WE-Pay

Featured Comment from alecincgy;

WE.org are embedded in the K-12 system, I had no idea how or what WE-DAY was until last year when it came up talking to one of my kids.

From the financials on the WE website for 2019 they collected $2.3M from governments and a staggering $15.5M from youth. 10% of revenue was spent on admin ($6.5M).

https://www.we.org/en-CA/about-we/we-charity/governance/financial-reports

That nice round 10% spent on admin seems high to me. They are proud of their 10% (from their FAQ’s). By comparison the Canadian Red Cross runs at 3% and they provide sweeping services across the country. Other excellent charaties are even more efficiently administered.
Here is MacLeans list of the top 100 charaties in Canada. I can’t see WE on the list.

It seems the WE.org expenditures are education and WE projects. They don’t carry reserve cash, they invest in real estate and then mortgage when necessary.

I honestly hope that with such high annual revenue ($57.9M) that they help large numbers of people (besides the deeply unfortunate Trudeaus and their cronies of course). What would they have done with $900M, or even the $90M in administrative costs (at 10%)?

  1. The Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) needs to audit every single transaction the WE Charity has made from day one. This whole setup stinks to high heaven.

    1. You do realize this is Canada?
More chance of CRA going after trust funds like those used by the Trudeau and Morneau families.
Be careful though, apparently it’s easy to forget your chateau in the south of France.
CRA has more Liberals than the CBC.
      Yes, that bad.

      To paraphrase Ronnie:

With enthusiastic support from the Liberal Party’s base of Quebec Separatists, Toronto Socialists, Sexually Frustrated women voters and of course, the Liberals most loyal and stalwart ally, the disgraceful, embarrassing, Liberal-loving Canadian Media.

    2. They try blinding people with their mission statement.

This entire organisation and the Liberal Party are exercises in grift.

Consider that Sir John A. Macdonald, whose statues are defaced, was brought down for much less.

  2. “…. From the financials on the WE website for 2019 they collected $2.3M from governments …. ”

Baaahhh, peanuts. These guys are rank amateurs compared to the super slurpers like Ducks Unlimited Canada.

    1. I remember back when people actually cared, or even understood government spending.
Back when the Canadian Media didn’t parrot Liberal talking points.
Back before all government spending became “investments”.
And all Media became Liberal Government Media.

The Parasite Book was 220 pages long, single spaced by recipient.
Probably over a 1000 pages now.
And it doesn’t matter if it’s thousands, millions, billions or trillions; Canadians, purposely under-educated and misinformed, just see zeros.
There is no such thing as shame or disgrace in Canada.
      Lots of inaction, as usual.
Heck, comatose as usual is more like it.

      1. Ducks Unlimited Canada sucked about $23 million out of taxpayers way back in 2011. That’s about 10 times what the Klingonburgers siphoned.

Go on the CRA website, find the charities list, and enter the name in the search area. When it pops up, click on the highlighted name. Click the year you want and then click on detailed financial info. It’s been sucking mega-millions for years.

        1. What does Ducks Unlimited do to get that kind of money? They must do something?

          Legit question.

          1. I’m sure the klingonburgers could convince the public that they did something for the money too.

  3. And brain dead Kanuckistanians will continue to vote for these criminals. “Because he’s a dreamy dream boat!”

    1. Just think of all those guys from the early 20th century who said,”Give the vote to all women and how long will it be before we are governed by good-looking, empty headed news anchor types that have no brains, no balls, no accomplishments, no ideas, no policies yet have great hair.”

Is it too late to build a statue for those eerily accurate Nostradamus’s?

Can’t wait until Canadian men get some similar exciting choices like Scarlett Johansson or Pamela Anderson. (neither I find very attractive)

      Which begs the question.
Are there any hot Canadian women?
      If so, who?

      1. Are there any hot Canadian women?

Yup! My favorites are, Lexa Doig, (Actress played the interactive avatar Romy, on the Andromeda sci fi show, a doctor on Stargate SG1, and is half Philipino half Canadian )
        Shania Twain, Country singer.
Carrie Anne Moss, (Actress, played Neo’s girlfriend in the Matrix movie series.)
Rachel Nichols, (Actress, played a cop transported back to present day from the future, can’t remember the name of the series, but shot in Vancouver about ten years ago, Lexa Doig also in that show, and played a Kung Fu badass from the future that Nichols was chasing.)

Sorry, I have a bias for brunettes, and cheesy Sci Fi shows. 🙂

        1. I liked Grace Park in the re-booted Battlestar Galactica when she played a Cylon. Then I saw her in other shows and realized that was the range of her acting ability.

        1. Now were crossing into a new category. Hot political women.

          Help me out here…..maybe I better ‘phone a friend’…..

      2. Are there any hot Canadian women?

If you allow for 4 legs and a tail, I’ll offer the long-haired miniature dachshunds that my parents had. All of them were absolutely gorgeous females born in B. C. The last two grew to be cuddly enough that my mother referred to them as her “fat little ladies”.

    2. With a nose like a (small) squashed potato, a permanent duckface ,an underbite, topped off with a lisp.. Ladies, smarten up!!

  4. Ftom the We website “We are hiring a BIPOC woman educator with experience in assisting organizations in diversity and inclusion, anti-racism, and BIPOC empowerment.”

Anyone know what BIPOC is? They use the term a lot. I went to the Web site to get a sense of what they do. It was not very informative.

      1. Um’ that’s racist isn’t it? A job posting should be open to all people with the required abilities, by specifically stating BIPOC they should be reprimanded. Nah, they’re to busy misappropriating funds!

        1. I’m sure one reason post-secondary education is in such a mess is that job ads for academic positions are worded in such a way that they effectively say “White heterosexual conservative Christian men need not apply”.

    1. Never mind. Looks like I have been out of the loop. BIPOC is a group formed to fight “white supremacy” Must be another Marxist group. Quote from CBC article:
“We can’t be at the dinner table where your racist parents are telling you that black people aren’t equal.”
This is nonsense. Can anyone imagine someone saying this? The assumption is about 40 years out of date. But it is necessary to make up examples of racism when convincing real world examples are harder to come by. Kids are being manipulated by this and turned into radicals. Keilbergers, and your taxes are promoting this racial division. I am sick of the one-sided narrative (blaming white supremacy) that does not solve problems — actually makes them worse. Blaming white supremacy for the circumstances of Blacks and others, promotes a victim mentality and does not provide motivation for responsible behavior. It is socially very damaging — most of all to visible minorities.

      1. well stated Linda, see my post on the Khmer Noir item on today’s SDA. I kind of got on my soapbox about this racism idiocy, but it felt good to vent:)

  6. But it’s for Prinz Dummkopf’s children, and always has been. Imagine poor Hadrian going to school at Upper Snooty Elitist Private Academy For The Rich and Entitled and being the only one there without a Lamborghini in his dormitory parking stall. Imagine all the teasing and harassment he’ll endure and how that will affect him when he becomes Prime Minister.

    1. Well, the Trudeau family cottage is controlled by a trust that is registered as a woodlot operation.

No doubt young Hadrian will spend many hours in the woods with dad, helping increase the family fortune.

Just like Petro-Canada shareholders did before him.

      1. If you was smart and quick thinking and good at what you do, you’da made money off PetroCan. I did. Even bought their shares. They even gave away shares for $10 when they went public. Sold mine for $25. Paid for my current abode and almost 10 years of earnings, working contract for them. I drilled their wells. They were some of the nicest folks I worked for, among others in The Patch. They were westerners. Tronna is asshoe. Kaybec, well it speaks volumes about ingrates/sore losers. Lived both places, so I know.
Suncor acquired their assets. I used to do work for Suncor, too and a whole host of Canadian oil and gas companies, from Manitoba to BC and points in between. Zentrul Kanaduh has had their noses bent outta shape for decades ’cause oil, or gas wasn’t found in Ontario or Kaybec in appreciable quantities and they didn’t kontrol the stuff out west, even though they’ve been trying since 1905. Sucks to be you Zentrul Kanaduh. Change your attitude. You can catch more flies with honey than with vinegar. The proof of that is the push forWEXIT.

        1. I think Pierre’s daddy made a cool 52 million when the government formed petro can. No whores like old whores. Screwing Canadians runs in the family.

          1. The shenanigans that went on in forming PetroCan was the source of a couple of books. PET was an insider trader and should have seen jail time, but you know wink, wink, nod, nod say no more. If you wanted the inside track on “government” graft and shenanigans, emulated by PetroCan’s formation, follow Cameco and the uranium industry and their ties to the NDP government of Saskatchewan and uranium production in Saskatchewan. I think Petro Canada was modeled after that crown corporation.
I worked for Saskatchewan Mining and Development Corporation (a Sask Government crown corp at the time) before they morphed into Cameco and the stock market. Government thuggery at it’s best pretty much sums it up. Populated by a bunch of commie Zentrul Kandjian and foreign Big Thinkers. I ran into some of them in the Vancouver mining scene, years later. And like all Marxist orgs they paid slave wages to the working grunts. First right of refusal and an automatic 25% back in if you found anything, no charge and they decided who, what, where got developed first. It was run like an Indian Reserve.
PetroCan despite it all was a pretty good outfit to work for. You may not be directly be employed by them but they treated you like family. Some of the WCSB junior oils were right out of Larry Hagman and Dallas, the Hollywierd show.

          2. PO’ed:

PET was looking for an excuse to start nationalizing the oil industry. Then Phillips Petroleum decided to get out of Canada, thereby cutting loose its subsidiary Pacific Pete (as we nicknamed it). That gave him the opportunity he needed and swooped in and snapped it up.

Pacific was a mainstay in NE B. C. and a lot of people in the area weren’t happy about what happened.

There’s also a personal aspect to that. I worked for 3 summers at the plant in Taylor, which was jointly run by Pacific and Westcoast Transmission (as it was known back then). I turned down a job offer to go back to Fort St. John but, about a year later, I went back to Pacific cap in hand as I was canned by the company I did go working for.

Pacific, remembering my rejection from before, returned the favour. A few months later, it became part of PetroCan. I guess I dodged a bullet there, didn’t I?

One insider I knew said to my mother that I was lucky that I was turned down. From what I heard, PetroCan in the early days was not a happy ship.

        2. I already had holdings in the oil industry though a sizeable block of Westcoast Transmission (later Westcoast Energy), so adding Petro Can wouldn’t have diversified my portfolio very much. I made a nice profit on them when Duke Energy bought the company.

I did, though, have shares in Alcan, Dofasco, and Falconbridge. I made a lot of money off them when those firms were taken over.

I bought Westcoast because it paid a good dividend and I could use it to buy more shares. Alcan, Dofasco, and Falconbridge also paid nicely, though I never foresaw them being acquired by foreign interests.

  7. Wasn’t Chretien quote during Add scam—–“We help our friends and our friends help us!” The liberal mantra!

  8. Do the Trudeaus have any idea what it looks like to take big bucks from a charity instead of gifting their time?
Now we need to ask when is a charity not a charity?

    1. I don’t think WE is a charity. I think it’s an enormous con game.

Not that the Trudeaus WOULDN’T steal from a charity or a school (as they have done before – SEE: speaking tours).

  9. The Kielburger dog and pony show has been featured at a variety of teachers union conference and provincial department of education events across the country as a means of greasing their path into your children’s classrooms. Parents need to be alerted not to pin any Me-to-We money to their children’s sweaters. The children have likely already been indoctrinated and may howl at being unable to pass on your contribution, but be strong. I survived telling the school (and my child) that not a penny (yes, it was a while ago) would be going into that UNICEF box, so they might as save me the trouble of putting into the recycling box.

If you still have your children in public school (or most private schools) and have no other options, at least take an interest in every request for donations that comes home, look at every reading and homework assignment, and, in the most helpful and cheerful of ways, find out what they are being taught.

  10. A dozen years ago I was visiting a friend when his daughter returned from a WE (Save the Children) rally. It was a high school thing and she was stoked. She announced that she was going to Africa and needed $5k plus the cost of the flight. Naturally my buddy didn’t cave and she never went.

Fast forward to this past winter. Again I’m at my buddies place and his daughter is visiting. She now has a master in anthropology. She works with the Indians and knowing this I gave her a copy of Frances Widdowson’s, ‘Disrobing the Aboriginal Industry’. She looked at it for a bit and said it’s guys like me who are responsible for genocide. She later suggested to her father I am a racist.

Ok then. She has no clue what I think and my life experience but has drawn conclusions based on her preconceived ideas. Her head is full of the shit she jammed into it at Western. It’s the complete opposite of what her father came out of Western 35 years ago with his masters. She has a WE degree.

  11. Trudeau handed a massive contract to a charity which in turn paid three of his family members almost $300,000. bucks to speak…..Sophie didn’t even sing.
Yeah, maybe we better have a look at that scheme. Let Trudeau and whoever else thought that a good idea do some singing.

  12. Education must be local.
Like welfare as soon as it gets provincial and federal the opportunities to steal, overwhelm the original “need”.
If we pulled our tax dollar from every government overreach, idiocy and spending black hole..Why we would have very little government left.
That public education administered centrally by a huge bureaucracy would provide niches for the Trudeaus and creatures such as WE,ME,GIMMEE! should surprise no one..
First rule of bureaucracy, create fake problem ,demand funding to fix.
One might note that todays High School graduate is damn near illiterate, indoctrinated and stupified, compared to the kids who were done school at 12 in 1916.

So many “improvements” such pathetic results.
    Cancel all compulsory taxes.
    Kill the Kleptocracy.

Repeatedly I hear how much better educated Canadians are,yet most Canadians cannot file their own taxes.
    Does not compute.

As a footnote, after WW2 and then again after The Killing Fields, all the talking heads and do-gooders agreed that using propaganda to create Child Soldiers was bad.
Then we proceeded to carry on making indoctrinated zombies of our school children.
Such well “educated” children, ready willing and able to rat out their families heresies to any authority who would ask..

    1. Once western civilization collapses (and it will), hopefully the next generation will learn from the errors of every other civilization that has collapsed in the past.

Haha…I kill me. The cycle will repeat itself forever. Individuals may be able to observe and learn from past actions of humans, but on the whole, that is the aggregate of human behaviour…history repeats itself. We’ve all seen it in action as we try and explain to some brain dead commie/Lib voter what is happening right now. They will blow a gasket arguing that things are different this time and Mr. Suchandsuchcommie is going to make society better.

The elites are picking the bones of a dying corpse right now and they know it. Their minions are blissfully unaware of what is going on, enjoying their volvos and cafe lattes thinking they are saving the world.

Enjoy the decline and the show, knowing you are witnessing history in the making.

    2. You’ve been dumbed down on purpose.
      It’s obviously been very successful.
Canada’s education system is just another part of the Big Fix.

“Remember when our grandparents, great-grandparents, and such stated that they only had an 8th grade education? Well, check this out. – – –

This is the eighth-grade final exam from 1895 in Salina, KS, USA. It was taken from the original document on file at the Smokey Valley Genealogical Society and Library in Salina, KS, and reprinted by the Salina Journal. Students were given 5 hours to complete the test.”

      https://thinklab.typepad.com/think_lab/2006/03/8th_grade_exami.html

I did great until the “upon what does climate depend” question.
I don’t think politics was the right answer then.

  13. I’ve said this before, but it bears repeating. Trudeau was blessed with good looks from both his parents. On the other side of the ledger, he inherited his intellect from his mother and arrogance from his father.

  14. Trudeau may want to think about starting up lemonade stands around Parliament Hill or get the Keilberger brothers to start an alms for the poor ordinary working Canadians.
With no end in sight to his spending , who will pay off the unprecedented , massive, trillion dollar debt he has created without great hardship?

  15. The .30 cent Canadian Dollar has already been created,…When nobody will except your script… you will eat hockey pucks and wear Hoods of shame… Who are Canadians?,,,,A group of Hair Balls following the mentally challenged “NEVER BEEN” Heroes of nothing…

  16. Many MANY years ago, due to a friend’s membership in new age self help cult est, I spent a lot of time researching the organization. They had hooks into the prison system but also the public schools (but I repeat myself). The hook into the schools was something called The Hunger Project. NO, they didn’t actually DO anything to alleviate hunger anywhere. But they talked about it a lot to ‘raise awareness’. I am proud to say that I coached my daughter on this (soft) cult and she managed to get it shut down in her school.

I know nothing about WE, but the ra-ra! smiley bullshit reminds me of this and other new age instant ‘self improvement’ cults of the early-mid 1980s.

    Kate, WE-Pay. Wow, perfect.

  17. The WE organization looks to be a basic introductory to Marxism & a pre-sorting of the useful idiots.. The Nasty & Ugly are sent to the CBC… The vicious go to Antifa & dress-up like Ninja, The Caribbean Blacks become tokens for the White BLM Marxist racists…..SJW’s all sourced via the… WE ACTIVIST

    Better wake up
