WE Charity offered camps up to $25K each to recruit volunteers for Liberal grants
On a recording obtained by National Post of a June 12 video call between WE Charity and over 100 attendees, mostly from summer camp organizations, co-founder Marc Kielburger explained that he was looking for camps who can help WE Charity “move a reasonable volume” of volunteers.
“If your non-profit camp that could potentially move a reasonable volume of young people, and that for us is about 75-plus young people throughout the summer … there are additional funds that we can provide to you up to $25,000 towards your administration of that towards the camp,” Kielburger explained to attendees of the meeting. In addition to $25,000 grants to camps who welcomed at least 75 volunteers, WE Charity promised in a posting on its website earlier this week to pay $12,000 to any teacher who recruited at least 75 student volunteers…
In other words, they were going to buy volunteers before paying them.
Welfare and government is about making sure the 99% lib/left, working the programs, make out really really well.

Yet despite their dismal track record on every other file, nobody in Central Canada cares enough to kick them out. It is maddening. This is why there’s a Wexit movement.

The problem therefore is much deeper and far more serious than just Mr. Trudeau, who is only a symptom of what ails this once great country. Blaming this unaccomplished, undistinguished hypocrite for the economic malaise he foisted on Alberta should not blind anyone to the stupidity of the majority of Canadian voters who elected this unpatriotic, treasonous, corrupt scoundrel in the first place.
The country can survive Trudeau for one term, but our country may not survive if these same fools elect him again. Unfortunately, his re-election with a minority will ensure his ongoing destruction of Western Canada’s energy industry because he will accept the support of the NDP. This will ensure he maintains power because more and more Canadians are moving in the direction of socialism with every generation. They no longer have a sense of self-reliance, personal responsibility, independent thinking and a willingness to continue the culture of hard working self-respect that built this magnificent country in the first place.
Trudeau himself recently stated that he was prepared to change the culture of Canada and is in fact doing just that. The advances of the Greens and NDP are clear evidence of this malign thinking. Unfortunately our schools, colleges and universities are being led by unionized teachers and tenured professors with guaranteed for life positions whose socialist philosophies are being insidiously presented during lectures. “The philosophy of the classroom in one generation will be the philosophy of government in the next”, is a quote attributed to Abraham Lincoln. Whether he said it or not is irrelevant but it is certainly true.”
Since Trudeau has been re-elected, this will only get worse.

Perfect! I have been saying this for years. It is folly to blame the morons/criminals that get elected. It’s like blaming an infant for crapping his diapers. If you were too stupid to see what Trudeau/Chretien and all their ilk were going to do to us then you should have voluntarily suspended your inclination to vote. This is a problem with canadians.

The difference between the left/Liberals and us Conservatives is that we are focused on Canadian and local politics while the left is supported and focused on making the whole Western world into a communist paradise. I believe just like the mandated Liberal rules for summer jobs a couple of years ago you had to be pro Abortion to qualify.
They have now expanded this requirement by 2 points .One you should be able to identify as a minority, and two you have to be LGBTQ2EiEiOXYZ.

I watched a bit of ‘First They Killed My Father’ on Netflix again last night.
I’ve seen the movie once before and read the book several times.
It is one of the best books I have ever read.
It is the story of a little girl growing up in Cambodia during the Khmer Rouge terror.
Watching it last night all I could think was that this is what the left want for us.
It’s a glimpse into the future.

This part of the program is the carrot: Reward young people with cash for thinking proper liberal thoughts.

This video conference call was 12th June. That was well before any official announcement of WE being chosen to administer this program. Did the PM and his buds figure having the program up and running before making any announcement about same would render changing said program impossible? Would also very much like to know who the attendees were; doubt the Salvation Army was one.

Yes it has become a trade in volunteers, rather like low-wage slaves. This aspect won’t disappear when the government runs the program; it’s a feature, not a bug.
I am ready to believe that ALL charitable organizations have become scams, except maybe for a few venerables, such as the Sally Ann. Certainly the NGOs, human oriented and certainly encvironmental. Imagine the trade in refugees! Actually, you don’t need to; look at Libya’s refugee/slave markets.
Of course if we asked for that money for the Navy League Cadets, we would be refused, not cool enough.
