The Peoples Temple Policing Project

Minneapolis Neighborhood Vows No More Cops

Keeping the promise not to call the police has proven more difficult than imagined, as some residents have avoided the park altogether after being catcalled and are fearing for their children’s safety. Others said they had trouble sleeping at night, fearing campers would force their way into their homes.

“I’m not being judgmental,” Carrie Nightshade, 44, told the Times, explaining she no longer allows her children, 12 and 9, to play in the park by themselves. “It’s not personal. It’s just not safe….

  1. It’s the curse of affluence. People start taking for granted institutions that their prosperity, safety, and happiness rely on, only to get kicked in the teeth when they allow those institutions to deteriorate.

    1. If she wasn’t judging then should would let her kids go to the park. She shouldn’t judge what happens to them, nor when they never come back. Just don’t judge. She herself should go and avail herself to the homeless, otherwise that is judging and white privilege.

She should in fact, leave her house and ask them to move in while she encamps in the dumpster bin.

      1. Everybody judges. All the time. But in these insane times, it’s politically incorrect to judge anyone negatively except straight, white males, and not even them if they happen to be radicals.

      2. I feel sorry for her. She’s desperately trying to hold onto her progressive woke values but smart enough not to put her children in danger because of them. With luck this ambivalence will force her to reconsider her political beliefs. Without luck, she’s going to have to engage in DoubleThink for a long time.

        1. Immediately after a mugging, progressives become conservative for a time. How long of a time is determined by how horrific a crime was committed against them, and where their balance point is between trust theory versus trust ideas.

Conservatives trust experience, and can learn from the experiences of others (when the conservative’s experience shows that the other is likely to be telling the truth and correct). Progressives trust ideas, and that how and by whom the idea is prepared will determine whether it will work.

She is now experiencing the results of her earlier ideas, and doesn’t like it. Whether that will make her change sides or double-down is anyone’s guess. If she loves her kids (which is almost universal) then this is likely the first step towards changing sides.

          1. Great comments, but will you PLEASE stop calling them ‘progressives’? They are leftists, PERIOD.

        2. Meanwhile she has a MaDeuce set up in the hall by her front door.. Gonna have to do a run here.. don’t have enough beer and popcorn for this one!

          1. Yep, at least this “Experiment” will give us guidance on the future of post apocolyptic living.

            Beer and popcorn indeed!

          2. GerryK: Someone should write a book called “How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love Long Pig”

    2. This reminds me of 3 points which I heard stated on The Roy Green Show last year. They were stated in reference to the decline of First Nations Reserves, but I have found them to be applicable to many different living situations.
      1. There isn’t anyone smart enough to maintain infra-structure.
      2. Money to support the community is stolen quicker than it is handed out.
      3. People who like infrastructure and not crime, move away.
Watched an episode of “Boise Boys” on HGTV. Apparently Boise, Idaho is one of the fastest growing cities in the US. People are moving from California, Oregon and Washington state. So that means in 20 years, it will be a festering, crime-ridden city like the ones from which they all moved.

      1. I’m sure that a bare-assed naked mofo with a samurai sword will wait for the cops to show up.

  2. Anyplace that needs cops to “feel safe” is already a shitehole, with or without cops.

    1. If it weren’t for cops, NO place would feel save except those protected by armed private security.

      1. Dirtman: Armed Private Security sound like the the filthy rich b*ggers we call them the Elites. And YeahWell: doesn’t need to feel safe as he carries a BIG GUN no need for cops!! I “feel safe” and my anyplace is not a shitehole!

        1. I live in Canada, so I don’t carry. That being said, I was lucky enough not to grow up in a shitehole. When I was kid in the 70s, we’d get a couple of friends together, with our pellet guns and slingshots, go to the abandoned quarry that had buildings and conveyor belt chutes going up 3 levels of railroad depots (also abandoned), total about 2-300′, and play at guerrilla warfare in the post-apocalyptic ruined buildings, if we were lucky, another small gang of kids would show up with the same plan, and that’s when things got fun.
Cops nowadays probably would have tried to round us up, and shot us if we resisted.
A shitehole is made by the folk that live there. City folk. Rural folk look out for each other, and we’re all armed. We don’t need cops. Its Hobbs vs Locke.

          1. I’m from Prince George, 80,000 population, I have no guns but I do feel safe. A few years ago we were the number one crime ridden city in Canada, but I still felt safe. The crime was mostly confined to biker gang/drug dealer types

Are you old enough to remember what happens when police go on strike? And that’s just a short time. If there were no police that situation would escalate to armed gangs ruling the city, and then I would not feel safe, nor would I be safe.

          2. Dirtman, if you had guns, and knew how to use them, you would be safe. You’d be surprised how fast and easily people back down when confronted with imminent death, be they gang members or bikers or whatever.

      2. Armed, private, security. That would be me, in my home. We feel safe here. (At least from intruders. I’ve been injured a couple times tripping over pets.)

  3. Fortunately I live in a very safe area, and do not feel at risk or unsafe. BUT, this stuff always spreads out in ever increasing circles. Eventually, this will reach my little town, It is a slow insidious creeping darkness that will eventually engulf us all. I have always felt that Canadian cities are about five to ten years behind US cities with this evil cancer. (The cancer being, crime, drugs, gangs, marxism, BLM, Islam, and whatever else you wish to insert.) The large towns are then about five to ten years behind those cities, and the small towns about five years behind them. Based on that assumption, I will be dead of old age, before this crap really affects my safety and well being.

The sad thing is that my kids and grandkids will see this infect and affect their lives and lifestyles, and the places they live. It seems our collective memory never goes back far enough to actually learn from the past. Even when history is available, we never learn from it, unless we have lived through it, or were born just after what ever historical event had occurred. My parents went through world war two, and I was born just a couple of years after, so their memories of that event were instilled in me as well, but once removed. By the time people are born thrice removed from the event, they have no yardstick to measure from, and their perspective is convoluted by their ignorance of the historical event, whether it’s war, earthquake, disaster, floods, 9-11 etc. Then because collectively we never learn from that history, we are doomed to repeat it. Only close proximity to the event will affect one’s reasoning about it.

For example, today’s most expensively educated and indoctrinated youth, have never had to experience true communism, and therefore view it as a better way of organizing civilization. Eventually, all era’s, civilizations, political preferences and so on, die, or change, usually violently. Think, historical China, Rome, British Empire, USSR, Greece, Aztecs, Mesopotamia, etc. If we’re honest about it, the West has been in decline for many years, and it is now accelerating into the void, and as these things ebb and flow, we are simply observers of our time, of a greater historical reality. None of us like it, and a lot will go down kicking and screaming, but as has been noted, there is no turning back.

So as my safe home and place on the world map begins to devolve, and the mob takes over in the final times of our Western civilization, if I ever feel unsafe enough, even in my own home, the need to care for my own defense will be met with what ever “tools” I need to use, to exit this life on my feet, and not on my knees. I just feel so helpless at being unable to protect my kids and grandkids from this encroaching evil. Although, I have also trained my kids in the use of those tools, and have made certain provisions to ensure they will have them when they are needed. That, and a healthy if somewhat jaundiced view of the world around them, and sufficient intelligence to guide them on their path! In the end, that is all we can do for them. For we are indeed, “On the eve of destruction”!

Yet, even with all this insanity around us, I have not lost my sense of humor, I’ve just misplaced it around here somewhere. Hopefully it’ll turn up soon.

    1. Indeed. The Tytler Cycle will not be denied. The important thing is not to let some form of permanent civilizational necrosis poison the future, like Islam does. Commies will always fall to capitalists eventually, but some Islamic zones have lasted 1000 years. Islam is a force that can actually prevent civilization from rising again, Phoenix like, from the ashes of the old. Modern folk and modern education is a failure, pretty much since 1918. Caligula was more lenient, tax and regulation-wise that any western leader currently is, that should be a strong indicator of how deep we have sunk.

    2. Well said.

Not everyone needs to hit rock bottom before they reform their ways; some never start the drugs at all. Those who are taking will not only insist that they can quit anytime, but that the stronger stuff that they’re switching to (because the old stuff just doesn’t have the same kick anymore) will be better for them in the long run.

and no, I’m not really talking about the progression of drug use to either overdose or cleaning up.

    3. Great civilizations to not fall from attacks from outside, but rather they collapse from the rot within. We are witnessing the decline and fall of western civilization, a civilization with unprecedented freedom, opportunity and wealth, the kind of civilization never before seen in history. It’s an aberration. If/when it falls, it could well be the case that it will never rise again.

  4. I’d be dropping off bricks and rocks and sticks and cases of the cheapest rotgut whiskey and wine that I could find.
Fill the hobo parks with booze.
Slap MAGA stickers over all the Bernie and Biden bumper stickers that you see there.
    Let ‘er rip!

As for burglaries and robberies, where would a halfway intelligent thief take his business?
Maybe to the zones that tell him that they won’t call the cops when he robs them?

    1. “Maybe to the zones that tell him that they won’t call the cops when he robs them?”
Maybe in those zones, the thief will just get shot and dumped in the sewer.

P.S. make a still, can make rot-gut vodka for less than 1$/liter.

  5. Old German folk tale:

There was once a stupid farmer who left his henhouse door open and some weasels got inside and started killing his chickens. So the stupid farmer said, “Mein Gott, mein Gott, zee wiesels are my hühnerstall in. I must a hammer get and nail shut zee door.”

  6. Reading the article I’ve come to understand that they’re relying on AIM for their policing duties.
AIM for those who don’t know is the American Indian Movement so I’m quite certain that’ll work out swimmingly well.
Noticed as well how the very woke Ms.Nightshade was careful to tick off all the right boxes before making her negative quip. “I’m not being judgmental” and “It’s nothing personal”. Then proceeds to be “judgemental” and “personal”. Laughable.
Ah well… it’s their world, let them live in it.

  7. Can we get some more camera drones up over that neighbourhood?
    Best TV in decades.
    I foresee a market for modern Hex’s.
A silhouette of a handgun for those who will not be calling the police,as they hate paperwork.
And the silhouette of a kneeling supplicant for those who chose to be victims.
To be stuck on your front door.

And of course the poor fools and bandits will never know which one is real,is the Gun sign a warning?
Or is the beggar a trap?
    Good days indeed.

A truly callous man,and that could be me soon, would take lessons from Willie Pickton and partake of a glorious business opportunity.
Hog farms, exclusively for the Chinese Market.
The Hogs dispose of the communists and the communists eat the hogs.
Now that is truly the circle of life.

    You cannot cure stupid!
At least not by any means available in a welfare state.
But now that stupid,in the form of mass hysteria and group thunk rules the mob, stupid is going to cure itself,by the old means.
    Burn.
    Loot.
    Murder.
Followed by pestilence, famine and helplessness in the face of natural disasters, those being storms we were not ready for.
With the odd unnatural disaster as our infrastructure crumbles.

    Faster Harder.
I would hate to see all my fine preparation work go to waste.

Banishment is the only tool available to a civil society that abandons the death penalty.
Ban all Do-Gooders and Liberal Style Critters.

  8. F-ing very stupid people. There is nowhere to go with this. I don’t care how many people think that I am stupid because there are far more stupid people than I. I read their drivel daily.

    .

    1. You do realize that the left are psyching themselves up for a pogrom, do you not?

      1. Yes and I sure as hell hope they are not close to me. I would hate to get blood on my lilly white hands.

  9. Well maybe it’s time for people like Carrie Nightshade TO BECOME judgmental! The virtue signalling that someone claims to not be judgmental is in fact, jedgmental in itself!

  10. Keeping the promise not to call the police is an invitation to criminals to do whatever they please. You couldn’t get stupider.

    1. Not at all. You seem to think that it is the governments job to defend people. When seconds count, the police are only minutes away. Are you on the same side as the criminals, like the police in Canada? Get a grip.

  11. I was born in a crime capital. Been assaulted not once. Grew up to know what and who to avoid and how to handle them if need be. Carried almost all of my life, until I married a Canadian cop and came here. I miss the feeling of a gun under my armpit. It makes one a different person. Not menacing, not more confident, just different. Everyone must carry, and that makes a better society.
