  1. When is Canada and America going to learn and the world also that you need to reset things about every 200 years or so. Ideologies that turn nations to shit are allowed to bubble up and the “tolerant” ones allow them to take over. It happens over and over and over. All the history of nations falling because they allow a group to dismantle them from the inside out. The reset will always be messy …but needed.

    1. Problem is, you can end up with something much worse than the society you destroyed. That is what I am seeing with BLM, Antifa and their Soros inspired Marxist agenda.

  2. University of British Columbia,
Definition: slave state+history’s greatest monster. University is a nonsence word.

  3. He thought it would be safe?

My guess is he may have fed this alligator for years.

All the markers are being called in. The left knows that they must go for the kill now.

If Trump wins again they will be set back decades.

So they are going on a scorched earth policy worldwide.

    It’s for all the marbles.

    1. He was still feeding the croc after it ate him. Grovelled in his apology. No sympathy, he helped build the wreck.

  4. I’m not surprised that this is happening at UBC.

When I was a grad student there, the fishwrap of a student newspaper, the Ubyssey, took great pride in being openly hostile and contemptuous to the provincial government at the time. Just about every issue was filled with scorn and derision.

Then about 20 years ago, there was a notorious racial discrimination suit filed by a student against her department.

  5. As they always say: You can tell a person by the company he keeps. Imagine liking Tucker Carlson tweets! And worse still, agreeing with anything Sean Hannity has said; e.g. comparing Black Lives Matter activists to the Ku Klux Klan. /s

This sounds a bit like 1938 to me so it’s not exactly a 200-yr button anymore, Patrick. Obviously being active on social media is speeding up the rush to the gulag.
“He told them that he’s not an active user of the social media platform Twitter, and that he didn’t realize that people could see what he was doing with his profile.
“I wasn’t actually familiar with the fact that people can look at my Twitter account, so I do regret that.”

As long as he didn’t actually apologize to anyone for his thoughts because everyone knows BLM, KKK and the Dems are synonymous and owned lock, stock and barrel by dear ol’ George and there’s no evidence Satan is finished with him yet. What’s coming before Nov. only God knows.

  6. The NDP Advanced Education Minister Melanie Mark summed it up perfectly:

“Our government and UBC are deeply committed to inclusion, justice and equity for all. The university has an inclusion action plan and has begun implementing it. I believe UBC will continue its work to provide a world-class education to all of its students in a safe and supportive community environment. ”

Anybody who would deny these excellent goals is racist!

    1. I LOATHE that word “inclusion”!
Want to be included? Offer something of value and raise the standards that you apply to yourself!

  7. Interesting, another vapid, pearl clutching, mea culpa, appease the teenage daughters (Gorsuch), “aren’t I awful”, corporate self immolation ………………….(with superannuation and virtual stock options)

If just one of these Victims said “Fuck You, See You In Court”……
But they don’t……..peer group dinner parties win .

    1. Whoa, Bill, “peer group dinner parties” is even more effective than “faculty lounge”. Bravo!

  8. The Tulsa rally is superbly reassuring.
The Don knows what middle America wants….and he speaks directly and without obfuscation on it.
We love it when he calls out Boeing and military procurement as ” sons of bitches”….. they are, retirement jobs with other contractors is their aim.
If the Dems can’t corrupt the voting rolls…the Don is a done deal in November.

  9. Because there is no built-in generational memory we lose everything valuable that each generation has learned about freedom and morality. Education has proven to be more indoctrination to specific viewpoints than actual education. We take truths that have been known for thousands of years and think we can alter the truth with whatever nonsense the current crop of idiots come up with. All the SJW bullshit is just that and nothing more. Man’s in humanity to man continues and at times we are willing to destroy complete societies in man’s “best interest”. I am always amazed that sane rational thought can be pushed aside by any ginned up fear or lie pushed by someone with physical or political power. As Mao said “from the barrel of a gun”. Lately a gun has not been needed as the intellect of the average human has fallen to an extreme low point. We have massive amounts of information abut absolutely no wisdom.

    1. That’s part of why the left doesn’t want history taught in any coherent way. So that when the left says “tear it all down!” there won’t be enough people around who know what that’s likely to mean, and how any change is likely to impoverish.

  10. Misanthropes and misandrists are working together with the Coloured Grievance Industry to go after mostly white men but they’ll crush white women as well.
Either you join as a submissive or you’re finished…
To my knowledge, in the Hands Getting Dirty Industry, none of this shit is relevant.

  11. Leftists are sociopaths, pure and simple. Leftists are incapable of empathy and wallow in narcissism, and they’ll slit your throat without compunction.

  12. So someone had the presence of mind to look for the tweets he liked?

Someone had it in for him long before this. I suspect a woman or sissy scorned.

  13. Looks like a friendly reminder to all the lefties…you never know who the next “not woke enough” will be.

Enjoy trying to placate all the little Stalins you created. If you work at a big corporation or government bureaucracy etc…sleep with one eye open. It’s not paranoia…they really are coming for you. Haha.

    1. Yep. Next you’ll come home and there will be some committee in your house telling you which room you may still occupy.

    1. I think a month in a slum in Cameroon or Bangladesh would teach them more. It has to be long enough that they can’t coast, and they’ll have to actually leave their room and interact with their neighbours to get the basics needed for life.

  14. L-If provincial governments stopped funding non-STEM courses for the next two years.
How much help would that make to balancing their budgets ?

I don’t know, but it would go a long way to balancing the minds of people in universities !

    1. One issue that needs to be addressed is whether Medicine is included in STEM or not. I stumbled across a former graduate school colleague who is now an assistant professor at a medical school and committed to Social Justice. Social Justice topics would now appear to gaining traction in medical school courses. Publicly funded medicine is already a sink hole for money in Canada, but if one were to add the insatiable demands of Social Justice it would become a black hole. (I believe one can still employ the term black hole as it isn’t racist, yet.)

      1. “I believe one can still employ the term black hole as it isn’t racist, yet.”

Only if “black” is not capitalized.

      2. Social Justice topics would now appear to gaining traction in medical school courses

Not just in medicine. Engineering’s coming close to being a write-off as well. It seems that every time I receive a newsletter or notice about some professional event, I’m being beaten over the head with “diversity” or “gender” issues.

I doubt that’s what Kipling had in mind when he wrote his poems The Sons of Martha:

        and Hymn of Breaking Strain:

  15. This is truly appalling but not altogether surprising.

They will go after professors next. Any professor that has liked a Tweet by Trump, or Dinesh D’souza, or Kate (!) will be hounded out of UBC.

When does it stop? Are universities still “higher institutions of learning” or has that ideal been shredded?

      1. Covid is being blamed for the faulty review process. Another one bites the dust. If you are a public figure with even slightly conservative views, expect to be shunned by academia and the media.

      2. “Alissa Trotz, who is the director of the Women & Gender Studies Institute and former director of the Caribbean Studies Program at New College”

That says it all “Black Caribbean Studies” are Communist activists who brought BLACK on White racism to the USA & Canada… They are imported Marxists who do not belong in civilized Countries….Give her an Apple & a One-way Bus Ticket…Home

        JMHO
