    1. So far, the little bits seen today, reveal the Demarxists for what they really are. Scheming, hypocritical liars, with no morals or values, other than tear apart your opponent by any and all means, facts be damned.
Watching them whine and plead for “fairness”, over and over, is THICK with hypocrisy.
      Schiff just isn’t that smart!

  1. My mother often spoke of die Berlinerluftbrücke (literally, Berlin air bridge).

She had fond memories of the Royal Navy Sunderland flying boats that came into the city and landed on the river. Not only did those planes deliver table salt but they capitalized on another landing area.

    1. Besides winning batting titles he had a howitzer of an arm. Playing right field he would glove grounders and throw out the batter running to first base. Awesome.

      1. I love baseball but am pissed at the current scandal. Giving immunity to the players (who were deeply involved) and firing managers ignores the problem. Baseball is a wounded game today. Hopefully all those involved come to their senses and start respecting the fans and their fellow players.

Pitchers and catchers report Feb 12!

  3. It snowed last night…

    8:00 am: I made a snowman.
8:10 – A feminist passed by and asked me why I didn’t make a snow woman.
    8:15 – So, I made a snow woman.
8:17 – My feminist neighbor complained about the snow woman’s voluptuous chest saying it objectified snow women everywhere.
8:20 – The gay couple living nearby threw a hissy fit and moaned it could have been two snow men instead.
8:22 – The transgender man..women…person asked why I didn’t just make one snow person with detachable parts.
8:25 – The vegans at the end of the lane complained about the carrot nose, as veggies are food and not to decorate snow figures with.
8:28 – I was being called a racist because the snow couple is white.
8:31 – The middle eastern gent across the road demanded the snow woman be covered up .
8:40 – The Police arrived saying someone had been offended.
8:42 – The feminist neighbor complained again that the broomstick of the snow woman needed to be removed because it depicted women in a domestic role.
8:43 – The council equality officer arrived and threatened me with eviction.
8:45 – TV news crew from CBC showed up. I was asked if I know the difference between snowmen and snow-women? I replied “Snowballs” and am now called a sexist.
9:00 – I was on the News as a suspected terrorist, racist, homophobe sensibility offender, bent on stirring up trouble during difficult weather.
9:10 – I was asked if I have any accomplices. My children were taken by social services.
9:29 – Far left protesters offended by everything marched down the street demanding for me to be arrested.
    By noon it all melted
    Moral:
There is no moral to this story. It is what we have become, all because of snowflakes.

    1. Nancy

You should tell them it was virtual snow, so all of the above were delusional.

Since this is the hottest year on record there can’t be any snow.

      🙂

      1. – And besides, who are they to call your snowpeople “snowmen” or “snow women”? They will decide their genders themselves – and may change them at any time they wish, as they wish, thank you very much – so the neighbours’d better stop trying to force your snowpeople into cisgender roles or you’ll have the HRC on them. The NERVE – what a buncha’ sexist misogynist haters!

        1. Nancy and you are giving Justin Trudeau and his CBC propagandists ideas, about the word “snowpeople”. “Snowpersons” is another word that could come into play.

    2. I’m surprised some ReGreta Tardlings didn’t complain about your anti “heating science” display and ask for UN censure.

  4. It looks like we’re back to the “good” old days under Klein:

    https://www.westernstandardonline.com/2020/01/devil-is-in-the-details-of-ab-post-secondary-funding-announcement/

When I was teaching at a certain institution, the emphasis was on keeping the kiddies happy and ensuring that they had a “positive learning experience”. That was measured by conducting a survey of the graduates. The government “gravy” money was distributed based on how “satisfied” our “customers” were. Of course, that was a poor way of determining whether they actually learned anything, but nobody in charge seemed to care about that.

It was all a game of inter-departmental and inter-institutional oneupmanship and whoever rated the highest.

Other institutions, apparently, got their money based on the number of graduates who actually got jobs.

Yeah, the post-secondary educational system is that ridiculous.

  5. Interesting article by David Yager on use of fossil fuels in Canada.

    https://energynow.ca/2020/01/reality-check-canada-is-uninhabitable-without-fossil-fuels-david-yager/

I think Justin and his cabinet should all move to fifteen Atco trailers which would be installed on the lawn in front of Rideau Cottage. Their only power to come from solar panels installed on the trailer roofs, and windmills situated on the lawn.

They could also invite Jagmeet and Liz.

This would be an excellent pilot project. They should live there for ten years, even if they are voted out of office.

      1. Well, for a start, none of those trendy bistros, gastropubs and restaurants that the Liberals like to frequent on Wellington Street or in the Byward Market would exist.

More salt pork, potatoes and turnips, anyone?

  6. Well done Mr Ford, more please:
    https://torontosun.com/news/provincial/ontario-gets-good-grades-from-small-business-group

“The Canadian Federation of Independent Business, which represents roughly 42,000 small businesses across the province, has given the Ford government an A- score on their annual Red Tape Report Card.

Kwiecinski said the government is creating the right framework to let small business flourish. She noted it is the second year in a row the province has received an A- mark, up from a C+ under the former Liberal government.”

  7. And now your Canadians are racist bastards story for today. Blackie’s CBC was upset last night about a muslim employee suing CSIS(Canadian Security Intelligence Service) because he wasn’t treated nice.

  8. Blackie’s Toronto Star has new Doug Ford is Hitler stories this morning for your reading enjoyment. Main story is that the Star is outraged that Ford selected a police officer and a Conservative supporter to sit on the Human Rights Commission, instead of letting the Commission appoint its own leftist whack jobs.

  9. Blackie’s media is excited that the federal government will spend a couple of million dollars on anti smoking programs for gays. Apparently gays need their own anti smoking ads or something.

  10. Both CBC News and CTV News censored President Trump’s press conference this morning.,it was carried on the BBN-Bloomberg channel. Ironically the latter is relegated to the upper channels; the former two enjoy preferred positions in the channel 2-30 channels. Our CRTC at work.

  11. Typical climate bull shit from CBC …

    https://www.cbc.ca/radio/day6/misinformation-over-australia-s-fires-royals-in-canada-best-stunt-oscar-aaron-hernandez-doc-and-more-1.5428066/amidst-raging-wildfires-australian-media-is-pushing-misinformation-on-climate-change-1.5428078

The misinformation comes from the fire fighters who were clearing away brush to form a containment line to prevent a fire from spreading. On fire fighter told a journalist not to photo him because it would upset the greenies. That is misinformation because according to the Green Party nobody prevented anybody from cutting containment lines previously (that is a lie).

The article goes on to blame the new Prime Minister Morrison who thinks he was elected to oppose climate change and to benefit the coal industry. Then the comment that two thirds of Australians want more aggressive action on climate change even if it means sacrifices. If that is true why did Australia vote out the climate change government and vote in the coal government?

“I don’t expect there’s ever going to be an apology from the conservative press. They might just shift and pretend as if this is what they’ve always said, that, hey, climate change is real and that we just don’t want to deal with it the way those effete lefty snobs do, which is probably the direction they might go.”

The problem with the above comment is that it ignores the previous liberal government that did nothing on climate change. They ignore the liberal government and blame the current, more conservative, government for essentially doing the same thing as the previous government – namely nothing, which is what governments love to do these days.

  12. Blackie’s Toronto Star explains today that Hitler Doug Ford is giving teacher unions a hard time because he hates women.

  13. CTV asks: “Military must nearly double annual female recruitment to reach target: study”
Not enough women and ‘Indigenous’ persons are joining the Military. Quotas must be fill says Vance.
    How dare they !
Is conscription the solution to get the required numbers demanded by Defence Research and Development Canada ?
Could some ‘self identifiers’ be the reason for statistical error ?
Let’s spend half the military budget investigating these ‘issues’.
    https://www.ctvnews.ca/canada/military-must-nearly-double-annual-female-recruitment-to-reach-target-study-1.4778063

    1. Yes, lets set up two military drafts, one for women, and one for natives. I think that would go a long way in fixing the “we want equal everything crowd” !

      1. While we’re at it, women are desperately under-represented in our prison population. Oh, the shame of it!

We need to start enforcing strict 50/50 male/female quotas for incarceration!

    2. I have it on good autoritee Burgess, the real reason is that the military types are
seeking additional targets for their favorite pastime:
      https://www.classaction.deloitte.ca/en-ca/Pages/CAF-DNDsexualmisconductclassaction.aspx

I have a theory the reason I was instantly rejected when the recruitment age got bumped up
around 1985 was not the following:
      -summer reserve in 1970
      -scuba experience
-1 parachute jump (still have the log book)
      -BSc
      -etc

but the fact I made it *very clear right from the start* I was NOT going to put up with the usual nonsense hazing and
sexist crap directed at the women.

      I coulda saved them 900 mill . . . . . .

  14. Sweeeeeeeeet! Through Instapundit; https://www.latimes.com/opinion/story/2020-01-19/2nd-amendment-sanctuaries-richmond-charlottesville-militias

The LA Times pushed-out an editorial opinion saying in effect that ‘Sanctuarying illegal immigrants is fine, because we agree with it ourselves – but sanctuarying guns is Beyond The Pale because it defies State law!’

The meat of the article is to be found in the comments – I’m amazed the LA Times even publish comments; few left-wing Press do anymore – and are pretty-well universally unsupportive. Several of them point-out, with surprisingly even temper, that supporting immigration sanctuaries is wrong because it contravenes the U.S. Constitution, and condemning gun sanctuaries is in the exact same boat. And no State – or any greater or lesser official – may contravene the Constitution, so their argument that ‘municipalities and counties can’t counter State laws’ is utter nonsense because the State laws the LA Times is on-about, contravene the Constitution themselves.

There may be hope for California yet – o sweet Saint of San Andreas, maybe let’s let this play-out a little longer before deploying the Hammer of Doom, Mk I?

  15. I’m sick of the impeachment charade. Can’t be bothered to listen or read anything about it. I listen to a lot of US radio but it is non-stop impeachment. I’ve moved on.

I get it that people find Trump loathsome. I get it that the US Constitution allows for impeachment, but this is a reality show that we already know the ending. It’s a sad indictment that partisan politics has come to this.

    1. Yesterday and earlier today, I mentioned Bill Still’s set of videos about Bill Clinton’s impeachment, available at:

      https://www.youtube.com/user/bstill3/videos

I just finished watching the last installment. There was enough evidence that Clinton needed to be impeached and, possibly, removed from office. Much of that was glossed over by the MSM which, at that time, I believed.

Compare Slick Willy’s misdeeds and questionable associations (many of them having ties to China) with what Trump has been accused of. The whole affair is a laughable farce. It’s clearly a diversion from something far worse on the Democrat side, but it’s not completely clear what.

    2. exactamundo.
I wont watch ANY of it until the news story how pelosi accidentally drove off a pier.
it is ALL strictly *political*, and NOT about true actual impeachable offenses.

  16. CBC News Network censored BoC head Poloz’s news conference — where he discusses our weakening economy — in of a discussion of the upcoming Trump impeachment trial today. To the CBC, our economy is not that important.

  17. Alberta Whinning that it needs more RCMP clowns to fight the rising incidence of theft in rural areas.

Kenney has had 8 months and done exactly SWEET fk all but Talk Talk Talk.
That Firewall could have been instituted by now – a Provincial Police force put into being. And we wouldnt need any RCMP. Whats your plan Jason…to make sure there are enough RCMP to grab all the Guns out here…?? is that it.??

    https://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/edmonton/schweizer-rural-crime-ministers-meeting-alberta-1.5435853?fbclid=IwAR0yGn0HtVtTUCbUOPdhkk8Oj9XUYhgSdtXiX3iphoQXcPLo6NGTJXRohLU

    1. I’m also disappointed with Kenney. I was hoping that he would have started drawing up terms for Alberta’s withdrawal from Canada the day after the election this past October. So far, zippo.

    2. Was it that redford that signed a 20 years extension with the rcmp?

If your plan was to get rid of the rcmp it would be prudent to do so keeping in mind the contract you have in place – think penalities. I would imagine the contract might contain a clause requiring each side give years of advance warning if not renewing.

    1. Isn’t this the university that Ford government refused to fund? Expectation must be that the Libs will be in again in four years.

  18. Blackie’s media reports that Scott Moe the Sask. premier now has an RCMP body guard. Physical threats from Justin??

  19. True North reports that Blackie The Gay Pirate is giving a sole sourced hundred thousand dollar contract to a former Liberal MP to give training to the UN security council. Spending more taxpayer money for that UN seat and rewarding Liberals at the same time. The Libranos are back.

  20. Oh No! Blackie’s Toronto Star reports that evil Jordan Peterson had a private meeting with Hitler Doug Ford before Ford announced his own choices for members of the Human Rights Commission. Peterson after the meeting stated that the commission should be abolished.

  21. A few days ago, the RSS feed for John Batchelor’s show repeated an interview with the author of The Revolt Against the Masses: How Liberalism Has Undermined the Middle Class Hard. It’s available at:

    https://audioboom.com/channel/johnbatchelor

Scroll down the page to find it. It’s well worth listening to.

They discuss how the liberal elites, particularly in the U. S., conducted politics for the last century or more. In it, one can get an indication about the attitudes our social “betters” as well as the current mess we’re in.

It didn’t start with the Clintons.

  22. Did anyone post this before? Resisting Wokeness: Andrew Doyle and Douglas Murray in conversation.
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QIJPUX6SYu4
It’s both brilliant and scary. It notes that we can’t talk about anything that matters due to fear of offence, where we end up pretending we don’t know things that everyone knew until yesterday. Lots of great points:
    – We are here (addressing wokeness) because so many people no longer are.
    – Woke pretzel logic – Since gender is a social construct, but transgender people are born that way, they must be the only gender born into their gender.
    – They compare children chimney sweeps in 19th century (I think) Britain to the woman who introduced a nine year old trans child at an Elizabeth Warren event and everyone cheered.
    Lot’s more…
