  1. It amazes me anyone cares what two-seat Kim thinks about politics or elections, where important matters can’t be discussed.

    1. Our institutional left only cares. She’s a token conservative (not a current one, but who’s counting?) that speaks like a leftist, and they really like to use that to make the conservative movement look weak.
Conservatives, quite rightly, see Kimmy gal as an incompetent failure and a loser

      1. Our institutional left only cares.

Not just “our” left. PBS’s Newshour used her as an “expert” on Canadian politics at one time and I think even the once-respectable BBC World Service did so as well.

Someone should remind Dim Kim that her 15 weeks of fame are long in the past. She should move on and do something she’s good at, though I can’t think of what that might be.

        1. She’s a Media conservative that’s all. Just like when CBC beings on Adler and Coren when they want to portray themselves as ‘fair and balanced’.

    2. She is one of the many people who could have won against Trudeau 2. Scheer remains the only known human on the planet who could not.

Oz is the sole remaining supporter of Scheer…

  2. Quite a good video, actually. Yeah, I’d say Campbell richly deserved her “disaster” rating. Now if she would just have the decency to stop pontificating on social media and shut up once and for all.

The 1984 Canadian election was certainly a Liberal disaster, with Mulroney’s famous and blistering “You had an option, sir” response to PM John Turner during the TV debate: that was the exact moment when the Liberals knew they were toast.

Result: 211 Tory seats, 40 Lib seats – the largest electoral landslide in Canadian history!

  3. “Result: 211 Tory seats, 40 Lib seats – the largest electoral landslide in Canadian history!”

If Scheer hadn’t cheated and Bernier had won the nomination the 2019 election results would have been similar.

    1. If Cannibal (but not a real) Conservative Bernier hadn’t had a temper tantrum, the CPC would have won the election.
      Btw, how did Scheer “cheat?”

  4. I like JJ. Unique to say the least but a bright guy. Odd way pronouncing ‘about’ though. A-boot? Ha. One take away I got was that George Will was inspired by Goldwater and now has a Never Trump hate to the point he voted for Hillary.

      1. Yes, he is. What about it? He’s not a member of the Gaystapo either, and sits on the right of center, much like many other gays, such as Dave Rubin, Milo, Steven Crowder, and Peter Thiel for starters.
The difference between them and the political Gaystapo, is they don’t victimize themselves, nor play petty games about how HARD they have it.
I may not agree with their lifestyle, BUT, they have the freedom to follow their paths, so long as it doesn’t infringe negatively on mine or anyone elses, nor bounce around on a parade float wearing only a sock. ANd I can respect them, just live your life and go about it, instead of the activist set, which is intent on waving their gear, or perversion (drag queens, for example), as often as possible, in everyone’s face. I’m sure the aforementioned are disgusted as much as we are by the freaks within their realm too

      2. Indeed, he seems to think homosexuality should somehow be viewed as a heightened form of manhood and purer misogyny.

His is a rather troubling perspective.

  5. I want to thank this JJ guy.

My whole life, I have been wondering WTH Americans were talking about when they say that Canadians pronounce “about” as “a-boot.”

Now I know. Although I have to admit that part of me thinks he’s doing in consciously to signify that he is Canadian.

    1. Yep,he’s the very first Canadian I have EVER heard pronounce about, “aboot”, in a conscious effort to confirm the erroneous American image of our speech.
      Interesting video, though.

  6. Goldwater was nothing like Corbyn or Campbell.

Had the US media not been in LBJ’s pocket, Goldwater would have won hands down.

Corbyn and Campbell lost despite overwhelming media support, just like Clinton.

    1. Yes, there appear to be two classes of loser.

Those that lose in spite of having Hollywood, the press, the newspapers, the entrenched bureaucracy, on their side.
Those that still have a showing when Hollywood, the press, etc., are all lined up against them.

Maybe 3 classes. There are those who are handed victory, and then do everything they can to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory. People who see their opponent climbing up buildings to jump to to their death, but instead of letting them, they man the Hollywood contraptions to save those lives.

People who would rather attack an apostate in a trance of cultish fervour, rather than try to beat the guy they claim to be against…

  7. Goldwater said that he would ramp up the Vietnam war and win it and LBJ said that he would lessen the U S involvement. The election was held,LBJ won and you know what happened,a war that the U S democrats gave away.

  8. “Aboot”.
Makes me think this guy must be a Newfie. I spent the rest of his dissertation waiting for a “Lard Tunderin”.

  9. No mention of Max Bernier, the lazy and vacillating “leader” of the PPC. He DEFINES spectacular defeat.
