    1. To be fair, given that e is fellating Chicoms where keeping mooselimbs in concentration camps is legal…

      1. Muslims belong in concentration camps since the foundation of their religion requires the physical extermination of non-muslims. But “conservatives” will play “poor muslim victims” card regardless. Make up your mind and do not try to have it both ways, all the time.
You cannot bemoan muslims running grooming gangs in the UK and simultaneously deride China for Uighur concentration camps. Choose your sides and stick with one set of principles, not with multiple sets depending on the thread you are commenting on.

        1. CIT – totally agree

One of the few things Communist China does 100% correct.
          Uighur concentration camps.

I would also note that the Japanese will not allow Mosques, residency or any outward sign of Islam in their country. Come to work, fine…work is done.? LEAVE NOW.

A Policy we abdicated back in the mid ’50’s when Eisenhower invited the Muslim Brotherhood in to the White House – the thinking at the time was they would be become a bulwark against communism. FForward and here we are now with 12 of these POS in our very own Cabinet.

Thank a Trudeau for that. Either the dead one or the brain dead one

        2. Damn it, why is it always a “conservative ” that fails, are you nuts? I am the most conservative man in Canada and I know that what you are saying is freaking nuts. The f-ing liberal socialists have been busy working on the destruction of our society all my long life. As I have said many times to the terminally stupid, if you don’t kill your enemies they will kill you. Just what do you think the followers of islam are?

        3. Great, another off topic pointless rant from Field Marshall Windbag. Just shut up. We’re talking about Trudeau cynically prostituting himself and betraying his alleged ideals for the sake on the UN seat. Your opinion where mooselimbs belong is irrelevant. Stop trying to signal how more than all of us you are, and instead try holding two thoughts at the same time in your empty cranium.

          1. Good. I am very glad we did not get that seat. F*** Blackie and f*** UN.

All the fellating of Chicoms for nothing. Blackie did not even get a reacharound.

          2. I guess they didn’t game a loss in their plans. Always have a Plan B. I do have a niggly question though, how much of the gazillions lining potential UN voter’s pockets got siphoned off to the Trudeau Foundation? Peking Buoy lost, but then he won?
            Audit.

    2. Wouldn’t it be a greater failing for the country’s that actually accomodate the sock monkey?
It’s obvious to even the most obtuse that this quest is all about him, and to the global community he’s demonstrated excessive pretence for his own self gratification.
Put it this way, in any competition where everyone has to declare who they support, do you want to tell everyone you voted for the court jester?

    3. That tweet about the woman’s loss of data was quite painful to read. We have all experienced glitches where suddenly something we spent time on is lost due to some computer screw up — or carelessness. Seems she did save, and this time it was the computer. “Coding” is not a solution here.

  1. Association of American Physicians & Surgeons (AAPS) Sues the FDA to End Its Arbitrary Restrictions on Hydroxychloroquine

“There is no legal or factual basis for the FDA to limit use of HCQ,” states AAPS General Counsel Andrew Schlafly. “The FDA’s restrictions on HCQ for Americans are completely indefensible in court.”
“Entrenched, politically biased officials at the FDA should not be allowed to interfere with Americans’ right to access medication…”

Hmmm, I wonder who they were biased against.

  2. If our leaders won’t stand against violence, they are unfit to lead

“I doubt very much that the guys who drove their $400,000 Rolls-Royce to the high-end shopping district of New York (it’s on Twitter) to grab the loot from Prada or Louis Vuitton, were high on “social justice” vibes or stuck for the price of a cheeseburger.

Over in London, and this is a real test case, they want to tear down the statue of Winston Churchill. The correct and moderate response to that civic blasphemy is a vigorous, “Who in the hell do you think you are?””

He also makes a great case refuting “destroying property is not “violence,”.

Older SDAers who used to listen to the CBC might recognize it as a former theme for the late Bob Kerr’s show Off The Record. He used it about 50 years ago, back when there was only the one radio service and it may have been this recording that served as the introduction. About once a year he’d play the whole thing on his show because listeners kept asking him about it.

He later switched to using a segment of Ottorino Respighi’s Ancient Airs and Dances.

          1. Back in the day (and we’re talking more years than I care to admit), grew up in a small town in what is now SE British Columbia. There was a local radio station which was some form of affiliate with CBC so we got the CBC National News, the Happy Gang, and the Metropolitan Opera interspersed with local content. It was only in my teens that I realized that communities out of range of the local stations were “gifted” with the full CBC content. That’s another story.

However, Kerr was originally on CBC AM. Was switched to FM over the objections of the many – mainly rural Canadians who pointed out they’d lost a valued source of classical music. As I recall, the then head of CBC dismissed their concerns, pointing out that the vast majority of Canadians had access to FM. Obviously a Torontonian.

Listened to Mr Kerr whenever I could, and have CDs in my collection thanks to him.

        1. Among Respighi’s best-known pieces are Fountains of Rome and Pines of Rome. The latter has an interesting twist to it as it uses a recording of a nightingale in one section. By the way, the finale of POR is a concert favourite and it’s easy to see why.

Respighi wasn’t the only composer to use animal recordings in his works. American composer Alan Hovhaness (perhaps best known for his Symphony No. 2 Mysterious Mountain) uses actual whale songs in the closing of And God Created Great Whales.

Then there’s Finnish composer Einojuhani Rautavaara’s Cantus Arcticus, which uses recordings of arctic birds. I didn’t think much of the piece at first, but after hearing it several times, I’ve grown to like it.

    2. The most annoying Statement made by those Supporting continued LOCK Down… “We don’t want to have to do this Again” What stupid fool does not expect to get up again after been knocked down, every time… To surrender to an UNKNOWN does not pass the smell test…..The lock-downs can’t be justified in a Court of law because the Science does not exist , nor will it EVER exist…..Feeling’s are found in the muttering of Witch Doctors…

Destroying the financial well being of individual citizens is the goal of the Communist ….Who the hell elected “Practicing” Medical Doctors to make Constitutional rulings…. How many times are Doctors WRONG
and successfully sued for malpractice?….How many village idiots do we have in Society?

      JMHO

  4. Yay! We get a green line (sort of). If you pay taxes in Alberta or Canada, all y’all are paying for it.

    Thanks great great grandchildren!

    1. The entire green line, North suburbs to downtown to south suburbs, was supposed to cost on the order of $4.6 billion. Now it appears to be $5.1 billion and it does not go to the northern suburbs at all and only serves 1/3 to 1/2 of the south.

My prediction? The $5.1 billion central portion will balloon to $7 or 8 billion.

Total cost end to end? I’m predicting $12 billion.

But hey we just borrow the money. In the new Trudeau/Biden new deal economy it’s not like we have to pay it back. I mean interest rates are so low. And they’ll stay low! 🙁 Hey city employees, say goodbye to your pensions. Pretty soon the taxpayers won’t be able to pay them.

      1. Here in Edmonton, we’ve got our own rapid transit white elephant. A branch line into Mill Woods in the city’s SE has been under construction for several years now. The last time I was in that area, real estate was still being churned up and there doesn’t seem to be much sign that work will be finished any time soon.

Like Calgary’s headache, the cost for this mess has gone through the roof as well.

        1. Has anyone done a study of what each train ride costs, including all costs like interest. I’m guessing that $20 to $30 wouldn’t be all that far out. A bus ride is likely around $4 cost.

        2. “Rapid Transit” only works for those who can walk to it. All others take the bus(s), the rest still drive.

      2. Rides were $1.50 back in 1996. Now they are, I believe
        ~ $3.50 ish.

Businesses are closing. Taxes are skyrocketing. What are they going to do for employment, open a few widget factories?

Don’t they see that their little train is a choo-choo train.
Ce n’est pas le Métro à Paris! Ni, Montréal!

        1. During peak hours, Edmonton Transit’s LRT is heavily used, particularly by university students and by people who work downtown. It’s a quick and easy way to get to or from either location and it saves one the bother of looking for parking.

When I was in Calgary during the late 1970s, it often took me the better part of an hour to go to work, even with the old Blue Arrow bus service. The traffic into downtown was bumper to bumper along Memorial and I lived in Marlborough. I had to plan my days accordingly.

During a visit in the mid-1980s, I took the C Train from Marlborough Town Square to downtown and it took something like 10 minutes. It’s hard to argue against something like that.

          1. I have to agree, I took the NW train for 15 years downtown and it was quick, pretty reliable and much cheaper than driving. Calgary has done a good job with trains that actually service areas that need to be serviced.

I find transit became increasing annoying starting in about 2016 when I started seeing a real drop in rider etiquette. In particular the backpack people, not to mention the problems with recession, panhandlers, etc.

However, the green line is jaw dropping expensive, under delivers stations, and seems to retain the focus on downtown, at a time when downtown is damn near dead and won’t be back for decades.

The intent of the line is to service the city straight N and SE, the areas where administration after administration under-planned. IMO our city allowed unchecked sprawl with no real vision for services or their costs (police, fire transit all an afterthought).

          2. The bus routes in Calgary are asinine. Friggin’ random-walk scenic tours that take over twice as long to get me to where I need to go as it should.

          3. Is it just me or what..??

Calgary just finished a “hi speed” Bus only route from the East side of Ingleweed to 52nd St in Forest lawn….Anyone note that the Overpasses across the Deerfoot seem to be incredibly well fortified..?? I mean those STEEL GIRDERs 24-30 Inch high look very similar to what i would expect a CN Rail Bridge to use.

I have not read or heard..but it seems to me these would easily help that route convert into a C-Train route to forest lawn.

          4. BA, we probably rode the same bus sometimes, because I was there until 1980.
My bus stop was 5 doors from my house on 52st and my office was a block from my bus stop down town. I caught am bus before 7 and the pm bus around 530pm, to avoid the crowds.
It saved putting miles on the new muscle car.
I planted a spindly 10ft weeping birch on front lawn in 1973. Went and looked on google maps last year at 519-52st NE. Now it’s a huge beautiful tree so I can say I left a mark on Calgary that i can be proud of.

            Cheers

          5. we probably rode the same bus sometimes, because I was there until 1980.

            Rockyt:

That’s quite likely. The Blue Arrows at those times of day were usually packed solid. I was lucky if I got a seat. Then again, that was when about 20% of Calgary’s population worked downtown, so there were a lot of people heading there.

I used to live in an apartment right next to Marlborough Town Square, so I didn’t have far to go to catch the bus downtown. I worked in an office across the railway tracks, so I had a bit of walk ahead of me after disembarking.

When I left to start grad studies at UBC, construction on the C Train had started.

    2. Eventually, the Purple Princess will want a purple LRT line to go wth his Max Purple bus route. It will happen. There are too many stupid voters in Calgary.

      1. Perhaps the purple line can go through the Nenshi tunnel. You know the $400 million tunnel under the airport runway.

      1. So how do you predict Pakistan would react to this?
Would they choose India that they have border disputes with, or China that send muslims to concentration camps and harvest organs and they also share a border with that seems ill defined?
Would they choose to stay out and wait then facing whoever is still standing after in the hopes they are weakened?
Would there be a 3 way war?

Realistically, the CCP is structured the same as every dynasty of Chinese warlords, but they are pursuing a combination of marxism and mercantilism. These are the ideologies responsible for most of the horrors of the 18th, 19th, and 20th century. They are eventually coming for us all.

        1. Have to agree with D.M. and disagree with M.M. on this one. India would need help here, hopefully from the U.S.

        2. 3 way wars turn into world wars. No doubt both sides will expect Canada & the US to cooperate with them.

So which way does Canada’s Indian’s (Hindu & Sikh), Pakistanis, Tibetans, Chinese mainland, Chinese Honky’s push little potato’ to intervene?

          1. Hopefully we will have the sense to stay out. It is not our circus and those are not our monkeys.

      1. They had something like 113 cases in 3 days? Theyre very happy to pull the trigger early both literally and figureatively.

        1. You did not answer my question the last time so I ask again: you’re fellating Chicoms out of genuine affection or do they pay you?

          1. Well Alan, questions are multiplying. So are you going to tell us if you’re a useful idiot or just a whore?

  5. #UN SECURITY COUNCIL SEAT who will be the winner…
    today is Decision Day.

Just how many pandemics is that flaneur planning?

    https://torontosun.com/opinion/columnists/lilley-trudeau-supports-terror-backing-group-in-bid-for-un-seat

    From the piece:
“Justin Trudeau announced on Monday, with few details, that Canada would provide airlift support to deliver pandemic supplies to the neediest countries.

Offering to deliver pandemic supplies is noble and worthwhile and as long as the government isn’t once again shortchanging Canadians, then this is a good move.”

Yeah, no shortchanging Canadians? What a joke!

    1. Re UN Security Council seat: I wonder how many countries China has influenced not to vote for Trudeau?

      1. Zero – Dictatorships like China love l Usefull Idiots in their pocket.

Having Blackface on the UN council is like another 1/2 vote for China, and the full elimination of 1 vote of someone credible.

        1. China has a veto, so I don’t think they need Trudeau.

Right now China is trying to get the Hauwei exec released. So I think China will make life difficult for Trudeau.

    2. Even if Dear Leader would get his fondest wish, he may well be in for a real shock. He’s going to find out quite quickly that the rest of the world won’t be paying attention to, let alone praising, him each time he breaks wind.

    3. Pointed out previously.

In a global forum to where votes are made public, who would want everyone to know they voted for the court jester?

    4. Presumably, Trudeau wants this seat so Canada (read Liberals) can influence the world. Given that the Liberals are doing such a disastrous job of managing Canada, I do not think their influence on the world stage would in any way benefit the world. The other result if Canada gets the seat is even less attention paid to the needs of our own country. In my view, a “win” by Trudeau is a lose, lose for everyone else.

      1. I believe there are two seats up for grabs. Trudeau is bound to get one. Probably was not worth the 2 million spent on campaigning.

  6. I really don’t give a damn Allan s(shithead)
You are a chinaman troll who is trying to tell us china didn’t flood North America with fentanyl and didn’t unlease the corona virus on the world.

  7. I was just musing to myself on my long drive home. I wonder how much money I could get granted from setting up a bank account and writing a form letter to besieged leftist mayors and governors to ask for money for an antifa memorial for fallen SJW’s and comrades.

  8. Does anyone know exactly what Wendy Mesley said to get her suspended?
I can’t find it anywhere.Just that she used a “word that should never be used” during an interaction with coworkers. Plus the heavily tax payer funded CBC as shut down their comment section regarding this subject. Orwellian sh** stains.

    1. Agreed. I think she used the nasty word”nigger”, though our thoroughly beaten-down culture I to intimidated to use the word in news reports. I googled the word on the CBC web site, and there are 22 references to the word.

        1. Also the small country of Montenegro should be shunned, until it can be pressured to change its horrid name — to something like woke, social, environment — or something like these. Awful what we have to put up with.

        2. Ahnult should also have to change his surname. After all, what does Schwarzenegger mean? Mind you, he might be able to redeem himself if his famous movie line was re-edited as “I’ll be black.”

          1. You’re welcome.

It amuses me how liberals tie themselves into knots in an effort to appear pure.

      1. In fairness I have heard reports that she read the word “ginger” from a provided document.
        Nobody expects the Spanish Inquisition.

    2. They need to publicly whip her Sharia Court style in front of parliament, and then put her in a Saudi jail!

Measles has been corrupting Canadian media with leftist FAKE NEWS for decades, time to reap what she sowed!

      1. Your name is TOBY, “I’m Aunt Jemima” *crack,
Your name is TOBY, “Aunt Jemima” *crack
        “TOBY” *crack,

Ok Massa Democrat liberal, no more preeeease, “My name is Toby”…………………

      2. We have all had AJ pancakes since childhood. The woke culture claims to think that Ms. Jemima’s image is racist, but I for one fail to see this. The dominant culture is at home with rap music, violent street gangs, drug running and the like. It is a puzzle why our establishment sees the latter as good, but somehow AJ is seen as bad.

      3. Oh no, my favourite aunt is being executed by the PC Police.
And I’m not racist; the survivors are all white!

      4. So — Black culture with its rich heritage of wonderful foods is also under attack. Soon we will be living in a cultural vacuum.

        1. Very close already. To be expected when you systematically replace real culture with manufactured pop culture.

      5. I haven’t had that problem for more than 40 years. I’ve been making pancakes from scratch since after I moved out of my parents’ house in the late 1970s.

All that fuss for what’s really nothing more than a bag full of flour, baking powder, salt, and sweetener. Oh, I forgot–I’m still racist as those ingredients are–wait for it!–white.

  9. In Sunny Ways Ontario new orders that there can be no singing or dancing on outdoor patios at bars or restaurants, and certainly no singing in churches. However you are encouraged by politicians and the media to swarm on streets and shout or chant about racism. Funny old country isn’t it.

      1. Islam doesn’t allow singing during its services. So maybe the dominant establishment — pro-Islam as they are –will see the light.

      2. When singing your mouth is open more hence more spread. The worst of this BS is the taxpayers probably paid some liberal egghead millions in grants to figure this out!

    1. Some religions are more equal than others, I guess.
The religion of leftism is the most ‘equal’.

  10. O J, funny it is not, not even funny peculiar. The people are both ignorant and stupid but sadly their ignorance and stupidity hurts all of us. As I have said many times, if only they were effected by their idiocy I would not care.

    1. O.J. and O.W.G.: what is interesting is that the hypocrisy is obvious to everyone, but our paid-for media are too cowed to discuss the disconnect. Brian Lilley asked the question to Trudeau at a cottage presser last week, and the Star’s Chantal Herbert wrote a column on it. But there is dead silence from the corrupt media cartel.

  11. Today’s column from Ivison at NP is titled “Leslynn Lewis finds her voice”.

I’m sceptical that any praise toward a conservative leadership candidate from Ivison has an ulterior motive that had its inception from Katie Telford.

    1. That’s a silly take on your part.

It has to be LL. If the CPC had any brains they’d just hand her the role.

      1. She is good and refreshingly honest, but Canadians ( steered by the media) would not accept a social conservative as PM — even though her positions are quite reasonable. We are too far gone.

        1. Agreed. Wynne’s continued reelection in Ontario despite a disastrous economic record and Menshi’s continued reelection in Calgary under similar circumstances leads me to conclude that we have a new electoral phenomenon, diversity elected. Similar to diversity hires but elected instead. Boy are we screwed!

  12. Who said the Canadian Media was an investigative hullabaloo’in malarkey magnet?

Who said that New Brunswick was as dangerous as a twizzler chompin muppet?

Who said the Saint John police are nothing but dog-faced flat-footed lollygaggers?

    Today’s big story:

Saint John Police investigate Golf Cart Theft!

    It’s getting dangerous out there.

Thanks to Joe for the descriptives.

    1. Eerily accurate.
Now do one with fake media, err, the fake media.
The fake media players played by fake media players.
      Got it.

  13. The CBCs Fifth Estate has a rare diamond-in-its-coal-field story, about millionaire-fashion-designer Peter Nygard raping and sexually abusing young women, some under 18 years of age:
    https://newsinteractives.cbc.ca/longform/peter-nygard-1

Anyways, a search through the Elections Canada political contribution site shows that the rich man contributed some $10,850 to the federal Liberals (zero amounts to other parties). If interested in an EXCEL spreadsheet on this, please email me at dmurrell@unb.ca. (You must type in my email address by hand to make this work).

P.s., I do not like socially-progressive rich men grabbing at young women and girls. That is my bias.

  14. Gunter at the Toronto Sun website has good take on Blackie’s obsession with the UN.

  15. Remember this guy? (billary’s running mate and Harvard grad.

Tim Kane just said the USA created “slavery”

Really, so we build the Pyramids too?

Just maybe Harvard isn’t that great of a college after all.

    1. Or it’s proof any university will grant any degree as long as enough cash is provided and of course, you have the right pedigree. Maintaining Feudalism can be expensive.

  16. Interestingly, the NDP is on board with Moe’s measures. Moe’s The Man. When he’s done with Saskatchewan maybe Alberta should borrow him.

You also left out the best part: ““The advice that I would have to Saskatchewan law-abiding gun owners is you have two years to abide by the initiatives that have been put in place by the federal government,” Moe said.

“It’s quite likely there will be an election between now and then. I wouldn’t rush up to register our guns to turn them over to the federal government.””

    Dat sass.

  17. On that gun grab ,friend told me yesterday that the trend is ,Write RETURN to SENDER,on the RCMP letter.
    As a low key protest.
Me ,I am moving to a few hundred rounds/weapon and grease/pvc and dirt nap.
I think of these as mini shrines to Saint Allan Rock.

However does anyone know how we self identify as Metis?
As I understood that Supreme Court Ruling,Metis are now equal in victimhood and privilege with Treaty Indians and one can be Metis by self identifying as such and having a recognized Metis organization/Band agree with your claim..

If so what an opportunity, for I know many hard working decent people of Metis Descent, here we have been handed a gift, which can neuter the Gun Grab and blow the “Separate But Equal” Canadian Apartheid system to dust.
If a few Metis get rich along the way?
    Well thats capitalism Eh?

    “We are all Metis Now”.

We could have Identity again, for Metis are the true Western Canadians, before there was a Canada.
Buffaloing all the “Post National Eastern Elitist Scum”.

  18. Please spread far and wide.
If this isnt the greatest form of conservative protest, I dont know what is:

    – The mob gets to “deal with” some “hate crimes”.
    – A few might get educated on why their world view is skewed.
    – A little $$$ for Trump’s re-election campaign.
    Everyone wins!

And if the dems try the reverse, it wont work. Trumpers don’t go around destroying property.
    Brilliant!

  19. Blacklock reports that Blackie’s government will spend 120 million dollars this year on advertising to tell Canadians to wash their hands and social distance.

  20. Post Millennial reports that activists want the name of the province of British Columbia changed because it represents colonialism. Well they can’t give it an indian name because indians had slaves. Maybe they can call it the People’s Socialist Republic Of Whack Jobs.

    1. The Left Coast ,has covered them for years.
My late Uncle lived on the Islands all his 92 years,he claimed the problem was, that every loser there ever was on the continent were encouraged to “Go West” seek your fortune..
      Until they hit the coast.
Hippies infested the coastal Islands squatting on any vacant or public land..
Until BC cut paying Welfare, for people who chose to live where no work existed.
After these same Hippies blockaded the loggers ,shutting down forestry..
Now they Vote NDP and wonder why there is no economy.

  21. Oh Noooooo! Great Leader didn’t get his UN Security Seat. Must be Harper’s fault. So do taxpayers get a refund for the four million dollars he spent on the campaign?

    1. OJ: If only it was as little as 4 million. With the many promises the Dear Leader made to tin-pot dictators around the world, the total cost is probably closer to 400 million.

  22. Breaking: the CBC News web page is reporting that Canada has lost its bid for a UN Security Counvil seat.

Lots of cringing and wailing in upper-crust Ottawa overvthis. The CBC will be in tears.

    1. To paraphrase Justin, “Canada is back, way back.”

The world sent a message that they don’t want virtue lectures from the hypocrite in chief, Justin Trudeau.

Now Justin will stay in his cottage for many months.

    2. The CBC is blaming the Jews. They state that Canada is to neutral when it comes to Israel which turned off support from muslim countries.

    1. That’s the best news I heard all day. Unfortunately they had a secret ballot so we don’t know who our friends are. I wanted a new country and thought this vote might give me a hint. Oh well, I’m still locked down so I have lots of time to look around.

I hope JT and his cronies lay awake all night long wondering what went “wrong”.

  24. When is an indigenous lawyer with a complaint, especially a very serious one, ignored by the CBC and the rest of the mainstream media?
When her complaint is the following:

“Indigenous lawyer Catherine Twinn noted to me recently that the principle of “equal justice under law” that American protesters are fighting for does not always apply here. This is because since 2015, the federal government has left law and order mostly up to tribal chiefs and councils.

“Do Canada’s values permit those First Nation chiefs — some of who are mini Trumps — to systematically violate equal justice under law to those they govern, enabled by Canada’s blind and deferential eye? When is this conversation going to open up?” she asked.”

    1. That is the heart of Progressive foulness.
In “enlightened Canada” a native woman on Reserve has no human rights at all.
      No defenders.
No law to protect her as a human.
And our, expletive, effete elites are so proud of the Canadian Apartheid System.
As one gal commented years ago,”Better a crack whore in Saskatoon than stay home on the Res.”

To top it off,it is a “hate Crime” to point this out.
Liberalism is a progressive disease, identical to Gangrene.
