Three people are believed to have been stabbed to death in a hotel stairwell in Glasgow city centre.
Armed police shot the suspect, who is also understood to have died.
The Scottish Police Federation have confirmed a police officer was stabbed. Armed police remain at the scene outside the Park Inn in West George Street.
A statement from Police Scotland said the situation was “contained” and there was no danger to the general public.

The police officer stabbed is in critical but stable condition. No new demands for defunding yet.

I seem to remember a meme brought out by the left “if it saves only one life” this was in relation to gun registration, confiscation and banning. Funny how that is only a one-way street for the left. He was hounded out of office, his life and career destroyed, because of that speech, but he was right in every sense of what he spoke of. Just to set you straight GerryK, pulling a Nelson is an expression that supposedly originated by an action of Nelson that occurred during a battle where he was signalled to withdraw from action but he raised his telescope to his blind eye and declared “I see no sign to withdraw”, his continued involvement in the action resulted in a victory. The failure to see what is happening today is appropriate to Nelson, for the very people that are ordering us to be accepting of diversity fail to see that they are assisting our destruction, it is incumbent on us to “Pull a Nelson” in order that we ensure the future of Western Civilization.
That’s how I heard it too, though it’s more commonly called “turning a blind eye”.
