  1. Jason Kenney showing Canaduh how badly he wants to be PM some day.

Yes Jason, Separatists DO NOT love Canaduh. Truly, Geeze. The question is does Canaduh love Alberta? The answer is obviously NO.
    https://www.msn.com/en-ca/news/politics/either-you-love-canada-or-you-don-t-alberta-premier-rebukes-separatists/ar-BB15J1qa?ocid=msedgdhp

Just keep letting Bananaduh use Alberta as their Chew Toy, eh Jason? As an Albertan, I see no difference between you and Rachel Notley.
How long do you think you could be Premier of Quebec with your attitude, Jason?

    1. Yea something like loving a domestic spousal abuser.

The left has no issues for separating those victims, and telling them to move on. In this case it’s the gold digging b*tch, kicking the hard working taxpayers around while calling them deplorable racist ingrates.

    2. Yeah, like The West is finally going to grow up and move out of the basement.
Just after losing its cushy government job (oil) and spending the last couple of decades getting fat and stupid, soy-infused, government sodden and preparing your kids for the future with all the reality and world-view of a UoC Berkeley alumnus
      Sure.

      Nenshi, Notley, Redmonton, etc,etc,etc………..

      And it’s day after day
I keep hanging around can you tell me why
Night after night yeah I know I should leave
      But there’s something

    3. I think when Kenney left Ottawa for Alberta it was because he knew it will be a loooong time before another Albertan gets to be PM. It’s the nature of Canadian politics.

    4. His whole ‘rebuke’ is so feeble and flaccid it’s actually enough to give a separatist hopes. This is what we’re up against?

That’s not the most galling part though: “He also says it’s foolish economically, given that the uncertainty surrounding Quebec’s separatist intentions in the late 1970s led to businesses fleeing the province en masse.”

No you idiot it was because those separatists were socialist and anglophobic and would probably have turned indie Quebec into Zimbabwe en Francais.

      1. We supply ALL the petroleum product consumed in BC, AB, SK, MB, ONT and 40% of Kaybec. Most of the propane and goodly chunk of natural gas. That’s just Kan-eh-duh. Will do so for the foreseeable future, unless folks get over their fear of nuclear, of which Sask has about 30% of the world’s mineable reserves. Go ahead, make my day Zentrul Kan-eh-duh.
Kenny was useful getting rid of Notley the Commie. He’s worn out his welcome to real Albertans, post election. He should get a sense of smell.

    5. Drew Barnes UCP MLA slaps back at Kenney the Rat. Quote from MLA BARNES “Support for independence is no longer limited to a small fringe. One-in-three speakers at the many Fair Deal townhall meetings that we heard, and many more of them that communicated with me through direct channels, said that they would fight for independence if a fair deal cannot be had. In my own constituency of Cypress-Medicine Hat, people are no longer willing to be bystanders in their own country.’ https://drewbarneslive.wordpress.com/2020/06/20/i-am-an-alberta-patriot/?fbclid=IwAR0VYQrQxwtpnPoyaYFTgqNhGXff2bg6MgqRMtjuLWa69S4xIPEuzN-tJhw

  2. Some sad news. Actor Sir Ian Holm has died. I think his performance as British intelligence agent Bernard Samson in the TV adaptation of the Len Deighton spy trilogy Game, Set & Match was one of his best.

      1. He could do Shakespeare as well. About 20 years ago, I watched a production of King Lear on PBS with him in the title role.

He was also an excellent narrator as he was involved with numerous documentaries.

Farewell, Sir Ian, and we thank you.

        1. Hamlet is my favourite of Shakespeare’s plays but I never did like Polonius. Sir Ian’s portrayal in Mel Gibson’s Hamlet changed that; I thought he was wonderful.

          1. I’ve always wanted to see that one, but never did. It wasn’t in the theatres for very long, as I remember, partly, I think, because it was overshadowed by Kenneth Branagh’s adaptation.

          2. I love Hamlet so much, I own all the modern DVD versions. Ethan Hawke’s is my least favourite as I dislike modern versions of classics. Kenneth Branagh’s Hamlet felt more like the court of the Russian Tsars but, oh, what a cast! At least Mel’s version made you feel like you were in Elsinore.

The Stratford Festival had Hamlet in its lineup this season and I was planning on attending. Alas, the Chicom bastards put an end to that. I joke with my husband about having t-shirts made saying “Summer of Nothing 2020.”

    1. Agreed, B A. I thought he was the perfect Bernard Samson. I loved those Len Deighton trilogies.

      1. I read the first 3 books after watching the series on TV more than 30 years ago. I never got around to the rest, largely because I can’t really settle down and concentrate on fiction any more–too many other things to do and too little time to do them in.

I heard that Deighton was unhappy with how Game, Set & Match was adapted. Consequently, the series has never been released on DVD and I’m not even sure it was ever available on VHS. Pity, as the story was good.

The only other Deighton spy fiction I read were the early ones, most of which were made into movies starring Michael Caine.

        1. I read the books before watching the series so I already had a “movie” in my mind. Sir Ian was spot on for me!

    1. Dogs from Ukraine, running dogs from China. Not your grandmothers humain society.

      1. Humain Society? Really? Thats just trajik, bro. Trajik! What remanes of the Engrish Ranguaje? Or the pore an starvin grandmother’s apostrafee? Was it a failyour to poofreed? Sheesh.

          1. Lot’s of Junteenth coverage on the CBC news channel, but zero comments on the lack of social distancing of the protestors. But the Ceeb is very concerned about social distancing at tonight’s Trump rally.

          2. Means nothing in these quarters. Just indifferent about it, and definitely NOT watching any mass media BS and sympathy towards this.
I’m just just another normie that doesn’t care and has turned off the propaganda!

    2. What the heck? Why on earth would 300 puppies be coming to Canada? I thought we outlawed puppy mills. These are no rescue dogs. English bull dogs are very popular. The business of rescuing groups of pets from foreign countries should be also be clipped.

Otherwise, the airlines or government may decide that It is not worth the bother. I travel with my dog in cargo short distances about for times a year, and she is taken care of very well by Canadian airlines.

      1. Disease vectors introduced into North America. It’s a different type of “warfare” today, folks. Wakey, wakey. Multifaceted “fronts”. What do you think the Wuflu was/is? No good nuking us, they need the land and working infastructure. Just slaughter the occupants and walk right in, aided by a buncha “useful idiots” like Antifa, or Sock Buoy. Then slit their throats.

    3. Somebody here recommended, ‘The Dog Merchants’ so I bought it. Haven’t started it yet but will shortly.

I just got a pup and I’m having fun. Gotta quit getting down on the ground and playing with him – I smell like a puppy – you’d be able to tell if it wasn’t for this physical distancing….ha.

I can’t stand the puppy rescue scam. You rescued pups from the Ukraine this time. Last week it was Mexico. Why not rescue from any if the 100’s of indian reservations in Canada. No shortage of dogs there

        1. Been to a Raptors game? Whole new “lingo” introduced to Zentrul Kan-eh-duh. We’re (well some of us) “Wokestanians” now. How’s your Juju, cracker?

          0

      1. My parents made sure their dachshunds were purebreds and got them from reputable breeders. One reason, I think, was that it made it easier to monitor the health of the dogs as their lineage and associated medical history was known.

        1. elizabethm

Well he’s a black lab- 12 weeks old and his name is Shot Jackson. Named after a Nashville steel guitar player from the old school (you can google him).

He’s busy but what puppy isn’t. He catches on quickly. Has a nice soft mouth and is retrieving. He comes in on the whistle.

Now the bad stuff…..haha I’m a sucker for a pup and get right down on the ground to wrestle. He pulled out a mouthful of my hair – but he was remorseful and didnt mean it….ha.

He’s a blast. I’ve had a lot of puppies and wish I’d had a lot more

  3. Just out of curiosity…are there people on this board who’ve actually heard of “Juneteenth” before??
I like to think I’m well informed but I have never heard of such a thing till now.

    1. New to me as well. The name is lame. Who came up with it, a child?
Wikipedia says its a portmanteau – like smoke and fog becoming smog – of June and nineteen, but Freedom Day or Emancipation Day seems a better way to identify it.
But I’m not black so my opinion is probably invalid.

      1. Lot’s of Junteenth coverage on the CBC news channel, but zero comments on the lack of social distancing of the protestors. But the Ceeb is very concerned about social distancing at tonight’s Trump rally.

      2. I’d never heard of it either but I’m only 65.

Juneteenth sounds more like the product of another synaptically-challenged oral misfire by Joe Biden, for which the MSM dashed out and fabricated an entire back-story to demonstrate how Joe really has his finger on the pulse of a nation from his basement command center and hideout.

    2. We have probably all heard about the date just not the black “verbiage ” for that particular date. June 19th 1865.

      1. June 19, 1865 – I don’t get it. Slavery carried on in non-Confederate states until the 13th Amendment was proclaimed December 18, 1865 after ratification on December 6, 1865. June 19, 1865 is celebrating a local event in Galveston that changed nothing. I am a history nut and have taken many courses in US history and have never heard of Juneteenth. More made up shit.

Slavery went to the December 18, 1865 deadline in New Jersey, Delaware and Kentucky. At that point New Jersey had only something like 16 slaves.

        1. Don’t matter, that is the Juneteenth date. Nothing means a damn thing any more, you must be aware of that.

    3. are there people on this board who’ve actually heard of “Juneteenth” before??

The first time I heard about it was yesterday. My question is why I should even care about what it is, let alone any significance it might have.

      1. I like when strong becomes sHtrong.
I always want to ‘axe’ them how to say sit.

    4. burton,

I’m 71 and highly attuned to current events and the culture wars. I’ve been familiar with the word Juneteenth for many, um, hours. Since early this morning when I felt compelled to look the stupid word up after all the recent encounters.

  4. Off topic but my experience in traveling to Canada from the USA on essential business may be helpful. Tip #1. Don’t attempt to fly in. Fly to an American border city like Buffalo and drive in. The reason is that the airline gets penalized for undesirable passengers, and so to reduce their risk, they reject almost everybody.
Tip #2. Have good documents supporting your claim for essential business, and have documents that exempt you from work visa requirements. In my case we sold equipment to a Canadian company and then had to make a service call when a problem arose.
The Canadian border officials were cautious regarding my claims of essential work and required more information, but they were consistently friendly.
By contrast the American on my return had nothing to worry about but he displayed stereotypical “American cop” attitude.

  5. Go out and enjoy the weekend, and ignore the media. Its all Canadians are racist bastards this morning. And Blackie’s CBC continues to push that Rev. Al Sharpton is the greatest civil rights activist in history.

  6. Just so everyone knows, Great Leader Kim Sung Trudeau is at his Harrington Lake resort for the weekend.

    1. And undoubtedly using one of the 8 boats he bought with tax payer money.

Or perhaps he’s replaced them using some of the infrastructure money Catherine McKenna manages.

      1. And undoubtedly using one of the 8 boats he bought with tax payer money.

Nonononononononono! He didn’t buy them. We, the great unwashed, gave them to him as a gift out of gratitude for all his love, wisdom, and guidance.

Yeah, I know what I just wrote was poppycock, but I wouldn’t put it past him if he believes it.

      2. Peanuts.
Soon he’ll have real sick money.
Enough to forget about his villa in the south of France.

  7. Blackie’s CBC is excited that Toronto’s Ryerson University will be offering a black journalism course. Apparently there is a great need for that in Canada.

    1. WTF is black journalism? Is that where they learn to cry like the black guy on etalk did a week ago? I can’t even watch TV anymore without an endless stream of racist assholes spewing anti-white hate. How do they get away with it? I used to watch Conan to put me to sleep but his repeated confessions of being racist and accepting guilt for the white race are not letting me relax. Doesn’t he realize that Irish were almost as abused as blacks? The Irish have gotten over it, well except for the being perpetually drunk part.

      1. Have you seen the sports shows/pages lately?
Who needs games when you have endless virtue signaling.
It’s like Hollywood without the teeth.
Look for a new season with Al Sharpton or Whoopi Goldberg in Coach’s Corner.

  8. Ibn O’Toole accused Peter McKay of hacking and filed a complaint with all police forces.
I bet nothing will be done, for no one cares about those pesky Conservatives.
Sounds like Ibn O’Toole is desperate now that Derek Sloan is such a strong candidate. Eliminating McKay may help Ibn O’Toole get necessary votes.

Do not vote for Ibn O’Toole: he is a traitor, just like Harper, but without Harper’s knowledge of economics.

    1. Things you would never ever see in the Fake News North American Media.

      From that feed:

Atlanta hasn’t had a Republican mayor since 1879.

Chicago hasn’t had a Republican mayor since 1931.

Seattle hasn’t had a Republican mayor since 1938.

Minneapolis hasn’t had a Republican mayor since 1973.

How are their problems Republican problems?

And, Baltimore hasn’t had a Republican mayor since 1967.

      Detroit since 1957.

      Flint, MI since 1932.

      Oakland, CA since 1888.

      St. Louis since 1949.

      Newark, NJ since 1941,

      Philadelphia since 1952.

      Los Angeles since 2001.

      Liberals lie.

      People die.

  9. Funny that Robert. “..stereotypical “American cop” attitude…”

I ran into that (IM Canadian – for now), at the Couts Montana US border point last Summer. Returning to my “job” as a Quality Assurance Inspector at a US Manufacturing facility that was building all the Structural Steel for a Manitoba Hydro Project.

I had been traveling there back n forth on a monthly basis without issue. I had plenty of documentation stating I was being paid in CAD, was not involved in any physical work and simply there to monitor the progress of the job and ensure that the Fabrication facility was following their own QC program and adhering to CWBureau standards/codes of fabrication.

Not only was I refused entry on a (I believe i was), a B2 Visa, I was fingerprinted and mug shot…!! Like I was some kind of fkn Criminal.

Their reasoning was that I was taking an Americans job away. Funny that, the town I was working in had signs throughout their Industrial AREA SCREAMING for Help – Help wanted signs in near every facility, as well as in the town itself….you couldn’t buy help there. That argument went nowhere with the officious bastard I dealt with. I asked him if he thought a Canadian Company would even consider having one of their facilities spend some 200 million at a US Facility and then not be allowed to have one of their personnel be allowed to witness the production….?? didn’t even faze him whatsoever.

I later found out that Coutts Montana is the Northern Border TRAINING facility for all US Customs inspectors right across the continent. So, it was either a trainee deathly afraid to make a call or this officious pocket protector Trainer jerque who made the call.

To say I was NOT IMPRESSED whatsoever with that treatment is an understatemnt.
I felt like Flippin Jason Bourne.

    1. Taking jobs away from Americans, what Americans, are there any left? There sure as hell are no Canadians left.

  10. “Applying for a space to be rezoned is onerous and takes a minimum of nine months to be completed and reviewed. In order to apply to have the city rezone a property from commercial to residential, the applicant often needs to provide: an archeological assessment, a services and facility study, an environmental impact study, an energy strategy, a heritage impact statement, a natural heritage impact study, their planning rationale, their public consultation report and a transportation impact study”

“Obstructionism is so bad in Vancouver that the only way to build at a large scale (in the thousands of units) is on Indigenous land”

    https://business.financialpost.com/opinion/for-more-housing-and-less-real-estate-havoc-rezone-and-dezone

This is why we have high housing and rental prices. This and rent control are 100% of the reason, immigration is 0% of the reason.

    1. We have skyrocketing real estate prices because of non-stop immigration.
Construction mafia pays the government (any government – no Lib or Con ever declines a brown envelope) to keep increasing the quotas. The new Lib ruler favors refugees who are not subject to any quotas.
As long as the torrent of brown filth into Khanada continues, the real estate will be out of reach of young Canadians.
This is white genocide and systemic racism, right there. But you, commy asswipe, would not know it even if it kicks you in the gonads.

      1. “We have skyrocketing real estate prices because of non-stop immigration.”

No it isn’t, period. It’s a matter of supply. No matter how hard you want to believe otherwise it isn’t so.

“This is white genocide and systemic racism, right there.”

It’s every bit as much ‘rape culture’ ie 0%

  11. Here’s further evidence that we’re now a province of China. A few minutes ago, I received a spam robocall and it wasn’t in English or French. To my European-born ears, it sounded like Mandarin to me, based on how some of the softer sounds were pronounced.

How long before Dear Leader makes us a tri-lingual country?

    1. I’ve been getting those for a long time. Supposedly they’re criminals pretending to be CRA agents. I get similar calls in English.

It does suggest that the scammers are affiliated with the Overseas Chinese mob.

      1. I’m not sure who originated that call. The “CRA” scammer calls I got in the past didn’t have music playing in the background.

    2. I used to get those once in a while. I swear at them in Chinahfolktalk. They haven’t called in a while. Want to really piss off a Chinah Folk? Learn to swear in their language. If they get all riled up, they just lost face. Win win for the guailo. Ever work in a Chinah Folk establishment? I did once. Eye opening. They treat each other worse. Most are assuredly not “Chin” like if you know who Chin is.

  13. So the Wuhan flu case and death numbers cited by Johns Hopkins seem to be coming from an obscure clickbait website that (CNN suggest as forcefully as they dare) is operated by a front for Chinese intelligence that is presumably making the numbers up as part of a disinformation campaign.

(The alleged owner shares the name of a man supposedly living in Bologna, Italy. Baloney sounds about right. All reasonable attempts to track him down have failed.)

A bit long, but definitely controversial opinions from Martin Armstrong. First he says U.S. cities will empty out like ancient Rome. Too expensive and chaotic. Marty thinks COVID was an excuse to shut down the Global Economy, borne out by so few deaths for most of the world. He says it’s a cover for increasingly broke governments deeply in debt and the destruction of small businesses for the sake of growing Socialism. He reduces emphasis on race as the defining cause for social unrest and cites massive unemployment as the larger issue historically and currently. Whether or not you agree he does have a point. Then a short bit on equities as a means of retaining purchasing power. Martin always takes a GLOBAL view, so the race filter takes a back seat.

“Seattle police on Saturday said they were investigating the fatal shooting of one person and wounding of another in a part of the city occupied by activists protesting against police brutality and racial inequality across America.”

And guess what happened when the Seattle police tried to enter CHAZ to investigate:

“In a statement, the police called the protesters a “violent crowd that prevented officers safe access to the victims.”
