Chinada

Bought and paid for;

Three years ago, Amnesty International Canada and the Canadian Coalition on Human Rights in China warned the federal government about Chinese intimidation and harassment of Canadian human rights activists on home soil.

Nothing happened.

On Tuesday, they tried again, releasing an update that warns of “an urgent and deteriorating situation” and “a confusing and piecemeal system” where individuals have largely given up asking Canadian authorities for protection.

Canadians of Tibetan, Uyghur, Taiwanese and Chinese descent, supporters of Hong Kong’s democracy movement and the Falun Gong all report having been targeted by Chinese government officials and surrogates — who include an army of international students as well as both privately and publicly funded community organizations. […]

The 52-page report offers plenty of examples taken from interviews as well as media reports.

Collected and presented together in the context of intelligence reports that for years have warned about China’s rising interference in Canada’s domestic affairs, the latest report paints a picture that will come as a shock to some.

More shocking is the inaction of Canadian leaders.

Speaking of which, be wary of the reports of “COVID related hate crimes”. The propaganda effort of the CCP to reframe China as “victim” is both deep and wide.

  1. China is the only country in the world that has millions of people in concentration camps(muslims). Not that muslim countries care.

  2. O J why would anyone care about muslims when they have millions of Chinese in what could be termed a permanent state of lockdown.

  3. Eventually the political damage caused by doing nothing is going to make the obtuse sock monkey squatting at the GG cottage to want something done to deflect blame for doing nothing.
What exactly? My guess would be an initial statement followed by a photo op. When that fails to change public opinion, then perhaps he will try something else, and someone will suggest letting Meng go back to China.
I’ll leave it up for discussion as to why he should do the exact opposite and sign a ministerial order to have her on the next plane to New York.

    1. I agree, Meng should be handed over to the US however, it is likely that the two Michaels being detained in China will then come down with a major attack of Wuhan virus and expire.

      1. The two mikes got put in detention as punishment and the pinkos have no intention of letting them out as an object lesson.
They further intend to inflict more object lessons that don’t get removed even if Meng goes free.
They do this for the unwritten rule of tyrants, because they know nobody will retaliate, particularly the sock monkey.
Once you realize they never bargain, the solution, as you correctly pointed out, is do the thing they don’t expect you would do.
Good example is how Putin handled a hostage taking.
Consider the two Mike’s as lifers that the pinkos have no intention of releasing, then make a public announcement that if they don’t arrive healthy on Canadian soil in 72 hours there is a plane waiting on the tar Mack to fly Meng to New York that is fueled and ready to leave the minute the minister’s pen touches the paper.

  4. Nothing will be done, no carts will be overturned, not even whispers will be tolerated. NOTHING must interfere with Trudeau’s obsessive quest for his two-year campaign of glory on the UN Security Council.

Can you imagine the colossal snit and pouting if he LOSES to Ireland or Norway?

    1. “Can you imagine the colossal snit and pouting if he LOSES to Ireland or Norway?“

To paraphrase the closing lines of “The Maltese Falcon”

“It’s the stuff dreams are made of”

The real kick comes from the ones that blindly supported him in his self aggrandizement. My hope is such a failure would crack through the cognitive dissonance that keeps his supporters from recognizing his mistakes.

        1. This one is different.
This is the one they blame Harper for losing, when really Harper didn’t care if we didn’t get it.
He needs this one to prove something and his supporters feel likewise.
If he loses this one, he can’t blame someone else and if it is so critical to get that his supporters will use it to excuse all the other failures, they would have no excuse to be blind to them.

  5. Any foreigner who tries to intimidate a Canadian resident for political purposes needs to spend 6 months in jail and then have their ass kicked back home, where they can enjoy bat meat for an appetizer and dog meat for the main course.

  6. “China won’t like it. But Canadian politicians aren’t elected by Beijing, yet.
They are elected by citizens whose rights they have sworn to uphold.”

Makes you wonder, Trudeau’s unprecedented wildly expensive scramble for a UN Security Council seat could be an attempt to backstop the Chicoms vs. the USA. Have they encouraged or instructed him to go for it?
He has in fact weakened Canada’s stature in the world, and a temporary seat in an increasingly irrelevant organisation will not do anything to recover it.
Trudeau has been gutting Canada’s economy in support of International organisations whose lack of effeciency and marbling of corruption would make the most venal and jaded of entitled Ottawa mandarins gasp in appreciation. Anyone who seriously cared about the objectives purported to be supported by the WHO and the UN would start by calling for a housecleaning before advancing any more of their taxpayer’s cash. But not the postnational Jolson Trudeau.

    1. Yup. The UN security seat is to bolster China.
Good analysis of Trudeau’s damage to Canada.

  7. What ever happened to Hollywood’s ‘Free Tibet’ virtue signalling?

As for the media’s narrative on attacks on Asians I’ll believe that when I see one personally.
Maybe they are happening but there is no reason to believe the media on it.

    1. Any reports should be treated with the same scepticism that followed the report of the hijab grab in TO.

    1. Yes she is, here’s hoping Anastasia Lin is just getting started.
      Brains, Beauty & Courage.

  8. https://www.cbc.ca/news/health/vaccine-cansino-1.5566216 “The National Research Council of Canada said Tuesday it will work with a Chinese company to try to develop its potential vaccine for COVID-19 more quickly. The Chinese company, CanSino Biologics, is already conducting human clinical trials for its vaccine.”

Am I the only one who thinks this is a really really bad idea???

    1. Yeah, you taking it? It’s a friggin’ virus and virus’ mutate. That vaccine you spent bazillions on and 2 years to develop is useless, but some wag like Mr Microsoft gets richer over the dead bodies waiting for that “miracle cure”.
Here, you want to see how your future “masters” live, spend some time at this space for your ringside seat: https://twitter.com/NonghuaNews
Check out the food and food prep ones. If folks were outraged over the Fukishima nuclear waste going into the ocean, check out Chinah’s contribution. Sorta like fishing for lobster on the Banks after Montreal dumped 8 billion litres of raw sewage. Then there is City of Victoria…. a classic sewage treatment….every damed day. Like Chinah only with 1.3 billion contributors vs what 200K?
      Enjoy your lunch.

      1. Is that one for real? It seems like satire.
I liked the “Wolf Commando” training. Guy held down by two girls while a third girl jumps on his testicles. I pulled a stomach muscle laughing.

        Link to “vaccine” is broken.

        1. It’s similar to Harry ChenPHd (https://twitter.com/PhdParody) the original. it got taken down, unfortunately. An eye opener. Still, it doesn’t discount what the videos portray, all believable. These aren’t actors in them. Ones I liked at Harry Chen showed folks climbing down the outsides of welded shut buildings….and their plunge to their deaths when they missed a handhold on the 10th floor. “Life in Chinah”. I don’t buy any food items that have “Product of China” on the label.

      2. Victoria’s untreated sewage is only relevant as an example of hypocrisy. BC dumps raw sewage in the ocean for whales to eat and Vancouver is one of the biggest exporters, in the world, of that nasty, dirty, coal. All those coal ships are clubbing whales while transporting coal to China to destroy the atmosphere. But don’t let Alberta export anything.

    2. “already conducting human clinical trials ”

start with that particular bit of information, and understand that the probably don’t have any volunteers, and many voluntolds….

if there was a smart reporter, they’d be asking what NRCC is doing to insure that they aren’t complicit in crimes against humanity…

      1. Excellent point. Just who are they doing these human trials on? Maybe those Muslims in reeducation camps, the ones who don’t have any organs worth harvesting.

  9. “More shocking is the inaction of Canadian leaders. ”

    Shocking, but easily explained:

    (a) The Chicomms have Justin and his trashy friends bent naked over a Beijing barrel because of investments and gifts.
    (b) The Indeepers and Greenies are ideological/philosophical soulmates of the CCP
    (c) And as for the Conservatives, well, they’re all shaking and shivering in the crapper, unable to get over their chronic case of the shits.

    1. I am going to go for a made in the USA vaccine myself. At least I can sue them.

  10. “More shocking is the inaction of Canadian leaders. ”

Shocking? Not. Expected is the appropriate word. This is the government of the man who publicly declared his admiration for China’s communist dictatorship. Why would you expect action? He’s on their side!

  11. To start, get a hold of that crazy fucker from the Greyhound Bus and get him to cut off UnMe’s head. It isn’t using it.
Then round up a hundred Chicoms and put them somewhere really shitty, like Shawinigan or Thurso, and don’t release them till the two Mikes are released.
    Send Meng to the States.
Then round up the Liberal Caucus, the PMO and the Privy Council (I know there’s overlap) and send them all to China.
Let Juthtin ‘land’ the plane in Beijing.

    1. “Then round up a hundred Chicoms …”

      Daily.

Keep doing it until there will be no Chicoms with high social credit scores left.

Also open Canada to HK dissidents. Once their dissident status is verified, employ them immediately as guards in Chicom detention centers….
