    1. The USSR attacked Finland in 1939, which ended in a stalemate (1940). This was an embarrassment to the USSR, but the treaty gave the USSR 10% of Finnish territory.

      Finland kicked their asses, but lost 86,000 young men killed and 57,000 wounded disabled.

      Finland sought to bolster its military strength with treaties and alliances. Great Britain and the USA were allied with the USSR against Hitler at the time and therefore would not help Finland.

      Then the Finnish men suffered more casualties when fighting the Germans to keep freedom.

      Now they are trying to make treaties and alliances with the enemy that live within country, live next door and rape their women.

          2. I thought the point of fighting against the Germans referred to the end of the war when Finland was forced by the Siberian Mongols to switch sides and nominally with little practical results engaged German troops that were withdrawing from Finland.
            In any case, regarding your original point, Finland was right to ally themselves against the Soviets. Yes even with Germans.
