Juxtapose: @JustinTrudeau’s family gets $300,000 for speaking at WE. Canadian singer @JullyBlack says WE told her it doesn’t pay for WE appearances, still performed because she made commitment though mom was gravely ill. Says WE wouldn’t even pay $100 for phone calls.
I would like to comment but the scam is big and connected politically. No matter how much proof is ever shown nothing will be done because the liberals are crooked beyond belief. I guess I commented. When nobody thinks critically or logically there is no way to fix anything.
I think what might be happening is that there are liberals right now trying to find a plausible excuse for this.
What’s problematic for them is that the reality of the situation confirms the contentions of their critics.
That leaves them with excuses that all start with, “well we know it was wrong, but”.
When they start on that path it deconstructs their narrative of liberal good, conservatives the anti christ. It deconstructs their narrative because their guy keeps going on about how bad everybody else is.

I’ve never understood why one ‘charity’ can donate to another ‘charity’. If they have money to give away then they have too much excess cash. Logrolling charities do a disservice to the concept of charitable giving.
Understand your concern, but there are reasons this happens. With church organizations (think United Church, Anglican) where there is a national structure, money will flow from the individual parishes through to the national body, as it is essentially only at the local level where donations are received. Also, a charity may give a donation to another charity to fund certain activities which it (the first charity) supports but doesn’t have the resources to do with their own people.
That being said, this whole situation does NOT pass the smell test. Apart from anything else, there seems to be a disproportionate amount of money being invested in real estate in Canada. Would also really like to see the expense statements for the various rally-type events – let’s start with the one in England that Sophie attended.
