  1. It’s a darn pity that the details of most lawsuits are not disclosed.

And to CNN … Report the news, not the narrative.

  2. One gets the massive sense of schadenfreude.
“Pleasure derived by someone from another person’s misfortune”, though in this case there is no misfortune happening.

The bag man that pays CNN to do this got to pay up.

This is the only way to bring some justice to the mass media cartel, the merchants of fake news.
One gets the feeling that the money is secondary to the idea that the mass media cartel insults and abuses the idea that free speech is there to do that.
The sum, while quite obscene, does have to be large in order to make even the billionaires that support the fake news, take note.

Hopefully WP and NBC will have to pay up.

  3. He’s not getting $275 million that was filed. But he’s not getting a couple of thousands either (I’m thinking of something in the $25 million range). CNN settled because the case isn’t getting tossed and discovery is coming up. They really cannot afford the discovery process.

His lawyers have already announced that they’re going after even more people, starting with that asshole banging the drum in his face.

    1. They didn’t have to accept the settlement. But, this is a high schooler, not Mark Stein or Ezra Levant or someone else who wanted to, and was ready to fight…

I personally would have forced it to trial, done discovery, all that. There was likely already an army of lawyers committed to pro bono (or there should have been). Fund raising for legal war chest, etc.

One side wanted it over, never wanted it in the first place, the other side didn’t want to fight. End of story.

  4. Good, I am sure it is in the millions and the others that are being sued just might get the message.
