  1. We had the same stupidity a couple years ago when Macleans said BC was on fire. We had blue skies, no smoke, but tourists were cancelling their trips.

    Don’t trust anything anyone says in the media. They either don’t know or purposely mislead you.

    1. After finding if they are in fact guilty, they should be hung in public. These are true crimes against humanity.

        1. when you see the map, notice most are around the coast. More than likely near hy-ways.. easy access to arsonists. Teenagers seem to be the most guilty. It’s the adults I care about. Kids can be “redirected”.

    2. And backgrounds on what percentage of them were pushing the “Climate Change We’re All Gonna Die” meme.

    3. I’m betting that quite a number are our Mandatory “Diversity” Imports….wasn’t that long ago that I read an AlJazeera article from Al Qaeda and ISIS, exhorting the Faithfull to “Raze the Infidels Forests – Burn them to the ground”

      and I am agreed to significantly harsher penalties…20-30 yrs no parole. Someone dies.?? So do you. End of story.

    1. As of December 20. The newspaper “The Australian” says this….”It reports police arrested 183 people nationally for lighting bushfires across Queensland, NSW, Victoria, South Australia and Tasmania in the past few months.

      Queensland state police say 101 people have been picked up for setting fires in the bush, 32 adults and 69 juveniles.”

      There will be more to come.

    2. Over 200 arrested Australia-wide to date, since the summer fire season started. Not all arson, some are stupidity. But still estimated well more than half are deliberate.

      Basically this year is the perfect confluence of criminal arson and insane Greenie land-management policies. Same as Los Angeles.

      Its brush land, its SUPPOSED to go on fire. You don’t hold small controlled burns every year, you get one big uncontrolled burn.

    3. The native Australian birds that believe in climate change are making the bushfire crisis worse by picking up embers of fire and dropping them in dry fields to flush out their prey.

      The Whistling Kite, the Black Kite and the Brown Falcon are all known to use fire as a way to flush out prey from fields in Australia

    1. And you gotta take the scale of the fire markers, they don’t actually represent the area of fire, they are simply markers, the actual fires may cover a few km’s square here and there.

      That is not to say that there is no fire.

    This is no different than my local weatherman’s map on TV … wherein beautiful 80 deg. F temperatures are illustrated in BRIGHT RED!!!! A WARNING COLOR!!!! A change from the old “yellow” color of moderate, humanly-enjoyable air temps.

  13. When reality doesn’t react in ways that ‘raise awareness’ of their personal crises, they set out to prove the crisis because they BELEIVE and need the evidence for others to follow suit. Like Smollett and the other “hate” crime hoaxers. The media is directly responsible for the global climate panic that causes ignorant people to believe we are living in a Climate Emergency that political policy will fix. The media are happy to keep up their emotional abuse of consumers if it means garnering political support their ideology. They definitely aren’t friends of freedom and liberty. Sadly, the “leaders” we rely on to fight for us are too cowardly to stand up to them. Trudeau created Albertazuela, and by fighting this climate emergency he and his band of totalitarian wannabes are working on Canazuela. Our destruction is a worthy sacrifice for them to save the planet.

    Banning controlled burns = lots more uncontrolled burns. Even a child could figure that out. Which means that environmentalists don’t rise to the intellectual standard of small children. Not that I’m surprised.

  17. Ok on a slightly different weather story.

    Greenland a coupla nights ago hit -83F. All those ice bergs that calved last summer……relax they’re back.

    A few more nights like this and the boys in Greenland will be able to drive to Newfoundland for a beer. Maybe swing by Sweden and pick up the Thunderburg’s.
