Who received the loan, what was it for and why was it written off, he asked, not unreasonably.
He has just received the answer from Global Affairs Canada, a department notorious for its imperiousness when it comes to public accountability.
The transaction in question was export-related and deemed to be in Canada’s national interest, he was told.
That was all Baldinelli, or you and I, are entitled to know.

The National Capital Commission is allowed to run a scam on Canadians.
Had a discussion with one former MP, told me that the commission is ingrained money sucking enterprise with no check what so ever. Once they finish “improvements” which translates into demolishing perfectly good structure and replacing it with something that resembles the original.
Once that is finished they just pick another one to demolish and rebuild for no other reason than they get money from the politicians without any questions asked, just blow it on whatever you can.

Both the Business Development Canada and Export Development Canada are useless sink holes that allow the party in power to direct funds to their friends, and then “forgive” the loan at a later date. These entities give out money where a regular bank or investment group declines. That tells me all I need to know about the business plan presented. They need to be shut down, but, we know that will never happen. Every party is a party of pork. What is good for the Liberals is just as good for the Conservatives. The only way any party would shut this down is by the force of their supporters demanding it, and I would say the 98% of Canadians have no idea these entities exist as government slush providers, God knows their commercials don’t make it clear. And why the hell do they need commercials anyway?
