    1. And there is a similar problem on the CA-Mexico border … where Tijuana dumps massive volumes of Raw sewage into the Pacific Ocean … forcing beach closure in CA. Yeah … it sounds like BC has the same sort of infrastructure as Tijuana. No bueno mi amigo

  3. Why would this be a surprise? Victoria, that staunch bastion of liberal values and freedoms, has been pouring raw sewage into Puget Sound for decades. Remind me again of what’s Wilkinson’s riding? Ah yes, North Vancouver. Since all Liberal MPs peddle sh!t they find it only reasonable to make as much of the rest of the country swim in it.

    There’s some progress here. Last year Environment Canada had Climate Barbie. Now it’s got “Waste-water Wilkinson”. Obviously this is progress…downward.

    3. Victoria pumps its waste into the open Pacific, not Puget Sound. If you don’t like environmentalist lies, try not spreading them. The Pacific, by the way, is rather large, and can handle the waste without problems.

        Even when the sewage treatment plant is finished, during heavy rainfall, the combined storm and sanitary sewage flow will be more than the sewage plant can handle, so sewage will still go into the ocean. I’m told eco-Vancouver has the same problem.

    4. Victoria’s new sewage treatment plant is scheduled to go online around year end. No more dumping it raw. Now it will be treated just like everywhere else…..

    5. Victoria dumps its sewage largely from Clover Point and Ross Bay into Georgia Strait. Puget Sound is not there but the sound that Seattle sits at the end of. It has been going on all my life time which is 60 years. Oddly enough I used to fish for chinook off the sewage outfalls at Ross Bay. The tides are strong there. That being said it is terrible they have done this all this time.

    For every municipality that uses rivers and lakes as a sewer they understand that the total cost of treatment plants for each will break them. The sensible solution is to cease money wasted on pretend global warming and direct that disgusting waste of money (for zero effect) to building said treatment plants all over the nation. But that would mean the State comrades from both parties would have to concede CAGW is a lie….no chance.

We can’t afford luxuries like clean water and sewage treatment systems when we have much higher priorities like buying UN seats and funneling gobs of cash to leftist insiders so they can pretend to save mankind from their global warming hoax.

    And the Khadrs of this country don’t pay themselves, you know.

        And the fact that the CPC had no real problem with the LPC outright buying the already liberal Canadian media with our tax dollars proves to me that they are all on the same friggin’ team, anyways. I can easily imagine the spineless Scheer whispering to Trudeau that he wouldn’t block the move if in turn the CBC promised to stop being mean to him.

    Strangely enough in the phoney economics of “Alternate energy” biomass is almost “economical”,certainly a winner compared to Wind and Solar.
    Here you have a resource,human shit, that contains very high energy levels and once fermented for methane,the solids have value as fertilizer.

    So of course we are going to dump it into the rivers for at least another 20 years.
    Cause Catastrophic Anthropogenic Global Warming is going to end the world in 11 1/2 years .
    So whats the point?

      Anyone that derives a financial benefit through a government administration will always perceive an existential threat from those that advocates smaller government. It’s too easy to campaign against heartless conservatives because these programs never come with a sunset clause nor do they have a goal that once achieved the program ends.
      The goal is not to end an ill, but use it to garner a political advantage.
      If going green was the goal, why not start with fresh water? Instead they want to tax the air you breathe on the premise that western culture needs to be destroyed to save civilization. Well, truth is they don’t really believe any of it, but they have found if you virtue signal, get in front of the parades it means you can demonize the other side during elections and the usefully naive eat it up.

  9. About fifteen years ago I wrote a column for The Landowner about this very hypocrisy: levels of government dumping raw sewage into rivers and lakes while preaching and regulating us to death. I received a letter from the clerk of an Eastern Ontario town I had mentioned in the article demanding (on pain of legal action) that I correct and apologize for stating that his town dumped raw sewage into the river; the effluent had in fact been somewhat “treated” by settlement and aeration prior to discharge.

    I wrote him back with apologies for my error, and assured him I had corrected the online version by removing only the offending word “raw”.

As governments regulate the hell out of the installers of farm and private sewage disposal systems, even making them GPS the locations of the soils test holes on an acreage, they let these, ( “some are more equal”) lazies carry on with this detestable practice. Untreated sewage can cause miscarriages in women, what is it doing to aquatic mothers. It is not groovy stuff, (unless your a liberal) I guess. But then it sort of sums up this moron and it’s administration. That dopes cabinet looks like the Star Wars bar scene, so this is hardly surprising.

    A better example is that we have a 40+ BILLION trade deficit with China yet we sent them 40+ million last year.

  21. So BC Ferries can add and additional 2,500 ferry sailings per year, apparently with no environmental consequences. So Vancouver/Victoria/Nanaimo, etc can continue to pump BILLIONS of litres of sewage per week for twenty more years, apparently with no environmental consequences. But dare to add a couple of extra oil tankers PER WEEK and all hell will break loose.
