The judge presiding over the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court (FISC) ordered the FBI in a secret court filing earlier in December to identify all cases handled by a former FBI lawyer who allegedly altered an email during the investigation of former Trump campaign adviser Carter Page.
Judge Rosemary Collyer ordered the review Dec. 5, several days before the release of a Justice Department inspector general’s (IG) report that found the FBI made “significant inaccuracies” in applications to surveil Page.
The report said a now-former FBI lawyer who has been identified as Kevin Clinesmith altered an email from the bureau’s liaison to the CIA in June 2017 to say Page was “not a source” for the agency.

The idea that this Clinesmith dude acted alone without direction or a nod from the higher-ups seems farfetched.
Mike Rogers will go down in history as one of the men, that’s right men, a real man, who helped saved the republic. Clinesmith will be the fall guy, a rogue agent who misled FISC, Comey et al. Too bad he won’t be around to testify. That won’t stop the civil suits though.
The frightening thing is that the FISA court has created a secret body of law that made the FBI a law unto themselves, and eliminated the Bill of Rights without amending the US Constitution. The Congress created the FISA court, they must require all FISA created “ law “ to be ruled on publicly by the Supreme Court to eliminate the abuses of civil rights that FISA brought about in secret. Get rid of the secret policeman, the FBI, and ruin and jail all who participated in this attempted coup.

Carter Page should be suing for hundreds of millions for deprivation of civil rights under color of law. And suing the FBI, DOJ, and CIA Personnel personally.

I think Nancy Pelosi is hanging on to the impeachment ( not sending it to Senate/waiting ) as a way of black mailing Trump into stopping all investigations
she could be telling Trump ; stop all those investigations that will reveal all the bad things the Obama flying monkeys did and we will drop the impeachment…if you go on with the investigations we will use the impeachment ( and they have other dirty tricks up their sleeves, those people are pure evil )

She is holding the impeachment process up because to go ahead with it will only mean that the Senate will throw it out. When that happens the Democratic party will implode because they know that they were on thin ice to start with. They have no cards left to play at the table and they’re all out of chips. The allegations and incontrovertible evidence that they have been bluffing with for the past three years will not keep them in the game for the election in 2020. They do not have a legitimate contender to run against Trump and if they try to push this any further it will drive more voters into the Trump camp. Americans on a whole like to defend the underdog. Their compassion, however misguided and misdirected at times, will always try and assist where they see injustice. The Democrats have shown in spades that the socialist ideals that have infected the Democrat party since Obama have led them on the path to power they so desire, that they have created the massive populist movement that will be their demise. Trump is only the figurehead but in demonizing him they have created the underdog.
Just tell Nancy to sit on it. Who cares if she lets it die in the House. It has no effect because the process is incomplete.
What if the police fabricated and charged a political opponent, then alleging obstruction for demanding due process?
Would their politicians of different stripe claim this person was “charged” with something. Yes, but who would care?
All the affected one would have to do is demand their day in Court, as Trump has.
If they declined it would be quite obvious it was all political and law enforcement would lose credibility.
So the House by declining to forward articles of impeachment, would confirm a partisan and failed process.
Later, Trump could correct the historical record and petition the SCoUS to declare the putrid process void, given no crimes are identified, save invalid ones where President is charged for challenging subpoenas and invoking executive privilege.
All of this during an election campaign as the DeMarxist campaign against the “3rd impeached president.”

Trump stopping investigations would then constitute obstruction.
Pelosi delaying delivery of impeachment to the Senate could risk it being struck down by SCOTUS for violation of the 6th Amendment, which includes “right to a public trial without unnecessary delay”. Although this is a political, and not a strictly criminal matter, the House has charged Trump with “high crimes and misdemeanors”, so defense could easily argue that criminal trial standards (like due process) apply.
Keep them on that impeachment treadmill going nowhere. It’s a perfect place for them and their voter defying policies.
Different tactics, same strategy. Polarize the public to keep it close and try for a quick strike or slime to pull 2020 out.
