  1. Let’s see.

The judge in a case against a falsely accused person, a case which has been dropped by the prosecution because of the falsity of the accusation, and a judge who hires his lawyer pals to argue against the dropping of the case, has now hired lawyers to represent himself.

    hmm. Judicial corruption anyone?

  2. I love the thoughtful application of just a small number of words to express one’s feelings.
The bird should be teaching high school English.

  3. The cockatoo wasn’t speaking like we do but, instead, mimicking sounds that it has remembered. Those sounds include fragments of human speech, thereby giving the impression that it’s talking.

Yet, those sounds aren’t necessarily random. It’s quite likely that the bird recognizes that they have meaning and context. He was displaying anger and knew which of those sounds would express it.

Maybe the best example of that was the famous African grey parrot Alex. I remember listening to a radio program about him, which included an exchange between him and his keeper, Dr. Irene Pepperberg. She had some kernels of corn on hand and she asked him what colour they were.  He answered correctly that they were yellow.

There were other similar examples and he gave appropriate answers. That indicated not only that he was reasoning but that he knew what words he would need to respond.

    Clever critters…..

    1. Alex lived a good life and was so loved. He even knew when he was ‘going.’ Check this out, it is very heartwarming:

      And so the experiments continued…

An observation from these videos —
Alex never said that an object was a “square” or a “rectangle,” instead, he always said “four corners!”

He said his snack, the corn, was “cold” and / or “soft” as well!

      Indeed, clever critters.

    2. “wasn’t speaking like we do but, instead, mimicking sounds that it has remembered. Those sounds include fragments of human speech, thereby giving the impression that it’s talking” – sounds like how Justin Trudeau does his speeches…

  4. Pebble is the greatest!
She communicates her sincerest feelings better than most people.

  5. Isn’t this supposed Funny Video just Animal Cruelty?

Look here Jo-Jo. You see your cage, the place you have spent thousands and thousands of hours of your life? I am going to stomp on it, destroy and then use your distress over the loss of your home to make a humorous video. The poor bird is obviously expressing its distress. Now the bird will live with its owner for years and years, wondering if it will happen again, or if the owner will escalate? Imagine if instead of a bird, it was the guy’s girlfriend instead?

    Ain’t that funny?
