      1. Those colors were very popular in the sixties. Mom and Dad had green bathroom fixtures when they sold their place. My mother-in-law’s place had purple fixtures like those featured in the link.

        1. Moi: in 2 rentals– 1 with mauve, another, avocado green baths but nonetheless, sweet suites…hardwood floors and great kitchens –European cabinetry.

I’ve seen some unreal colors in bathrooms, choc brown, navy blue, pink, blue, gold, grey etc.

From these photos– unless these were touched up photos, I’ve never seen a ‘lime’ green bathroom in my life! OTOH,
an architect I knew once had a black washroom suite attached to his office — just gorgeous!

          1. Wow. I have seen bright red and some of those others but never gold or brown. Yeah, scrolling down that lime green seems a bit off. Ours was kind of a light green.

  1. Wonder why there seem to be a continually increasing amount of people on the Diamond Princess Cruise Ship coming down with the coronavirus despite Japan having tons of resources and word class medical system. This doctor has some interesting observations right as it was announced today that “those who have tested negative and did not share cabins with infected passengers were being permitted to disembark”. Given the description of the chaos and lack of leadership in this situation I am not sure they can be sure those being let off are really not infected. Japan is very bureaucratic and I can see each level just wanted “follow the directives” and check off all the boxes. Out of the box thinking is definitely not encouraged. So we will see if this was a big mistake.

    1. Great Catch KTR.
      I watched that entire vid…unreal.
In the End it’ll be the bureaucratic fk ups that kill us…

    1. Whatever became of that spat between the butch dyke and the Muslim barber at Bay and Dundas in Toronto? The Human Rights Commission buried that one really deep.

  2. I’ve been hearing about the California Assembly Bill 5 (AB5) aka the “gig worker bill” that came into effect the first of the year. The writer of this blog post ( https://tinyurl.com/w263xu5 ) is a lifelong Democrat who explains how it works and affects her. Cry me a river. Other comments are equally unsympathetic. Some examples:

“I have zero sympathy for you. You and people like you are the problem because you keep voting these idiots into power. And you’re going to continue voting for them aren’t you?”

“Yet, you still “hate” the opposition and blindly support the people who thought this cluster up – and are thinking of more idiocy as I write this. Wake up. This is solely a union suckup by the party which is owned by them: Yours. Good luck with the state wide bankruptcy.”

“I’d prefer a plague of locusts over Democrats fleeing California. At least locusts don’t brag about how enlightened they are and condescend to their new neighbors while destroying their new communities.”

“Socialism’s awesome, until it’s your turn to be the kulak.”

“Quit complaining that you got your ox gored this time. You have voted for millions of other oxen to be gored.”

    1. ““I’d prefer a plague of locusts over Democrats fleeing California. At least locusts don’t brag about how enlightened they are and condescend to their new neighbors while destroying their new communities.””

A suggested term for Californian exports with that attitude:-

      “Whenwes”

A South African term for ex-Rhodesians. From the introductory phrase “When we were in Rhodesia – – “

    2. Kalifornica…Designed by Democrats.
      A First World Shithole.

A place where defecating on the street is legal, as is shoplifting…but God Forbid you eat your sandwich on Public Transport…???

    1. So, when consumption of insects begins to threaten their populations, will PETA start telling us to stop eating bugs?

    1. This is only possible in Canada that allowed itself to be considered a safe heaven by the terrorists and lunatics of all shades.
The people of this country, of all political spectra, are truly pathetic.

      Coward,
      Arrogant,
      Narcotics-dependent,
      Absent-minded,
      Deplorable,
      Assholes.

When your rights are violated, you apologize for offending: “I am Canadian. Here is my cash! Kill me!”
      Way to go!

      1. When your rights are violated, you’re also supposed to say “thank you” because that was done to make you “safer”.

I’m reminded of what Benjamin Franklin once said, namely that if one is willing to give up some liberty for a bit of safety, it won’t take long before one has neither. This country’s not far from it now.

      2. well said Tara…well said.

What we have is a society with their Iphone 10’s rammed up their backsides.
Beyond Oblivious as to what transpires around them.

I’m sure they will love being fitted for their Bhurkas – Hijabs with the males all being forced to grow beards & taught under threat of Death to speak Pashtun or Arabic.

        Pathetic beyond all reason.

When 5g Comes in, I’ll be using a 3g phone.

    1. Heh, heh…
      • Butt’s face is swollen!!!
      • Commentator Barney Panofsky takes his handle from a Mordecai Richler novel: “Barry’s Version.”
      • the child on the ground having a fit– caption reads/jokes that the person is Greta. Recently I dreamt of sheep and one of them had Greta’s face. For real! No kidding! Yikes!

    2. This whole fiasco is rigged by Justin Trudeau & the Deep State. Check Ezra’s Tuesday Feb 18th Show.

      1. A Nigerian migrant is on trial for murdering 2 women sex workers in Toronto. Wonder if he is one of the Roxham Road migrants?

    1. Forty years ago, I sat through Sunday sermons about South Africa and how it should be “de-whited”. Now that whites are now persona non grata there and the ANC thugs are running rampant, hardly a peep from the church.

  3. In the socialist paradise of British Columbia, the new budget celebrates more taxes and increase provincial debt. Who do they think they are, Liberals?

  4. True North website reports that some civil servants were upset that the Trudeau government published a voting guide for muslims before the 2019 election. Which brings me to the point on why in a supposed democratic country like Canada, we have to rely on websites like True North or Post Millennial to get the truth and real news stories.

  5. A not-so-bold-prediction: Friday will be a shitshow of protests across Canada with ecofascists everywhere blocking bridges and roads with the police enabling them.

    1. Some are even backtracking.
      https://www.msn.com/en-ca/news/canada/kanesatake-chief-retracts-rail-blockade-comments-after-community-uproar/ar-BB10at7l?ocid=spartandhp

Basically they said to the Chief, “STFU numbnuts! That blackfaced idiot Trudeau and the Liberals are cowards and they’re actually letting us get an even better grip on their balls.”
The West Indians have said the RCMP have to leave their land as well as the gas company people – basically stop work – before they’ll even talk.
Seems like things may get worse.

  6. Forget about whiny Indians shutting down the Canadian economy. The major story at the Liberal Party’s CBC is that the UN is upset with us. Yes Canada almost lost out on peace keeping duties in Africa because we don’t have enough women in the Canadian Armed Forces. Our UN masters wanted our military participation to be gender balanced. I’m sure Blackie The Gay Pirate will set up a special committee to look into this atrocity.

    1. Here is the link about the UN demands.

      https://www.cbc.ca/news/politics/canada-un-united-nations-sudan-women-soldiers-1.5467722

So once again “Why are we a member of this organization?” On top of all the other problems the Liberal/Trudeau government has infected Canada with this one is going to be interesting to watch. Trudeau has two options: he can either remove us from the useless UN or he can implement conscription in order to maintain membership. Tough choice for Liberals!

  7. Now exploring options on where to move to if Wexit does not gain traction. Progressives are firmly in control of the nation. Canadians largely see no external threat to the country. A weak and ineffectual government in Canada virtually benefits every other country Canada deals with. The biggest concerns are China, Russia, OPEC and yes the USA. If Canadians prefer to take the intellectually weak option of supporting what passes as governance from Ottawa then I can hold out little hope. Canada will be picked apart in a very methodical process.

Wexit is not ideal but is the only option left in Western Canada. The risk is that Kenney and Moe will soft pedal the process and valuable time will be wasted. If this is strung out for 10 years it will be too late. It probably is already.

    1. At least Western Canada has the Wexit option. Eastern Canada is largely doomed. I am sure Quebec is fine, but the rest of us in non-Totonto Ontario are not happy. The future of the country looks grim. Liberals are lining us up to be victims of world government totalitarianism. Canada takes its orders from the UN.

      1. Perhaps if enough of rural Ontario rejected the Liberals and NDP on a consistent basis and started talking about Rupertsland, they might be considered. It would be nice to keep most of the country intact and essentially expel the original Upper and Lower Canada. I doubt you will see that happen though.

  8. Interesting article on recycling problems at WUWT. Most recycling material is contaminated and must be washed.

    https://wattsupwiththat.com/2020/02/18/wash-your-trash-is-recycling-working/

In Calgary, I put my grease and food contaminated pizza boxes in the compost recycling green bin per the directions in the City’s waste recycling pamphlet.

The city garbage workers didn’t pick up my green bin. They left a note saying pizza boxes had to go in the blue bin.

So I put them in the blue bin. This too was rejected.

So I packed them in black plastic bags and they now go in the black bin.

But soon this won’t be possible. Calgary is hiring garbage inspectors. They will cut open black bags and if you have recyclables in the black bin, they won’t pick it up.

My prediction? The park near where I live will soon become an inner city garbage dump.

I won’t be dumping, but I won’t be buying pizza.

    1. Yeah because we’re not already broke af, we need to hire more bureaucrats to troll through our trash.

I already have a herd of street people who go through my bins but at least they don’t get judgy and leave snooty notes.

    2. Likely the most environmentally sound thing to do is throw all trash in the landfill. Don’t we send most of our plastic to China where throwing plastic in the ocean is a normal disposal method.

    3. you gotta be kidding me Joe….?? Jesus h.

The NENSHI CAbal taking their Cue from their Ideological masters, The Liberal party of Canada. My distaste for this bunch, Farkas & a cpl others nothwithstanding, is nearly as strong as it is for that POS pm we have in this country.

Im in a condo in the SE…we have an outside garbage garage so to speak. And it isn’t the city that picks up here either. 3 separations. Food/Organic waste – Waste and Recyclables.

Seems the city is being run by Monty Python et all.

  9. National Post reports that Canada’s media, including the Toronto Star and the CBC have sent a letter to Blackie The Gay Muslim Pirate demanding more money from the taxpayers.

  10. One of the better ones from Grouchy Old Cripple:

Yes, I have been in many places, but I’ve never been in Cahoots. Apparently, you can’t go alone. You have to be in Cahoots with someone.
I’ve also never been in Cognito. I hear no one recognizes you there..
I have, however, been in Sane. They don’t have an airport; you have to be driven there. I have made several trips there, thanks to my friends, family and work.
I would like to go to Conclusions, but you have to jump, and I’m not too much on physical activity anymore.
Have also been in Doubt. That is a sad place to go, and I try not to visit there too often.
I’ve been in Flexible, but only when it was very important to stand firm.
Sometimes I’m in Capable, and I go there more often as I’m getting older.
One of my favorite places to be is in Suspense! It really gets the adrenalin flowing and pumps up the old heart! At my age I need all the stimuli I can get!
And, sometimes I think I am in Vincible but life shows me I am not.
People keep telling me I’m in Denial but I’m positive I’ve never been there before!
I may have been in Continent, but I don’t remember what country I was in. It’s an age thing. They tell me it is very wet and damp there.
I have been in Deepshit many times; the older I get, the easier it is to get there.

  11. Kid Trudeau threw a hissy fit over statements made by Scheer and didn’t invite him to a meeting of all MP’s to discuss the mess he and his government have allowed to go on while he has been travelling abroad to suck up for a useless seat at the UN.
Does the arrogant twit believe in democracy? Does he realize he has a minority government.?

    1. Does he realize he has a minority government.?

Don’t forget that he claimed that “the people of Canada” gave him a “mandate”.

    2. I’d go into a long diatribe about the what how who when etc etc.

I’ll just put this out there.
This is a perfect storm of the sock monkeys own doing and the result is that the enemy is set to start shooting at each other. Don’t intervene just stand back and let them self immolate.

  12. Good news Wexiteers.
A perusal of today’s media indicates a sense of impending catastrophe in the center of the universe if the blockades don’t get removed very soon.
Past behaviour being an accurate indicator of what the sock monkey will do I can say with confidence that those blockades are not in any danger of the authorities removing them.
They voted for it, now they get what they asked for good and hard.

    To quote DJT “he’s weak”

  13. The Liberal Party’s CBC is excited that whiny Indians and environmentalists are blockading railway tracks in Redmonton Alberta today.

    1. Did you catch this one?

      https://nationalpost.com/news/canada/francois-legault-wetsuweten-ultimatum-to-protesters

This should be an interesting telecon.

Historically these things take on a life of their own and when it comes to demands the line seems quite long on the left side. This problem has its root in successive Prime Ministers from Quebec fiddling with the BNA at the expense of the other provinces, particularly those west of Ontario.

      We are all Westerners now.

  14. In today’s Globe and Mail editorial, it says that (1) the gas pipeline and Kitimat gas refinery and port are negotiable with FN peoples, but that (2) the Mohawk rail blockades are not. So for the G&M, the threat to Eastern Canada’s economy is not to be tolerated. But attacks against Western Canada’s energy economy can be negotiated away.

Since the Globe is a mouthpiece for the federal Liberal party, this editorial is signaling that the BC natural gas development might not go forward.

  15. And now your Canadians are racist bastards story for today. The main story at the Liberal Party’s Toronto Star is not the blockades, but a muslim woman with a bag over her head getting into a snit with a Toronto bus driver.

  16. The Liberal Party’s CBC is excited that the Mohawk Grand Wizard of the Sacred Liquor Bottle, has retracted his request for the blockade to end, so protesters will allow him back into his offices.

    1. so protesters will allow him back into his offices

Let me guess: that’s where he keeps his big-screen TV?

  17. There is absolutely no hope for Canada .We are so screwed thanks to eastern canada . I really don’t care anymore as to what the outcome will be but I can tell you that the people who created this mess will pay a heavy price .

  18. True North reports that the Mounties may finally arrest some one regarding the blockades……..a truck driver who drove through one.

  19. Post Millennial reports that a train derailment near Montreal may have been intentional. There have also been two train derailments in Ontario the past couple of days. Why do we have to go to websites like Post Millennial to find out about train sabotage near Montreal. Where is the mainstream media?

  20. I am still laughing CBC let slip the numbers.5 Count them. 5 hereditary Chiefs are opposed to the pipe line in BC.
Those 5 are to be respected above all.More important that the 8 hereditary Chiefs who support the Elected band Council,The elected Chief and the some 80% of Band members who voted in favour of this pipeline.

Must be some heap powerful medicine when 5 is greater than 8.
Where inherited name more powerful than democratic process.
Where 5 individuals exert such power to bring cross country commerce to a halt.
We shut down Can Ahh Duh for the sake of 5/13ths of F..A.
Once again, you could not make this idiocy up as credible fiction.
This is not a country it is farce.
With our current leadership the only hope we can offer our children is ..Fire up the Guillotine.
    Viva Le French Solution?

    1. Yet I’m the one whose bag gets pulled aside on a regular basis for further scrutiny because somebody doesn’t recognize a laptop hard drive or an old style telephone number index.

Canada: a place where logic and reason go to die.

      1. Yes, I thought of you, B A–
I bet if enough people complained and told of their own harassment stories to the ‘quotas’, Sheila would have enough of a follow-up addendum to her story.

        1. This last trip, first I’m told that I had to remove all metal objects except for rings and watches before going through a full body scanner. Foolish me for believing that a nylon belt wasn’t metallic.

Yup, I had to remove that, but I didn’t find out about it until I was in the infernal machine. I tried to argue that there was no metal in it, but, no, they wouldn’t let me through until I did. That’s when I also found out that a handkerchief is also considered illicit.

You couldn’t make this stuff up if you tried….

          1. Why… a hankerchief is beyond comprehension…that is so stupid on their part. When you wrote about it the other day I shook my head.

Let them have their fun and just smile. They’re likely looking for a reaction from you. I wouldn’t give them the satisfaction.

A few weeks ago Abtrapper recalled an incident that happened to him: apparently he offered to pull down his “Wranglers” and, of course, the annoying folks backed off! “Ha,ha, oh no Mister that won’t be necessary”.

I laughed my heart out when I read that! Maybe if he reads this he can tell us more about the incident. He seemed to take it all in stride.

They are quite the little buggers though, you have my heartfelt sympathy.
