1. Maybe that’s the whole point. One day’s minor inconvenience is a small price to pay to provide political cover to all of Twitter Inc’s progressive “allies.”

  6. If someone on Twitter, especially a millionaire, says they’ll give you double the cash you send them you deserve to lose your money.
Stupid Twits is as stupid Twits does.

  7. They are attacking Zuckerburg’s business. This is about the boycott and it wouldn’t surprise me if it was an inside job.

  8. This is from carpe donktum over on parler:

” These are the things that these Twitter hackers would have needed to pull this off.

All of these accounts USE two step verification, therefore they would need one of the following.

High level admin access to Twitter servers to either simply post as a user or at the very least access to the secure key to clone their authenticator (plus password)

Root level access to a HIGH PROFILE third party app server, something like a Microsoft, apple, etc to be able to send messages via an authorized plug-in.

Direct access to their accounts via a shared social media management company.

This was not a dude in their basement running a brute force attack.

This was a highly coordinated attack from a Nationstate.”

    1. “This was a highly coordinated attack from a Nationstate.”

This sounds like the beginnings of the official narrative being planted already. Why a nation state? Why not a group of hackers? An insider? An organized crime group? A competitor? I’m not buying the “this could only have been a hostile foreign nation!” nonsense.

      1. As I recall they said the same about what turned out to be a single Romanian cab driver.

  9. AWESOME. FCK TWATTER!

This looks to be huge, in your face, and overdue slap back at that fascist IT firm

    Looks GOOD on them!

  10. So the DM’s could be read and screenshotted then. They were in Bidens twitter? Celebrities twitters? If nothing comes out showing explosive DMs then this was only about spreading a bitcoin scam so idiots would get scammed and help the cause to regulate and turn bitcoin into the same as regular currency (controlled and tracked by banks and government). I just still use cash all the time. Cash transactions are just as easy to do like back in the 80s. Then every single fricken use of your money isn’t recorded and tracked by your bank.

  11. Here is another thought. With the censorship of so many conservative tweets/ideas and a new platform as an alternative, could “Q” be the driving force to push twitter out?
I’m thinking the timing is good with plenty of time before the US election and A good old smack down of the little birdy feels good for everyone that moves over.
    Just my thought. Wood spider

    1. Can you sense the panic in his tweets?
It could be Q-team, but it could also be a repeat of the russia hoax.

  12. Here’s another angel to the tempest.

Is this a takedown by the MSM/Deep State/Homoglobal force to lock Trump from being able to communicate with the masses without Media? Trump has devastated the MSM via Twatter.

Without it Trump is not able to slap and punch back like he has. When he puts out tweets which skewer his enemies, the knife cuts deep, makes them bleed and causes the MSM to have to fact check and run cover or disinformation.

Was someone getting too close to some fatally damaging information which needs to remain as quiet as long as possible?

  13. Is this about isolating President Trump ? Or does this have something to do with the Epstein fiasco, info that could soon be made public ? I think a lot of movers, shakers and celebrities might be very concerned about things that may be revealed by Maxwell.

  14. Big Brother has a Bigger Brother possibly,,could be the very same dudes that invented the internet in 1969, and no kiddies and lieberals,, it wasn’t Algore,, he didn’t even invent those algorythems!

  15. The right people already have all the Epstein info. They’ve had it for years.
Trump is bigger than Twitter he can use any media he wants.
Crash twitter and burn it to dust.

  16. Not being a twit, I’ve never tweeted. I try not to wade into mosquito and gator infested swamps either. Looks like the right choice from where I’m standing.

    1. Thomas, when twitter first started I said something similar , only twits tweet. I was castigated for saying that in a thread discussing President Trumps tweets. While would indeed vote for President Trump, I thought and still think he should back off them. He did make good use of the platform but now it is time for him to re-asses and use another format or two or three different ones.

  17. This is an extremely serious breach of Twitter’s security systems

This assumes Twitter’s security systems are serious, which they aren’t.

The biggest problem with social media right now is everyone – left, right, whatever – assuming social media is more important than it is.
