  1. The Liberals are perfectly free to refuse to answer any question they don’t like because their (expletive deleted) sycophants in the media refuse to actually cover the news.

    Wexit.

    1. I have tried and tried to convince all of my credit card companies that they aren’t risking economic devastation by extending my credit … but they are “investing” … in my well being. Perhaps if I had a Finance Minister to argue my case? Or perhaps I should simply convert to Islam and emigrate to Canada as a Refugee from Trump’s mean States of America?

    2. You forgot about their Low Info sycophant voters, that don’t care and don’t understand what deficits are nor how it affects them. Actually, I’ll correct myself, they don’t believe the deficits affect them negatively.
Until the dollar tanks and affects the costs of all imported food and goods.
Until it affects the price of gas.
      Until it increases the GST.
Until it increases other Fed taxes.
But then it would still be Harrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrpurrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrssssssss FAULT!

There should be no votes allowed unless you own property, a house, a condo or a business.

The takers are destroying this country, thanks to the thoroughly corrupt LIEBrawl —nts.

      1. I will continue to spend my BIG AMERICAN dollars in Canada … and donate to Kate, with a 30% kicker

      2. “There should be no votes allowed unless you own property, a house, a condo or a business.”

Not sure about that. I think a better solution would be to prohibit from voting anyone who is on social assistance. This of course would include all publik sektor “workers”, or students who are just drawing a different form of welfare. If one is paying own bills and rents there is no reason to prevent them from voting. On the other hand, if one owns taxpayer funded real estate they have no business voting how much more the taxpayers should give them.

It all gets back to the idea of two wolves and a lamb voting what is for dinner. Nurses dancing in empty hospital have no problem with the lockdown. Put them on 2K salary, same amount as the people who lost their employment or business due to lockdown get, and we will see how much dancing there will be. And not just nurses, anyone from PM Socks down should not be getting more than 2K. What’s good for the goose etc

        1. Voting in an election is futile, there are no more elections. They are known as selections, and there isn’t a single voting booth in Canada, unless you fit in with the in-crowd … you know… those pedophiles and lawmakers and liars and cheats and in some cases, murderers. The reason Morneau and all Liberals do not answer questions is because if they told Canadians the truth, the traitors that they are … would be hung on gallows. Got to go … time for my buttercup.

          1. Agree – if we knew half the truth about these twisted bastards in the HOC our eyeballs would roll.

Best I can hope for is what’s going on down in the US right now to blow open some corruption and the truth

  2. Wow, we’re truly screwed.
this has me thinking that we need to implement a “Thank a Liberal Voter” day in this country. I’m sure there’s all sorts of creative things we could come up with to honour them.

    1. HVB, it was difficult to watch the level of stupid on display. With voters that are even dumber than those in parliament I guess letting the Chinese take over will be an improvement.

  3. Unbelievable! What a bunch of yahoo’s running this country. I want a new country!

  4. The finance minister has clearly taken his lesson on responding to questions in the house from the PM.

A trillion dollars is the number being tosses around on the social networks.

It sounds like quite a bit to me.

    1. One trillion, is that not about 29 million per Canadian? That would be for every trillion, if there is more as Watcher has stated. If Watchers numbers are close, that would be a mere 145 million per Canadian. I got that, does anyone else?

      1. 1 trillion, (1,000,000,000,000) divided by 37 million Canadians yields $27,000 each.

        1. Have linked this several times lately. Needs to be seen more often.
Current Canada national debt on May 14, 2020 = $740.4 billion, and counting. (1000 billion = 1 trillion)
Was $731 billion just a few days ago.
Also shown is ‘your share’ and you can see the provincial numbers via the ‘Provincial DebtClocks’ dropdown at top.

          CANADA’S FEDERAL DEBT

          1. Yes. Let’s not forget we’re talking about Federal Government debt here. Provincial debt is much worse. Newfoundland has been effectively bankrupt since February 2020. It is only nominally solvent because the Federal Government has had to guarantee all NFLD provincial borrowing much like a parent “co-signing” for a teenager’s student loan.
This entire house of cards is only standing because the world’s central bankers have artificially lowered interest rates to essentially zero, and have printed gobs of “new” money to fill in the gaps. This activity will work until all-of-a-sudden it doesn’t.

  5. It is rather disappointing that Pierre Poilievre does not want to be the leader of the CPC.
All the rest of the ‘Conservatives’ put together have less guts to bring up a good argument.
One can understand that he has more power of argument since he does not have to respond to the media cartels idiotic questions not being a leadership candidate.

The Liberal fascists will continue to continue with their continuation and continue into the continuous future.

Interesting that there is no compelling device to make the useless idiot to answer the question.
What’s the point of parliament when you can’t get answers to rather simple questions.

Then of course there is the Liberal fascists hidden agenda.
This morning in the Calgary herald, an article said that this Morneau character wants to buy, as in shares, into Canadian companies.
Yes, fascism is on the rise.

    1. Great comment Lev,
I think (hope?) Pierre Poilievre is biding his time.

Canada & the Conservative party are both approaching separate but linked dates with destiny.

In the meantime, Pierre continues to give advanced political communication tutorials.

    2. Exactly. He would be at the top of the ballot for me, as well. I think he made a personal choice to wait. Young family? Also, he needs a major Ministerial portfolio before being a PM, especially in a crisis scenario. He is awesome as an opposition member.

  6. Just as well I will never be an MP – I’d probably walk up to that idiot and smack him in the face.

Both he and the PM just repeat the same evasive drivel like demented parrots.

Who was it who said that if elected, they would be the most transparent government ever??

    1. Mark Absent: EXACTLY!! The SECRET AGENDA that they kept saying Harper had WAS THEIRS AND THEIRS ALONE!! Vote out the LIBERALS and TRUDEAU next election.

  7. The talk eminating out today is that there is a risk that Canada could lose its credit rating, but don’t worry cause Canada is politically stable.
I take this talking point to be as credible as those ones back in December and January about some illness emanating from Wuhan China that was contained.
At this rate the west will get its new country because this one will be liquidated.

      1. A collapse will happen sooner or later. Better it happen under Trudeau’s watch. Flush it all away in one fell swoop.

  8. There are very few checks and balances in Canada’s political system. Those that exist on paper are ineffective in practice. No effective borders, no rule of law (rail blockades), no political accountability (ethics breaches, SNC Lavlin, missing infrastructure bank money, etc). Ottawa is a mess of corruption and cronyism.

    Canada is a failed experiment.

    1. Experiments are difficult to complete when a turd is stuffed into the test tube.

      1. The Canadian political experiment lacks systems to police bad politicians. When the PM appoints every official watchdog from top to bottom, signs party nomination papers and buys off “independent” watchdogs with taxpayer cash (looking at journalists and media) the appearance of unchecked fraud and corruption was inevitable.

The design of the Canadian political experiment was flawed because it relies too much on honorable people who have integrity and can resist temptation. Not many politicians, bureaucrats or independent watchdogs fit that ideal. The political design should reflect that reality.

        1. “…relies too much on honorable people who have integrity and can resist temptation. Not many politicians, bureaucrats or independent watchdogs fit that ideal. …”

Too few voters have integrity and the will to resist temptation.

    2. L-Let me correct that comment: “Canada is a failed state, in the making.”

The Road to Perdition is paved with utopian intentions. Without investor confidence Canada cannot fully recover from the “shelter in place” recession.

The Trudeau regime sliding into a depression like a child on a water slide.

I’m waiting for Polievre to ask what amounts of the Canadian economy and pension plans, public and private, are owned/controlled by the Communist Party of China.

      1. I too think current situation will result in long term economic pain. A viscous cycle that will be hard to avoid.

But, I say Canada is a failed experiment because of long standing problems that go back to the design of the Canadian political system. The power of the PM is massive in far too many areas.

        1. the real question is who, which politicians the CCP owns and/or controls ???

  9. Ask any leftist politician – “yes” or “no” – does he/she/it need to use the restroom. He/She/It will soil their pants before actually answering.

Moron-o’s dicking around indicates Venezuela North is just around the corner.

  10. The chicoms have full confidence in Canada. The are buying it up.

Bongo is the only world leader who is standing with the chicoms. 14% of Canadians are ok with china.

The bongs world view is that held by the UN. No country is in lockstep with china like Canada is

Bongo isn’t trolling for a 3rd rate seat on the Security Council he wants the big chair. It’s the next step in his ‘vision’ of himself as ‘world leader’.

    1. I agree. Trudeau has been auditioning since he was born on Christmas Day all those many years ago as if he’s a gift to the World. It was all planned, long ago. Here is a glimpse of his audition:

      https://time.com/4795597/justin-trudeau-emmanuel-macron-photos/

He’ll get that U.N. top job if it’s the last thing he does….at the expense of trashing Canada to hell. Its a job and a chance for any narcissist to become an egomaniac and then the ultimate megalomaniac.

      1. Nancy, it is, therefore, imperative that Trump withdraw funding from the UN. A major donor like the US removing all money would collapse the UN.

IF Justin were to get that seat, it would be short-lived and meaningless. Rather like giving a child a battery-operated toy with no batteries. To see him impotently lash out at everyone would be snack-worthy viewing.

        1. What could Little Potato say at the UN, that Saint Greta didn’t already bless us with last year?

Other than “How Dare You”, of course.

      2. I’m reminded of this bit from P. J. O’Rourke:

“Giving money and power to government is like giving whiskey and car keys to teenage boys.”

He must have had (what used to be) Canada in mind.

        1. I like this version better:

“Giving money and power to government is like giving whiskey and car keys to Ted Kennedy.”

  11. Not that I want to paraphrase the esteemed Senator Mike Duffy….however

“If they wanted to demand a response, they would have called it ‘Answer Period'”

I’m in Ontario….how do I become eligible for Wexit? This is not going to end well.

    1. Keep voting Liberal, like your urban Ontario neighbours reflexively cannot stop doing. Sooner or later they’ll destroy everything.

  12. I’m old enough to remember when only a 20-billion-dollar annual deficit was being forecast. Good times.

  13. Questions I’m interested in:

What percent of CPP investments currently sits in PRC – Peoples Republic of China?

What percent of CCP premiums have gone to PRC this year?

Has CCP $ flow to RPC now stopped? If so, when? If not, why not?

We also need to know what $$ amounts PRC has in Canada? Lots of drill down questions from here…

  14. What a contrast! One politician seeking the unvarnished truth, and another blatantly keeping us in the dark.

  15. When PE Trudeau took power Canada had over 1000 metric tonnes of Gold Reserves in Ottawa. Canada had a 20B dollar debt.
Now the gold is all gone sold off by Liberals and Cons, and the Total Public Debt is around 5-6Trillion all in, do visions of Venezuela not come to mind, just add snow.
Why do Canadians think that Venezuela can not happen to Canada. Socialism, massive public debt what could go wrong. I think the reckoning is coming soon. This is how empires fall, this is how countries disappear.
You can vote your way into socialism, but history tells us you have to shoot your way out.
Get ready for a wild ride. Get ready for steep inflation in food, keeping in mind with a 50-60 cent dollar you are not going to buy a whole lot of groceries, because Canada does not feed itself. Low dollar good for exports bad for those who eat. We import massive amounts of everything. Venezuela North with snow. https://torontosun.com/2014/04/11/all-levels-of-canadian-government-debt-total-41-trillion/wcm/5ce2d058-f666-4105-8ace-a7be79c9d674

    1. Why don’t Kanuckistanians believe Venezuela is around the corner? Because you just cannot fix stupid.

      1. The average Canadian would have absolutely no idea what you’re talking about when referencing Venezuela’s situation. In fact, I would be willing to bet that the majority of Canadians would have difficulty pointing out Venezuela on a map of the world. Yup. You can’t fix stupid.

        1. If we’re lucky we will get to the “Greece” situation before “Venezuela” (ie. “almost” bankrupt, severe financial hair-cuts and write-downs). That would wake enough Canadians to rid ourselves of Liberals and Trudeau before any super-serious damage occurs. It would hurt like hell, but may not be fatal.

  16. Often I am reminded of “The Simpsons” (when it was good).

In one episode, after a night-time burglary, Lisa asks Marge if the family is insured. Marge goads Homer into telling Lisa that instead of buying insurance, he spent the family’s money on magic beans which he blames.

Ladies and gentlemen, this country has gone full-Simpsons.

  17. The ROT begins in Quebec City and tails off in Kenora.

In between you have a Province (Quebec), preferred home of the oft quoted “Laurentien Elite, it’s filled with 8 million utterly arrogant French “Canadians” , the majority of which would drop the “Canadian” moniker in a heartbeat. Genetically predisposed to full on corruption in all forms, they could teach the Mafia,a thing or two.

The Next Province over…Ontario, initally filled with Empire Loyalists, all with a now generational hatred of the United States. They now compete for supremacy among the Hordes of various world wide low life with both groups habitually voting Liberal.

Outside of the GTA and to the North, is the only area where one could find anything even resembling Conservatives.

So we have a country, where fully half the population is most likely to ALLWAYS vote Liberal, or Left.

Those who come to Ottawa, regardless of political leaning have in the past and will continue to a man/woman be forced to bend the knee & kiss the Ring of the Cabal that truly runs this country: The MSM – Laurentien Elites – Bay Street – Muslim Brotherhood and now the CCP.

The fix has been in since 1867…and not one Goddamned thing will ever change. NEVER.

Alberta and Saskatchewan remain part of this utter BS WHY….???

    1. This is how Empires Fall, This is how countries disappear. This is how countries are born. I look on the coming collapse as Alberta and Sask. good fortune. Now is our time to say Vaya Con Dios.
Personally I hope Alberta joins the USA. After all the Americans have supported us and our families far more than Canada. The USA buys 80% of everything we produce. Beef, lumber, oil and gas.
In fact historically southern Alberta at one time belonged to the USA under the Louisiana Purchase.
One of Alberta’s better options in my opinion. The 51st State movement is gaining ground in Alberta. Yes a long trail. But when they clean out your granaries, hunger can be a strong motivator.

  18. It’s too late, the ship of state has deliberately rammed the iceberg. Whether or not the Minister knows how fast the ship is sinking, or even whether he realizes it, does not matter. Buy gold, and lots of it.

  19. A few Trillion here, a few Trillion there, and before long we’re talking real money.

    1. Yeah well, they’re Canuck Bucks, so we’re only talking about $50 ” real money”.

  20. The Watcher has better numbers than the Finance Minister (who will not answer a simple yes or no question with either of the answer but wants to preach from a stump). If you have friends that voted Liberal, send them this link so that they can understand the “stupidity of Liberal thinking” for themselves.

    1. CC Canadians are not getting this yet. But when Canada gets a massive Credit Downgrade which I have been watching for, and perhaps the IMF steps in like they did with Chretien and Martin. And they sold off the gold and stole 54B out of the UI Fund to hold them off. Ottawa will be forced by outside lenders to start shutting down program spending. And shoppers take less and less home in groceries with the same wages if they even have a job. The Shumer will well and truly hit the rotating device. I expect this will take awhile because the state controlled media will never lay blame were it belongs. And it belongs on all Canadian voters first, and then all greasy Politicians of every stripe. But it is what it is now. Now all we can do is prepare to survive the bastards. One Hand For The Ship, One Hand For Our Lives.

  21. My fellow proles, if Dear Leader had thought that our national debt was worth worrying about, he would have told us what it was. Meanwhile, let us continue toiling endlessly to build the perfect Soviet state for that is the sole reason for our existence.

    1. Your comment should be taken very seriously.
It’s not for nothing that he is tossing money around. Its not for nothing that he has introduced anti-speech laws. It’s not for nothing that he has legislated very restrictive gun laws. I could go on but you know the details. Most importantly it is not for nothing that he has aligned out country with China.
He, like his Old Man admire socialism and dictatorial regimes.

  22. Watcher has it right.
Another selling point for joining the USA,as Canada crumbles,is their access to Alaska.
Not only are the Western hinterlands more American than Canadian, but we would bring an expansion of the United States that makes sense.
A borderless country from Mexico to the Arctic Ocean.
As a stand alone country we will still be better off in every way, separating ourselves from the Idiocy of Ottawa.
The fact that voters can return to power, even as a minority, such creatures as these Liberal Style Politicians, confirms my “faith”.

We know we cannot do business with liars and expect to prosper.
But the Liars know they can steal from all using the force of government.
The posted performance should be national news, for the contempt that creature displays toward every taxpayer..As with his twin bobblehead sidekicks.
However with a coopted News Media, firmly in the Liberal Style Tank long before they started getting taxpayer dollars, this will not only go unreported but PP will be castigated as a Right Wing Nutter, for daring to demand any sign of intelligence from our “Finance Minister”.
    Stupidity this dense cannot stand.

  23. Osumashi..

1000% CORRECT. I too would be exstatic if the President of the US told the UN. ADIOS Mofo’s….No more money and oh, btw, you are ALL EVICTED…

    Git…

  24. The “take away” here is that a Liberal minority government + 38 Quebec separatist MPs run the country.
Nothing the #LibCons “opposition” can do.

They can’t even get a vote of non confidence against Blackie & his globalist goons.

    Laughable. Them and Canada.

  25. “What is your favorite colour, Minister?”

“We are committed to blah blah blah blah blah.”

Pierre Poilievre is racking up material for advertisements.
Is it possible that a Conservative politician understands messaging and communication???

    1. Not a bloody chance.
The idiot Conservatives, note the capital C*, would not touch it with a 10 foot pole.

*Capital C conservatives denotes those that would like to pretend to be conservative, like in Alberta, to get into the position of power. Viz steady idiot Eddy and completely useless Redford. Reserve inclusion of Kenney until there are some results, if any.

  26. How does the speaker let them get away with out answering the Question ? Shouldn’t the speaker say you haven’t answered the
Question . If you don’t no you have till tomorrow to get the answer . What the point of parliament if they are allowed to make these
little speeches with out answering? Yes we need a new country.

    1. You want to make the Speaker the person to decide what is true and what is false?
Don’t forget: the speaker is Liberal MP from Northern Ontario.
You’re just replacing a tyranical political party with a tyranical individual. The true solution to this is an unbiased, relentless news media willing and able to expose corrupt governance. (btw: Good luck with that)

  27. Canada’s debt will be so big if this ever ends that the only solution will be to default. If you have money in a Canadian bank you might want to take it out and spend it on something while it still has value.

  28. The reason that Morneau can get away with his near perfect imitation of the Spawn, when he used to stoop to being in the House, is because the electorate that he depends on wouldn’t know where to look to see how he behaves. The Court eunuch media would certainly never show it. The tone was set 50 years ago when the Spawn’s father said, in his distinctively nasal twang, in response to a reporter (remember them?) questioning him on the economy, “the economy is not the end-all and be-all…”.

  29. Well this is Aprils chatter about Canada’s sovereign debt ratings. Note that they say NFLD is at 2.5x GDP and would suffer a 2 level drop in ratings without Ottawa. The Have Nots are calling for Emergency Backstop Funding. How is it NFLD is rated bad at 2.5x GDP yet Canada is AAA with a ratio of GDP 1.5 to debt of 5-6x GDP. Somebody is doing you know what to somebody. Anyway they have the microscope out for the colonoscopy. https://business.financialpost.com/news/economy/canadas-aaa-on-the-line-as-oil-crash-hits-debt-loaded-provinces

      1. CORRECTION:
The United States, the European Union, China, and possibly Great Britain can print money. Canada can print its Monopoly money and even get away with it for few short years before defaulting. Newfoundland, all the provinces, and cities cannot print money.

  30. The Blockheads long ago abandoned separatism. They are defacto libranos because it works for them. They will never bring the government down. Nor will their collaborators the ndp/gpc.

Imagine the money being stolen through procurement with this out of control spending? More announced everyday with not a hint of accountability. Parliament is bascically suspended. The prime minister is in a minority government and answers to no one.

Quebek must be rolling in dough. Why would the blockheads object?

  31. It truly sickens me that the two people in the country that hold the (allegedly) highest offices in the land have not accomplished a single thing by themselves. Their entire careers have been because of their fathers. Anything Le Dauphin has done has been a complete lark. Morneau, the great captain of corporate Canada, only rose to prominence because of his father. No doubt Morneau senior called Mr. Demarais and asked him to get junior a job in government. (The truly highest office in the land is the corner office at Power Corporation)

There are many reasons why Canada can no longer exist as a nation. The two simpletons are merely a symptom of why this is true; the fact that a significant portion of the population overlooks the fact that two patently stupid, incompetent, and quite frankly dishonest people can be elected to their office shows that Canada is clearly headed for disaster

    Dead country walking

I will add that as part of our independence from the ROC, we will take ALL THE FEDERAL debt of Canada on two conditions; we get all of BC outside of the lower mainland and Vancouver Island, and the debt remains denominated in Canadian Dollars

    1. TRUE. The real power in Canada inevitable lands on someone with the surname Desmarais. Our foreign policy is in the hands of people named Goldenberg, Chretien, Barton, etc..

  32. And we thought Trudeau the elder had fck’d us.

Trudeau the younger; “hold my light beer”.
