There is a lack of PPE, but we’re making due. No one has to reuse it yet except for a few poorly managed facilities. This shortage has more to due to our LHIN’s inability to manage pandemic stock – which all hospitals were mandated to hold after SARS. Ours was expired, as was most in the Province. Our LHIN thought 3 weeks stock was enough. They based it on normal operating levels. PPE usage increases 150% on average during outbreaks. The 20-something geniuses at the LHIN’s didn’t know that nor did they bother asking people like me who do know. The logistics tail from China is 6 weeks long. . And yet they blame Trump. It’s laughable.
